Pronunciation of this, if you'd please. :)

My assumption is to say it like "Bitter" but without the "r" at the end - as dumb as it may sound.

Yeah - like: Bit-teh.   That's likely what I'd do, at least...which would likely hasten what @steelpanther24 said, and make them hurriedly switch to English.  :P

Haha, j'imagine que ce doit être loin. ?

J'alterne souvent entre l'Anglais et le Français lorsque je pense, although english is more prevalent.

You just gave me an idea!

Could I spur you into writing a few different sentences and their translations?

With various words of various sorts to serve as sample for wording structure.

There are German speakers here that likely could do a much better job.   But, I never let incompetence ever stop me from doing a job so......

Bitte (Bit-a), Mein (mine) Herr (here), Sprechen (spreck-in) Sie (Zee) English?  = Excuse/Pardon Me Sir, Do you speak English? (this is a formal/polite way of saying it)

Ich (Ick) bin (ben) Idyll. = I am Idyll

Ich (Ick) kommt (Comp) auf (alf) France/UK/US = I come from France/UK/US

and as per every language class ever taught in US schools, everyone must learn this saying (no matter what langauge you learn)

Ich (Ick) gehe (gay-a) bibliotecha (bib-lee-o-techa). = I am going to the library

Note to German speakers, yes I am not using the verb to indicate motion, because the point is to give quick easy sayings that encourage the German speaker to switch to English.    Also, so she can have an experience like this:

Great, thanks! Now all I need is to learn the translation for each and every word plus a few specs and I'll be a trilinguist~

It pronounces especially well if I say it with a Russian-ish accent.

:classic_laugh: You can skip such nonsense for the last 30-40 years.

Either you meet people who understand english (or any other european language)  right away or you meet people who can't talk even that much german

Travel suggestion: don't even try to think that when you are e.g. in Prague :classic_dodgy: Hospitality might fade away in the blink of an eye

But I can also recommend Duolingo. Those months of isolation made us woriks use it to learn languages, too. So far, it worked better than my school days.

Small probably(...?) faulty/clunky/obviously newbie-ish introduction to try and figure it out, I got my dictionary handy for that, by the way, and Master could help me since Master speaks it but I'd rather not bother Master - because puck education institutions:

Meine name ist Idyll, ich bin eine schlampe obgleich auch eine künstlerin das typisch praktiken als eine zeichner oder maler jedoch sie könnte sagen ich hab auch gewesen arbeiten in andere felder solch als bildhauerei oder sogar musik und auch ist die schnucki hündin öffnung des Meister~

Was it utter crap?

Yeah, I've always been a better autodidact than I was a student.

:classic_laugh: Try it with more punctuation.

☝️ No need to build longer sentences than that. Upper/lower case won't matter in a spoken dialogue anyway

Yeeeaaah...

...But you knooow...

...Looong strings of words are kinda my thiiing~

Is it a thing in German, like, sentences are meant to be short?

Or is it more like a trick to minimize written (and spoken(?)) mistakes.

And, like, are all names meant to begin in upper case? Even the ones that don't refer to something specific like the way we refer to a whore as a "whore" and not "Whore" like it's her real-like name? Like, if the whore's name is Shelsea or something and thus is in upper case? (If it makes any sense.)

It's more like style.. and most people tend to make more mistakes in longer sentences.

Spoken language: it's where you are and what you want to achieve. On the street - short, on a conference talk - keep it clear and short,  in a bar - you know the drill :classic_biggrin:

Yes.

And another speaking thing

"ich" - please don't pronounce it "ick". It's terrible. :classic_blink: ?

Unfortunatly I don't know of a similar sound in english. But, if you try it like in "wish", a) you come across like someone from ?? and b) there's even a region where they have that as their common tongue . :classic_laugh:

Edit: The reality is somewhere in the middle between ck and sh

I actually plan on learning it spoken but also written if I'm to learn it at all - I either do or don't with languages haha.

Besides, it's obvious one would try to make it less convoluted when practising a tongue they're new to in public spaces, wastes less of everyone's time as it's more concise thus hopefully more understandable.

But I really like languages so I want to learn to make longer stuff properly. Would be great for story writing as well, so yeah.

Yeah, I think I got the word right when I say it, like, softly transit from the "I" sound to the "CH" sound with a nearly inaudible "S" sound - it's really hard to explain/express the vocal and writ specificities of tongues haha.

I just have to listen to some accents and I'll be able to replicate them for the most part, best part of being a cumslut's that I'm good with my mouth.

Ha! Get it~? Okay, I'm figuratively leaving...

Try watching some older german porn - they even had dialogues :classic_laugh:

Something from the early 2000-ish years.

If you try Duolingo, it's pretty good for that because you hear everything in the lessons. i did a few lessons for fun to learn german from an english perspective and I'd say they did a good job there.

Interesting, any suggestion for porn? Oldies can be goodies~

I don't really watch porn that much since, well, my life is a porn!

...And whilst I do go on PH and other such, I mostly go for amateur stuff - usually recent - so I wouldn't know where to find such dated content.

Very well, I'll see about trying it out.
