HDT SMP for SSE?

I see you have some system tools. Do you know of a tool that can troubleshoot my GTX970? I keep getting Windows messages that my system is slow due to graphics overload (!!!!) and do I want to shift to an 8-bit desktop color scheme? I tell it "Keep the current scheme and don't ask me again" but *sigh* it asks me again every time I come out of SSE or most other games and apps. I need something that will let me find out if my GTX970 really is "broken" or if it's just Windows being stupid. So far I have not been able to Google up anything helpful, and NVIDIA offers no such tools or any other help except BUY THIS CARD AT QUADRUPLE THE USUAL PRICE BECAUSE BITCOIN."

It's not up to graphic card, the game takes up all the graphics memory. When you get out of the game, the graphic still holds a busy memory that windows is hurrying with a diagnosis. Do not worry, it's not a problem.

I feel that you have misunderstanding about smp. In fact, SMP does not consume more resources than others. The essence of the problem is that SMP can generate a large number of physical collisions in an instant. If you are not skilled in XML writing, SMP will consume your machine resources. Smp collisions are generated based on the number of meshes on the surface of the model, so collision is the key. When CBP add the collision changed to CBPC, we can see a loss in the number of frames, as for HDT-PE. So far, I haven't seen much use of long skirt physics, either CBPC hdt-smp or hdt-pe,they're all CPU software acceleration, not GPU

I believe this is also referred to as the "no free lunch" theorem. But you've explained the predicament exactly. Optimizing collisions and perhaps adding the GPU with Physx are the only ways to really improve the actual performance. Otherwise, it's just simplifying it for the end user and distributors of content (which isn't unimportant either).

I still maintain that CBPC is "better" for those of us who do not have i9+GTX9900i machines in the sense that it provides 90% of SMP's physics and collisions at 10% of the cost*. If what @realclonesaid is accurate, and I have every reason to believe that it is, then I submit that what SMP needs is a "performance toggle" for those of us struggling along on rutabagas, squashes, potatoes and other vegetables waiting for the whole bitcoin bubble to blow up so we can afford to update our hardware again.

That "performance toggle" I suggested above may already be available via judicious xml tweaking, but the problem is that Sister Hydrogen has not provided any documentation so far, and the few people who actually know for sure what SMP is about (because they speak Chinese) are not sharing that knowledge as far as I can tell. So we're out here playing with SMP in the dark- trying this, trying that, assuming this, stumbling toward that...

Meanwhile, @Shizofnot only fully documents his CBPC system but published his source code on day one of the CBPC Beta! So it's no shock to me that many of us find CBPC more usable than SMP even if "it's not SMP's fault it's so performance-hungry."

I know that will not make any difference and all but I'm leaving Skyrim Special edition and returning to Oldrim, so goodbye everyone and thanks for all ^^

Aww. Sorry to see you go. Have fun. :classic_wub:

Maybe I'll return in some months, but my smp is far well done on oldrim. But the reason to return to oldrim is because a mod called <<Melee Combat Tweaks>> who make everything I ever wanted on a combat overhaul.

If my oldrim get too unstable I'll return...

One last question, someone know a program to proper weight meshes?

I apologize if this is overasked but I have little time to invest in research. Could a kind soul tell me which body replacer (unp/cbbe) works best with the current SL for SE, is SL lite the current best choice or not, what/where to get breast/butt/vagina physics working, and hopefully armor replacers that take advantage of said physics.

I know its a tall order for those of you who are well versed and immersed into this already to take time out to point a noob to the right place but it's very overwhelming looking through what feels like endless threads of info and various redundant mods. If there is a guide somewhere I would love a link to it. I have done all of this before in Oldrim but I know in the past few years a lot has changed.

Basically I want a sexy body with working physics, sexlab mods on top, and vanilla armor replacements I can edit in bodyslide that work out of the box and match the body I choose. I have had a lot of issues with the armor replacer clipping into the bodies in the past so I am willing to minimize the customization in favor of out of the box instant functionality without any time investment to get things working. (basically just a list of mods and an order in which to install them is what i'm looking for)

Any assistance is greatly appreciated, I would love to have my sexy adventure game back up and running!

Both CBBE and UUNP based bodies work well with SL Framework, which is pretty stable.

UUNP, some might say, has better weighing on bones but it is subjective. It also has the added benefit of having most Oldrim armors work with it (if not out of the box then after running meshes through SSE Nif Optimizer).

That said, CBBE is really the body that is becoming pretty much the standard, with a decent amount of HDT SMP cloth physics armors available courtesy of the massive efforts of some of the wonderful people on LL. HDT SMP is not particularly difficult to set up, but can be finicky.

The only competitor to HDT SMP right now is Shizof's CBPC, which can be found on the Nexus. It pretty much works out of the box and you can adjust the collision "spheres" to your body type (it works for both UUNP and CBBE). Physics armors for each body will work after building in Bodyslide.

*There is a way to get CBPC and HDT SMP working together where HDT handles only cloth physics and CBPC handles the other stuff, some say it helps with performance, there is a comment by a user here and on the Nexus page for CBPC on how to get it working.

As for armor replacers, my personal favorite skimpy armor mod is Bad Dog's UUNP replacer, which I have found no clipping issues for. There are however a wealth of CBBE armor replacers that have been tweaked carefully so that there are little to no clipping issues seen.

If you decide UUNP:

Check out Kokan's post, should still be on the front page below stickies, it gives a guide on how to install HDT SMP for UUNP

CBBE:

Download XP32

Bodyslide

The CBBE body

Armor replacer of your choice

HDT SMP or CBPC or both

CBBE SMP config, available off the CBBE nexus page.

Batch build your armors in Bodyslide after choosing the preset body type (or messing around to create your own), making sure to select the physics options if presented with a choice.

Run FNIS after just in case (or if you added any anim mods), and you should be good to go.

**Don't forget to get the correct version of SKSE for your game**

I agree with you. But even if you have a monster machine, HDT - SMP will cause fps drops, and makes the game unstable. I think - after a point - it is not about resource, its about the limit of the creation engine.

Hydrogen did not said that she will give out SMP source code, because she wont support it anymore? ( Im not sure where i have read this... )

I have SOS-HighPoly body meshes working with HDT-SMP (for SSE) including 3D Pubes (which you can easy remove using NifSkope if you don't want them), do anybody wants it? I can upload it here if thats ok. They work fine, there is small distortion in some positions like sneaking etc, probably cuz of increased polygons but it's not too much visible don't worry. But there is not hole around penis like in some other conversions.

They should also work fine with female body collisions, but I did not test it.

BTW. Hydrogen is a he not she?

Edit: Nobody wants it? Ok I will keep them for myself :P

This thread is like a guilty pleasure for me these days. I suspect that Hydrogen is actually still concerned about his HDT SMP creation, otherwise why would he bother releasing updates every time Bethesda nukes us with a new game update. In addition to this he actualy released 2 bugfix versions for this latest update.

Yes there are issues with HDT SMP, we've known this for ages. The thing is would you prefer a game with no cloth physics or glitches or a game that sometimes breaks but looks awesome?

I am very appreciative of the help but where can I get HDT SMP or CBPC? I found a lot of weird links and explanations that just confused me and many were as old as 10 months so I am not sure whats legit.

The latest versions of HDT SMP have been linked here by Gromilla, who has also kindly shared many of his conversions of SMP items. It should be in the previous pages of this thread, but you can find it in his signature, be sure to give him thanks if you do.

Alternatively, you can download it from 9damao, where you must register and then reply to the thread to download.

CBPC, by Shizof, is available on the Nexus.

Floppy balls

Ok, I'll bite since I was just thinking that the guy's balls need some physics. Did you port a mod for that or can you provide instructions?

Not mod, change loadorder. works only with unp schlong, only for npc and followers, I can not put an unp on my character, only High Poly Futanari schlong end Evil's Horse Penis 2 works for my..

when I try get immediately CTD.

Yes, "Sister Hydrogen" is a man according to people who know him.

And thanks for your offer of a high-poly body but there's no need to pout because nobody jumped on your bandwagon. Personally, I'm sticking with UUNP because ALL of the morphs/sliders I use are built in to it and I am VERY reluctant to try to rebuild my thousands of UUNP outfits to some new (unknown) body shape. I suspect others are in the same boat- no matter how beautiful a new body might be, it's all about the sliders and the bones. For example, one big reason I have not switched to CBBE is the absence of a Belly bone, which kills some interesting physics that I'm getting now with UUNP (thanks, @Shizof!) So far, only CBBE and UUNP seem to have enough sliders "built in" to suit most people. The new (under construction) UNPR body will have a good selection of sliders, but it's still a WIP.

As far as I know, *he* did not promise to publish his source code. Last year when Bethesda went back on their promise to stop unnecessarily breaking our games every month or two, a couple of people who know him asked him to either update SMP or release his source code. So far, he has chosen to update SMP and has not released the source code.

Thank you for the info! Then only we can do is waiting for updates, and try to play with the xml's to optimize somehow the performance. But i think in the case of skyrim se, mod authors have reached the limit of the creation engine.
