Guess it's time for me to leave the room. Don't wanna disturb you any more with the mods I have installed.

> Your mods are your mods and I really do not care what mods people have installed in their game(s). Not my business. The less I know about peoples' installed mods, the better it is for me. I just shared my opinion about that particular mod. Just as many people are disturbed with pedophilia mods, I am disturbed with such mods too. :)

Maybe someone wanted to bring something in the same vein as the godskin apostle armor, or pushed a bit too much with namira or the forlorns ?

although i understand why it disgusts you, i'm not making fun of you dw

> Even if you do making fun of me because of my comment, I don't care .... I have been insulted and attacked so many times that having peace periods on LL is kind of shocking to me :) :D  Anyway, thanks for being considerable. People who actively participate in community like this should respect mutual differences - this mod is shocking and disgusting to me, but it might be quite normal to someone else. I want to be understood in one thing - when i write posts like this, I DO NOT attack person (people) who support such mods and enjoy in them, I attack the IDEA. I always have in mind that just as I am disgusted with things like that, someone is disgusted with my life style and my incestuous nature. So, nobody is perfect especially not me. :)

You mean like sex?

Quite the opposite really. There is a reason why 'holy men' were often celibate and why the Christians, albeit incorrectly as per usual, said that masturbation would make one blind*. As I said such stories are generally alchemical in origin.

*Odin gives up one eye to gain knowledge. In ancient Greece seers (see-ers) were often said to be blind as was Homer.

The symbolism was consistent across the ancient world so if you gain an understanding of the symbolism you can start to understand the stories.

"That, among the ancients, Greeks as well as Barbarians, physiologia was a discourse on Nature that was wrapped in myths, or a theology most often disguised by enigmas and hidden meanings, and pertaining to the Mysteries, and that, for the crowd, what is said is more obscure than what is not said, and that what is not said is even more problematic than what is said: this is obvious when we consider the Orphic poems and the Egyptian and Phrygian discourses. Yet it is especially the secret rites of the initiations, and what is carried out symbolically in religious ceremonies, that reveal the thought of the ancients."

Plutarch

Herodotus said something similar earlier than this but I can't find it at the mo.

From memory Clash of the Titans was based on the Perseus myth so the sea creature was Cetus iirc

The OG Clash of the Titans had the Kraken, its version was hollyweird but still think herodotus brought that story of Perseus and the Kraken home with him? Easily could be wrong on Herodotus having had documents of this in his tales...

It was still asleep when Herodotus was around.

You do. Interestingly, the tale takes place in modern Israel, Sidon if memory serves. Scene of a major tsunami way back when. As a baby Perseus was cast into the sea in a chest.

I always thought that it would just be easier to sculpt it that way, technically speaking. IDK

Nope.

They used chads for the models and said models were generally hung like horses, as "working out" was only a literal thing at the time and the upper class doing so was considered generally busywork and a waste of your time if you weren't in physical or military trade, so genetics was definitely a deal in looking naturally fit.

Non-Spartan nobility tended to get butthurt about having to be openly compared or side-eyed by the ladies/little boys in public, so tiny peepees became the de rigueur, and this was amplified in Roman times to an even greater degree, and since most of the 'classical greek' statues bandied about are actually roman or byzantine or renaissance recreations, et voila.

That'd actually be more work.  Removing more material.

Hey, makes me feel better, so what's the issue again? :P

Ahh...thought so.

Well, no special optics are needed to see mine, thankfully.  ?

Still, when the sculpted Greek gods are "average-sized", it helps the "average" male feel better.  ;)

And your evidence for any of this would be? For example:

"Non-Spartan nobility"? What nobility would this be and how did 'Spartan' and 'non-Spartan' differ?

Name one source which discusses or mentions penis sizes in any way shape or form.

In the Mycenaean and classical period the 'upper classes' were generally land-owners. There were no standing armies so therefore no 'military trade'.

The Greeks generally did athletics naked and the audience would be men, women and children. The word 'gymnaseum' comes from the ancient Greek word for naked or nude.

The Greeks used boundary markers called Herms which were very often ithyphallic.

Classical statuary is not 'bandied about' - it is generally sat sitting in museums and clearly labelled as to its origin - whether Classical Greek, Roman, Byzantine, etc.

Don't know and don't care what a 'chad' is.

Maybe it was just that the artist's studios were a bit chilly. ?
