TheLastKhajiit Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Are Seika and Kiraya going to be sharks?

TheLastKhajiit Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Are there going to be new presets with the updated males? Or will old ones still work?

TheLastKhajiit Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Cool, I look forward to seeing them, but I guess that means the presets I got from ASSD will need updating

gregaaz Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Hi folks, I thought of you today when I was looking for a resource. Initially, I was just looking for a way to uniformly give Bosmer in my game pointy teeth (like in the option add-on for Auri). But every search I did ended in a dead end of lore experts correctly noting that Bosmer eating habits were a matter of religion, not biology, and so Skyrim-living Bosmer wouldn't have teeth any different then other elves. So then I thought "wouldn't it be cool if all Elves had pointy teeth? Imagine how much creepier the Thalmor would be!" and from there I thought "if anyone would know where to find a resource like this, it would be the Selachii Shark Race community. Thus comes my question: can anyone point me to a resource that would let me add pointed or shark-like teeth to the Elven races?

If you're implying anthro shark fans must all be maw fetishists connoisseurs, well... I mean, chances are there's some overlap there, but ehh, you're gonna be disappointed in this particular case. Quote Thus comes my question: can anyone point me to a resource that would let me add pointed or shark-like teeth to the Elven races? If vampire fangs are enough, there's probably a mod out there that adds fangs to female human(oid) vampires. Combine that with a mod to allow access to the vampire mouth/morph without being a vampire (which I'm pretty sure exists but I can't be arsed to search for right now) and you should be good to go. If you want actual shark-like teeth galore, then that would require a brand new mouth mesh (or at least a heavy edit of the vanilla humanoid mouth) so that's no easy task at all nor I think such a thing exists for now.

That's too bad. I was kind of hoping that I could work out something using the existing head part tris and texture sets, but it sounds like if I really wanted mer to have different teeth than humans, I'll need to do a lot of facegen nif editing, which is a huge pain in the neck. Will have to keep looking for alternatives. Thanks in any event for the information!

There is this mod, which adds a number of facial sliders, one of them being specific to Vampire Teeth, usable on at least all vanilla races - Expressive Facegen Morphs. Though with this it's only specific to the player, as It's likely adding them to vanilla NPCs would be a decent bit of work.

Bit of a coincidence (and count yourself lucky that I'm somewhat of a hoarder of interesting rare mods despite having zero use for them) but I happen to have a texture resource for making humanoid teeth pointy. You are gonna have to implement the assets yourself as I have zero interest in working with vanilla races, especially mer, but it'll get you started. Fish_Teeth.7z I'd love to give credit for these but I have no idea who made them, nor was it mentioned, but they are based on Odontaphobia by Eiries so partial credit there at least.

Blaze69 Posted February 18, 2021 Author Posted February 18, 2021 20 minutes ago, gregaaz said: Oh, I love it! You're right that implementation is still going to be a challenge, Not really. Tedious yes, but not particularly hard. Just gotta create a copy of the vanilla mouth nifs that point to those custom textures instead of the original ones, create a head part record duplicate pointing to that mesh, and then edit the elf race data to replace the references to the standard mouths to your new one instead. That should get them working on the player. You'll have to re-export FaceGen for all elf NPCs so they pick up on the new textures, though. To be honest the "that would require a brand new mouth mesh (or at least a heavy edit of the vanilla humanoid mouth)" part was actually just me being used to only working on beast races which do have 3D teeth and forgetting humanoids actually only have a flat plane mesh with "painted-on" teeth. Since it's actually the latter, all you have to do is replace the painted-on human teeth with painted-on fish teeth, and that part is already covered by the file above, so all you have left is the menial-but-tedious task of getting elves to use those separate textures instead of the generic/human ones.

Yes, that part is fairly straightforward. The tricky part is going to be getting all the various modded impacts to propagate out as desired. I might need to come up with a script to drive nifskope edits instead, just because I'm not confident the CK can handle the number of assets and NPC records it would have to load to do the export. I'm doing a little experimenting with applying texture sets to see if I can override the facegen nif information, but so far I'm not having much luck. We'll see though... I'm pretty confident there's an "elegant" solution, but if not like you said there's always the brute force approach.

The CK most definitely can handle re-FaceGenning all elves in the game since I know for a fact it can handle re-FaceGenning literally every playable race NPC ever (and some nonplayable ones too). We already did that for Yiffy Age. It may take ages and may crash a few times throughout the process, but it'll get the job done eventually. That being said, if you think you can come up with such a script to edit nifs in bulk, by all means go ahead since it would definitely come in handy for future prospects, lol. Quote I'm doing a little experimenting with applying texture sets to see if I can override the facegen nif information For texture sets in the plugin data to apply on the nif, the TriShape(s) in question need to be set to the "Skin Tint" shader, which I'm pretty sure the mouth mesh doesn't use nor it should. So chances are that won't work. 1

Maybe the mod / mod page could be of some help to reach your goal. Cheers.
Leggo_bro Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I’m having trouble customizing hair, when I switch to a glitched out hair it will crash the game. Is there a patch that I missed that will fix this problem?

I saw you made the same post in the Unofficial SE port thread, so if you're using SE with the Unofficial version, I'll refer back to that mod's description. Quote Important!!! This port is done by me, Blaze69 (Mod Author) is not responsible for, and won't be providing any support for this port. Until he creates the official port. If you need help with something from this port, ask me in a PM or in my support section!! I didn't make the port nor do I use SE much so I can't really help with it.

Did you even bother reading the mod description? Most notably the bold red text right below the title/logo? Just wondering.

Sorry for the disturbances.

Everything seems to be working but I'll double-check) and don't remember the required edits being too complex, but TBH I don't remember what I did so I may be wrong, lol. That being said, the update will still take a while longer.
