Tombs Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but Anyone here know why my outfits are doing this? More suited for tech support, but to answer your question, looks like you used BodySlide on your body, but forgot to do the same for your armors/clothes. You have to use BodySlide on your armor/clothes as well to get it to fit to your new body shape. do i go to outfit studio for that ? because every time i batch build it does that.
DocClox Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 See what I did there? I spoke good things about this game, but no one will complain about that. You said Good Things about the game! I feel I must complain! This Will Not Do.
Kakabishan Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Some people enjoy certain aspects of the game, some people mightn't. I know I didnt like a whole lot of what they did with Fallout 4 and the continuing dumbing down of it, but once I just saw past that and played it for it was, it wasn't terrible. It was still fun.I feel nowadays, people just tend to focus too much on negative parts of the game or product, which is justifable and understandable, I just hoped people didn't feel the need to shove it in other peoples faces and tell them this is bad because of that. People seem to love saying why things are shit and are willing to call out other people if they enjoyed it.Which is why I loved games in the 90s. They were fun, they had flaws, and the internet wasn't so widespread for people to air their grievances with stuff which just made it feel like people just kept focusing on the negative part of the game solely, and bringing down peoples experience because of that.

It's part of BodySlide. That down menu that you select your body type from? You can select outfits from as well. If you're batch building, set that to CBBE Body, then go to the Preset right under that and select your preset that you use for your body. Then click batch build and select all the ones you want to build. It should auto build them to your body type.
Jazzman Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 [snip/signed] Which is why I loved games in the 90s. They were fun, they had flaws, and the internet wasn't so widespread for people to air their grievances with stuff which just made it feel like people just kept focusing on the negative part of the game solely, and bringing down peoples experience because of that. My sister and I started in the mid-90s, she was eight and me sweet six. I remember the funny two-dimensional world of sexual allusions and criminal illusions, the high pixelish adventure w/o casualties but /w an x that marked the hot spot instead - is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see us? We little girls were pretty sure about that. Indeed, we still had no internet back then, probably b/c of 'next neighbor 30 miles'. To get the utterly needed in-game tips we'd to wait for the monthly gamer magazine first, and we doubtlessly missed no issue. There was nothing to complain about, neither Lara Croft's pyramidal boobs nor the looks of the actors in Might & Magic or elsewhere. Who'd complain about fun, huh? And girls just want to have fun, and fun we got enuff for the bucks. So methinks, the problems of today are largely founded in the mutual absence of fun - companies seemingly don't produce it anymore and younger players apparently don't know what that might have been anyway. However, what both parties are familiar with is effective marketing - a complainer of today sells his complaints as good as he can by spreading them in the forums, repeating them until they become an omnipresent mantra, policy of the third kind. That might be what fun has turned into today, not very funny, I'd say.
DocClox Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 This has probably been linked here before but - purely for the benefit of one particular poster who seems to think that it's impossible to dislike FO4 without hating family life (or unable to cope with massive complexity of having all your design choices made for you by the game designer) here's a fairly balanced and well reasoned analysis of the game from a guy who's just become a new dad and who totally gets the family motivation. And he still thinks the plot sucks sweaty socks. So maybe it's not just me
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 DocClox, you're just a hater just to hate. Stop making fun of my game!
Spyder Arachnid Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Eh, the story was never one to be desired and I never said I enjoyed it. Sure there are some fun parts to it, but it has a lot of holes in it. The reason I enjoy the game is because it is fun to play. Story to the side, the game is enjoyable. As a Sims fan, building settlements is one of my favorite features. The combat is fun and keeps me entertained. Playing on Survival difficulty is just like using iNeeds from Skyrim, with the whole needing to drink, eat, sleep, and relax. The companion system could use a bit of tweaking, though still fun to have them around and hear their comments on different locations and things you do. And the customization is really fun to mess around with. Overall, the game is enjoyable. Sure the story may not be the best, but the rest of the game is at least fun to play. And for me, that is what matters. I mean, I've played some games with some really terrible story lines (Mass Effect 3 anyone?), but as long as the game play is decent, I can keep playing it.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Their stories have always left room for improvement. I'm not surprised by it, nor it's one of my major complaints. I could of easily played Fallout 4 with it's current story and just do it to do it. Like Skyrims story and New Vegas. Though, I never finished New Vegas's story. To me it ended when I killed Benny because that was the point of the main story. Which I think was cheesy. The story did seem to pick up as I was doing Mr. House quests, but the game was just not my vibe. Still, I played the game for hundreds of hours, but nothing close to Fallout 3. I do love Fallout 3. However, I know that it has it's shitty parts and I can understand how the older fans didn't appreciate where they took the lore with it. I can't argue there. The only thing I ever defended Bethesda with these old school fans was that Bethesda owns the franchise now and they can pretty much do what they want with it. If this was still created by Interplay and they did a complete 360 twist on the lore, I would say that's inexcusable. That's what Bethesda did with their game from Fallout 3 to Fallout 4. Fallout New Vegas held the same elements even though it didn't have Karma, but it had Reputation which was better. I've always felt that having both Karma and Reputation would make the game stand up a bit more than just using one.

Over here! Over heeerre! It was me who introduced the mind-boggling 'near-death experience theory' in the BioWare forum as a workable alternative to the popular 'indoctrination theory'. To challenge the bogus Mass Effect 3 ending was simply an obligation back then for any moronic Commander Shepard. And for the very first time in history we forced a company to change, to revise its hastily cobbled together ending. But what did we get in return, huh? Twice as much bullshit as before. Yeah yeah! Don't let that happen to you, sole survivors.
Darkening Demise Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Writing was always a problem with Bethesderp (but is great when Gamerpoop gets hold of it), they were best at lies thanks to Lying Howard. Fallout 4 is a decent poor man's shooter, but a blatant smack to the face and kick to the balls of a RPG. Come for the shooting, leave afterwards because you find yourself bored of all the shooting. After this monstrosity of a 'game' I find myself concerned for the future of Fallout and especially the next Elder Scrolls. Once Lying Howard is gone things may change though.
Halstrom Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Looks like Bethesda made good on their EULA.Maybe, maybe not, good publicity for both mods regardless
PsychoMachina Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Looks like Bethesda made good on their EULA.Maybe, maybe not, good publicity for both mods regardless Never played the Autumn Leaves mod, but I did the Brain Dead quest last week. I got more enjoyment killing the hotel ferals than solving the murder mystery though I have to admit I felt some satisfaction identifying the killer on my first attempt.

Yeah seemed a bit simplified to me, I was expecting more stuff like having to follow someone or sneak and steal evidence or hack a computer for data or just even a bit of searching for the murder weapon. I'm not into that crime solving stuff myself, but I like variety in game play from just "clear the dungeon, get the wand" It could have been done a lot better.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 This was something that was always obvious though. There toolkit is there for a reason apart from letting the community do their work. We seen it with FPS grenade hotkey and sprint mod implemented as an actual feature in Fallout now.
noodles1976 Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 ^ This Let's not forget that a few of the best modders from the community were hired by major studios because of their mods (Oscuro was hired by Obsidian & I think he worked on FNV...just to name one person). I only wish that Beth-soft would acknowledge when they are "influenced" by a modder when adding a feature...just say "Yeah, we really liked this mod by So-and-So and decided to add a similar thing to the core game/DLC". It will never happen, as they are under no legal obligation to do so per their EULA for the GECK/Creation Kit...but it would be awesome to see.

« Broken ‡ Mirror » Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Hey there all! I recently got FO4 and I would like to ask, before I start, are there any quality of life mods or ini tweak I should install/change first to make my experience better? If this is the wrong place to ask, please point me in the correct direction! Thanks!

Especially during the early days before the alternate mods come out.

lordcaptaintristan Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 I recently watched this And it got me thinking. Fallout 4 was not well recieved, and i think that video points out the reason behind it. Fallout have been a world-fantasy, where the focus is on the world and you can play a character in that, usually whatever character you like to play. So the game isnt REALLY about you, directly at least. But in fallout 4, its really hammered in that you are someone spesific, and the character concept is heavily weaved into the game design, meaning that its more of a personal-fantasy. So this break from expectations we had to the game, might be one very good reason why it was poorly recieved. PS: yes, it isnt the only reasons, but a very good one.
nestor28 Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 so does anyone know when the G.E.C.K. is going to be released? I know its still in beta so i was wondering when the final version is coming out so everyone can get modding

(Support) Nothing is stopping anyone from using the current Beta GECK to make mods. Many are
