Dragonscale armor + jagged crown.

That ain't bad but feels weird wearing someone's bones when you aren't evil warlock/cannibal/forsworn/Skeletor.

PS: Best looking armor in the vanilla game. Prove me wrong, you can't.

Always been a fan of the Steel armor (the "no pauldrons" one). I know stats-wise it's trash-tier and gets outclassed pretty quick, but I really like the design for some reason, even in a 100% vanilla game.

Don't think I've mentioned it or posted any pics (guess that's another thing for the To Do list), but I've got a custom edit of the armor that removes the belly "belt plate" thing for dat sweet midriff and also gets rid of the skirt; turns out there are some actual fur "leggings" under the skirt so with the help of some edited TAWOBA pieces to make a belt (and cover the lack of a proper waist trim/cap on the normally-invisible leggings), the result is pretty damn nice. Or at least it looks good to me. I even removed that weird circle on the back of the armor to turn it into a proper tail hole.

Pretty much what I did. I'll play with your pack and tell if there's anything wrong but seemed to be fine when I did it.

Does anyone mind if I post smaller screencaps here? Sometimes I think I have a good idea but eventually can't make it work aside from 1 or 2 shots, like this Dawnguard thing and the previous RTX goof thing with pretty lanterns.

Bloody spectacular!

I had not seen the new appearance of the helmet.

Outclassed stats-wise, what's that?

Occasionally leads to some funky stuff though.

The steel armors are very ornate and nice in fantasy-nordic way though.

Woah, nice pics. I had to go check to see where that helmet came from, I didn't remember making it.

Blaze, I've thought about fiddling the steel armor along those lines. Post pics.

Still away from home, so I'm afraid I can't do that right now. Should be back before the end of the week, though, so you shouldn't need to wait for long. I'll make sure to snap at least one shot of my edit and post it as soon as I get the chance.

Glad to see that there is still a lot of activity with this mod ? I'm new here and having a bit of trouble. For some reason the Imperial race isn't being replaced with the Vaalsark model, it's instead giving a completely glitched and disturbing head with a human model and the eyes and mouth jutting out, seen here. This glitch is also happening with the orc race, giving a somehow even more disturbing result. Could it be something to do with my load order? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Absolutely terrifying.

Something is replacing the head meshes, move Yiffy Age to the bottom of your modlist (you are using Mod Organizer, right?).

I'm using Mod Organizer as well as NMM, I'm not really sure how to fully use Mod Organizer yet but here's my stuff for it. Thank you

Update: I moved the Yiffy mod to the bottom and it just magically fixed the problems, thanks for the tip ^^

Been while since I've been here, love what you've done with the mod, BadDog!

However, I'm running into problems with your TES5Edit scripts. I have a few mods in my load order that I think I'd need to furrify in order for things to work smoothly. Notably Dawn of Skyrim, JK's Skyrim (I have a patch file that lets the two work together, no need to worry) and Skyrim Sewers. It's giving me some errors when I try to add the furrify script namely,

Exception in unit UserScript line 248: Error in unit 'UserScript' on line 2436 : Type mismatch

I also have an armor mod, Common Clothes and Armors where your armor fix-up would be needed, but gives me a different error.

Error during Applying script "BD Furry Armor Fixup": Overflow while converting variant of type (Cardinal) into type (Integer)

I think I'm most likely doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. For the npcs, I'm highlighting just the npc actors and running the script as per the instructions. As for the armor, I'm just highlighting the mod as the script didn't say anything specific. Below is the load order and the TES5Edit log after everything loaded.

On a side note, does anyone know the mod Start Screen Clouds? It was an animated start screen mod that showed a bird's view of Helgen before it got destroyed. Apparently a month or two ago the author deleted their account on Nexus and as a result, the mod went with it. I've been meaning to reacquire it as I lost it when I caught an idiot ball and factory reset my computer for... technical difficulties. Wondering if anyone who has it or knows where it can still be found could shoot me a download link or something?

Okay, got some pics for you (and anybody that may want to check them out). Apologies for the lack of fancy posing and efects and such, I took these in a bit of a rush so there wasn't much room for enhancements:

Spoiler

Main:

Steel_M.jpg

Steel_F.jpg

Closeup:

Steel_Closeup_M.jpg

Steel_Closeup_F.jpg

Armor only (no gauntlets/boots):

Steel_NoHandsFeet_M.jpg

Steel_NoHandsFeet_F.jpg

Back:

Steel_Back_M.jpg

Steel_Back_F.jpg

Male set uses SOS, female set is UNP and has UUNP Bodyslide support. The "Pauldrons" version is exactly the same as this one but with the pauldrons added (duh). As you can see, the only difference between male and female versions is the TAWOBA thigh plates on females which are missing from males, but it should be pretty easy to refit them for males to have 100% matching sets between them.

Is this what you wanted to go for? And regardless of the answer, do you want me to send you the files for it?

That actually looks really good and something that could have easily been in vanilla game if Bethesda actually did not-as-practical armors. (not that majority of vanilla ones are practical either but you get my point)

I mean, 99% of what you see there was already included in the vanilla mesh pretty much as-shown (or 100% in the case of males, as the extra 1% is the TAWOBA piece). All I did was delete the skirt and belly plates and move the belt to cover the trim of the fur leggings; no wonder it gives off that look. But thanks anyway.

@ModernSilver Which exact mod is giving you the first error? I can try it out myself.

As for the second, do you have the latest? I fixed that one already and I *think* the fix is in the latest upload.

Coincidentally, I added that mod to my setup this morning.

Fixup isn't needed since it only adds new torsos, the hat and boot records it modifies just renames merchant stuff to fine stuff, e.g. Merchant's Hat to Fine Hat.

I agree with Sly, that's pretty awesome! My only nit-pic is that the finger-less gauntlets suppress your claws.(It is the Selachii, atm they don't have meshes for any other gauntlets other than their own, but that's another can of beans for another time) I'd like to actually be able to use that in-game!

I tested JK's SkyrimDawn of SkyrimSkyrim Sewers, and Riverwood Keep. They all returned the same error.

I downloaded the mod just two days ago, so I should have the latest.

It worked in my setup before as well. However I remember there being these "Embellished Mage hood"s that had serious clipping errors that I wanted to fix. I thought that mod added them, but perhaps not. It could be Clothing and Clutter fixes, but the script doesn't like that mod too much either.

My edit only changes the torso armor itself, the boots and gauntlets are 100% vanilla (or whichever body replacer you use, in my case UUNP), so if you use the Better Claws and Gauntlets mod, you'll get the proper clawed meshes for beast races.

Selachii compatibility for BCAG would require an edit of the plugin that removes "DefaultRace" from the human hand gauntlet AAs and adds it to the beast hand ones instead, though.

If Bad Dog wants to pick it up, I'll be happy to send the files his way, as the assets are all either vanilla or from mods with open permissions. Otherwise, I was thinking about posting it as a proper mod myself at some point, but even if the latter happens, it won't happen anytime soon.

I think post it on your own. Not skimpy enough for skimpy armors, not furry-specific for YA.

Here's an update to the two scripts. See if they work better.

BD Furry Transmogrifier V4.pas 113.83 kB · 2 downloads BD Furry Armor Fixup.pas 13.25 kB · 2 downloads

It worked on all of them except for Skyrim Sewers for some reason. Here's the log that followed.

Looking over it, I have no clue why it's assigning Apachi hairs, Campfire, COT, General Stores, and ImCh (Immersive Children) as masters.

It doesn't touch mage hoods at all IIRC. You can check yourself with xEdit.

Clothing and Clutter Fixes isn't at fault either (and why are you using the script on that when the GDrive has a patch for it already), I've been using that one forever and hoods look like they should with no clipping. (also I posted fixed .esp here that repairs Thalmor Hoods)

If you are using UUNP Vanilla Outfits, that one does change some filepaths and I have to fix common cowl (aka FarmerHat03) every time I update my smashed patch so could be that.

You should just load your whole load order in xEdit and see what touches or adds the embellished mage hoods.

When applying the scipts, you should only load the target plugin and YiffyAgeConsolidated (and their masters), nothing else.

I'm using the script on Clothing and Clutter Fixes because I feel the need to double check. Granted, Bad Dog most likely fixed it up since I last used it. Come to think of it, the hoods might've actually come from the Immersive College of Winterhold, as I seem to remember the college guards having it.

Keep in mind, I'm going off of what I can remember when I last played a few months ago. I haven't actually booted the game up yet, so assume that it's not a current issue.

I'll try that suggestion tomorrow, er, ten or twelve hours from now when I try to patch Skyrim Sewers again. Could be why Bad Dog's Furry Transmogrifier script was giving me some errors.
