Simple dumb but important question, I'm probably only halfway there but if I complete the main quest does the game end or can I continue playing?

You can definitely keep playing :)

So, I'm trying a second playthrough. I didn't complete the first one, but I got to the point where every time I arrived at the glowing sea I'd get a "defend this settlement" alert. Or two sometimes. So I'd go zapping off to one location. Stand around for ages because the attackers hadn't spawned yet, finally realise that I needed to talk to someone; utterly fail to establish defences because I had no concrete for turrets and the settlers had all buggered off so I couldn't man the guard posts. Finally the raiders showed up, got killed and I zapped off to defend another settlement only to be told I'd failed to defend some third place that no-one had bothered telling me about.

It didn't take much of that before I started thinking "fuck it, let's start again and make sure these places are defended from the start".

First thing: I really had forgotten how much I despise that opening sequence. "Aw, honey, why don't you play with his mobile, you know he loves that". STOP TRYING TO GET ME TO BOND WITH YOUR STUPID IMAGINARY BABY!

Then I get out of the vault, go through the dreary conversation with Coddsworth skipping as much as I can so I don't have to put up with too much cheap sentiment, and head off to Concord. Picked up Dogmeat on the way, dealt with the teleporting mole rats without problem and got the power armour. Dealt with the deathclaw without issues this time. It's odd - last time I was playing on "very easy" as a gesture of contempt for a game that seemed determined to fight my efforts to enjoy myself. This time I'm playing on Normal and the game doesn't seem in harder in any way. At least not considering I've not taken any combat perks.

Anyway, got all that done, and set off back to Sanctuary. No sign of Preston and his motley crew. I clean up some junk (trying to play a settlement builder this time, after all) then go back to the museum. They're all still there, quest marker still on Preston. "You want to go to Diamond City" he says, showing no sign of moving. Is the quest stuck because I didn't talk to the Mystic Junkie? "You need to get yourself to Diamond City" says Mama Murphy. OK, OK, I can take a hint. I need somewhere to do some trading in any case.

So I go there, trade some stuff, come back; everyone's still stuck in the bloody museum. I swear, I've not go so annoyed at a Beth game since Arena, and that was bad enough that I neary never played another one.

Oh, and a Merry Irradated Christmas to one and all!

My uneducated guess is that maybe console "disable - enable Preston" would help?

I'm on my second playthrough as well and now I always build a wall or many many turrets at a settlement everytime I get a new one. I got so tired of raiders wiping them out. Also I give extra missle launchers, fat man's, and laser guns to my settlers. But I am getting tired of the dead bodies piling up.

Romance

Why the $@#& did they add 'romance'?! Its-not-even-romance! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.<

Oh fucking lord all mighty I cannot wait for Loverslab to come to the rescue since they epically failed at ripping off Bioware so much in this shitty open world shooter they label a RPG. There's ZERO interaction between characters. Where's the hugging, kissing, patting on shoulder, etc.?! No where, because the animators suck donkey balls. The only reason to 'romance' anyone is for the lame perk they each have. Also the voices sound as if they're uncomfortable or forcing themselves to say things because of the awkward standing and talking with no interactions or real expressions. No real words other than 'like' and no real facial expressions or tone of their voice its all bull. I can not wait for LL to change all this up because Bethesda can't do @#&% on their own anymore, lazy 'developers' appealing towards soccer moms, liberals, and casual COD kiddies. Even Skyrim wasn't this big of a #@$% up! -_-

Someone found a way to equip baby shaun but I can't find the post. I remember that it removed your pipboy and that is what interested me.

Also has anyone found any asian modding sites for Fallout 4 yet? Skyrim had several and I always loved finding stuff on those.

Something that bothers me with Caits quest ,when she tells you about her  problem:

-there is no option to call the Minuteman for help, when talking with her(if you are their General)

-if you already discovered the place ,no options either(something like ,these Guys could be a real problem, whatever)

I like  her so far, only her Shotgun is a useless Weapon

not much yet, they prolly waiting for the ck to

Yeah, I generally avoid 3dm since I can never get anything off of there.

After 3 playthroughs to try the different outcomes (and one with mods, which definately helped), I can honestly say/ echo what many have already stated: FallOut 4 is merely a good game. So I am going to shelf it until the CK has come out and the modders make it an epic game. Kinda sad that modders have to drag a potentially awesome game out of the swamp of good/mediocre games.

Anyone have info on the creation kit, it is early 2016?

Apparently. If they follow what they did with Skyrim it'll be early Feb. Atom willing.

If modders can add the karma system, stats affecting dialogue, factions, disguises, etc. Then we may have a decent graphical mild upgraded semi clone of Fallout 3. This is the shitiest game by BGS to date. I can't believe I'm saying this, but hopefully Obsidian gets hold of the IP again and gives us the REAL Fallout 4. Not some retarded down casual COD clone with Far Cry open world blandness. They also haven't done jack shit about the errand boy quest system. Why the fuck does every RPG follow this? No one likes being someone elses bitch. -_-

The ending was total shit as well, with no differences besides who lived and who died.

I'm starting to miss getting a kick in the head. But like Todd Howard says "Next gen, streamlined!" Translation to English; 'To dumb a game down gameplay wise to appeal towards the majority because they lack any IQ higher than that of a potato. While doing so upgrade the graphics to appeal towards today's generation of R-tard Graphic Whores.' If that's what gaming is coming to (that and PC, feminazi, liberal controlled) then it won't last long at all. Oh wait it will since today's generation can't understand that, they just see "oooo purdy lights! :D :D :D :D"  -_-

"Now improved with added stupid", is how I always read that.

Hell that's how I read pretty much everything Todd Howard says. It always seems to be what he means.

Mods are for that they can counter the increasing stupidity of the games, its not only bethesda, sadly Stupid "normal" peop´le are entering the gamers domain and the companies ry to aggreagate them by Dumbing tjhe game because a lot of lazy retarded kids that werent supposed to play and M rated game wanted to try it. About the general ending, its good for a sequel, but I Liked rtyhe consequences of the endings. Brotherhood one fills the commonwealth with vertibirds and knight patrols hunting "abominations", institute ending gives allied sinths and special high tech stuff that only unlocks after the ending, i hasnt got the other endings because I dont like playing a hero.

While also keeping classic BGS features, like reatrded AI that makes you need to try not take advantage of, phisic and ragdoll glitches, clipping, random deaths, companions tghat stand on your way and annoying gods in children flesh, praise be The imortal radiation kids!!!! (seriously why kids on their games are always annoying, I always felt urges to Blow little lamplight on Fallout 3)

has anyone saw this one? finally someone spoke out of my mind

This guy's got valid points. I don't agree with everything there but some of it.

You will likely break the game killing her. And as for being able to change there status I don't think there is any info yet. WE might have to wait until the CK has been released. So that it can be properly overrode and made non essential.

Failout 4 is nothing but a dumbed down casual first person shooter appealing towards the Call of Duty community. Modders got their hands in some deep shit if they think they can fix this abomination of over 4 years of development. I mean what the frick were they doing during those 4 years?! Jerking it?! 4+ years should have turned up something better than this monstrosity. Skyrim wasn't even this bad! At least that stayed more true to the RPG genre and TES! Failout 4 breaks away from the series. I wonder, did Infinity Ward partake in development? We know Treyarch sure didn't otherwise there would be a decent story line!
