This is the shitiest game by BGS to date. I can't believe I'm saying this, but hopefully Obsidian gets hold of the IP again and gives us the REAL Fallout 4. Not some retarded down casual COD clone with Far Cry open world blandness. They also haven't done jack shit about the errand boy quest system. Why the fuck does every RPG follow this? No one likes being someone elses bitch. The ending was total shit as well, with no differences besides who lived and who died. I'm starting to miss getting a kick in the head. But like Todd Howard says "Next gen, streamlined!" Translation to English; 'To dumb a game down gameplay wise to appeal towards the majority because they lack any IQ higher than that of a potato. While doing so upgrade the graphics to appeal towards today's generation of R-tard Graphic Whores.' If that's what gaming is coming to (that and PC, feminazi, liberal controlled) then it won't last long at all. Oh wait it will since today's generation can't understand that, they just see "oooo purdy lights! :D :D" Mods are for that they can counter the increasing stupidity of the games, its not only bethesda, sadly Stupid "normal" peop´le are entering the gamers domain and the companies ry to aggreagate them by Dumbing tjhe game because a lot of lazy retarded kids that werent supposed to play and M rated game wanted to try it. About the general ending, its good for a sequel, but I Liked rtyhe consequences of the endings. Brotherhood one fills the commonwealth with vertibirds and knight patrols hunting "abominations", institute ending gives allied sinths and special high tech stuff that only unlocks after the ending, i hasnt got the other endings because I dont like playing a hero. I'm starting to miss getting a kick in the head. But like Todd Howard says "Next gen, streamlined!" "Now improved with added stupid", is how I always read that. Hell that's how I read pretty much everything Todd Howard says. It always seems to be what he means. While also keeping classic BGS features, like reatrded AI that makes you need to try not take advantage of, phisic and ragdoll glitches, clipping, random deaths, companions tghat stand on your way and annoying gods in children flesh, praise be The imortal radiation kids!!!! (seriously why kids on their games are always annoying, I always felt urges to Blow little lamplight on Fallout 3) Failout 4 is nothing but a dumbed down casual first person shooter appealing towards the Call of Duty community. Modders got their hands in some deep shit if they think they can fix this abomination of over 4 years of development. I mean what the frick were they doing during those 4 years?! Jerking it?! 4+ years should have turned up something better than this monstrosity. Skyrim wasn't even this bad! At least that stayed more true to the RPG genre and TES! Failout 4 breaks away from the series. I wonder, did Infinity Ward partake in development? We know Treyarch sure didn't otherwise there would be a decent story line! I liked the main quest, and some questlines, but I agree they need more quests but I dont think Itas tods howard or the developers fault. aonther day i went to the files and looked for cut content and got as surprised as pissed.There was about 40 hours of audio cut and even some entire questilnes and sistems that looked fucking awesome but complex. So0me of the stuff that were cut but complete: The combat zone was supposed to be an arena, to gert cait You would need to became the new champion. The raiders werent going to be hostile and you could bet on the fights. There was another brotherhood of steel ending, when maxon took over he scrapped the Fallout 3 brotherhood of helping people fir the original brotherhood ideals, instead of atacking dance you could seek those that disagree with maxons and take over the brotherhood as the new elder and danse would be your right hand, then you could choose to destroy the imnstitute but leave the sinths alive since it wasnt theyr fault. There was a underwater questline called 10000 miles under the sea and you would use the harpoon gun on it, but the underwater combat scripts are incomplete (this one was probably beacuse of time and may still appear on DLC) Several quets had an evil solution that was cut, even if they were coded and had the audio files. Some quests were evil and twisted but cut. Some scripts werent being used for anything (I was too lazy to try to discover what they do) My theory is that they wanted to put this shit but the CEo wanted money and to increase the ammount of players so they had to remove some stuff (AKA dumbing down) Someone should put this shit back when GECK comes out.

The concept art has Mama Murphy's famous chair being upgradable to a flying weapons platform. All we have left of that is her insistence on you building a special (but entirely unremarkable) chair. Carrington gives you a few hints that he'd be willing to assume leadership of the Railroad and guide them down a more moderate path - but the only other trace of that is one quest where they both ask your opinion and they you do what Desi wants anyway. Beth always does this, it's just the first time I've seen them do it with an entire game. I think something went catastrophically wrong in development and F4 is what they could rapidly kludge together out of the wreckage in time to make deadline. Someone should put this shit back when GECK comes out. I'm sure we'll see some of it. Bits will be like those in Arthmoor's Cutting Room Floor mod, where minimal changes are needed to restore cut content. Bits will be like the Epic Civil War where there's a lot of very cool stuff that isn't quite stable and is probably never going to play well anything else ... and bits of it will be like the cart physics and only really be usable if you're prepared to accept a certain amount of glitchiness. I'm sure the game they tried to make was fickin' awesome. It's just a pity so little of that made it through to the final product.

From all the cut questlines and quests what i really want to see is the possibility of taking over the brotherhood. I didint liked them in Fallout 2, Loved them in fallout 3, Liked them in fallout new vegas and fucking hate them in fallout 4. On fallout 3 they wanted to terminate the Super mutants to preotect people but they were aware of the city on the museum (I forgot how its called) but just ignored them, they were aware ghouls werent to blame and they never asked for that. Then Elder nazi takes over and tries to "purify" the commonwealth with his army and bullshit, I got really disapointed on what he became, when i played fallout 3 I hoped he would continue the eastern brotherhood instead of becoming worse then the eastern one, I got really disapóinted and kinda hoped my FO3 character could go to the commonwealth and beat the fucking crap out of him. Them "new" brotherhood is more moderate for what i heard on the files and its ok with synths and ghopuls as long they dont cause problems (of course, since danse is a synth)

They give you a bunch of snarky and hostile dialogue that in the end goes nowhere because you cave in and go - ok, I'll help you. Even having (stupid) evil options would have helped with the cloned quests. Not to say all quests are that bad, and atleast it improves from FO3 in just about every way. No more retarded superhero quests - still stupid objectives but the writing's much better. AND NO MOIRA. I just wish they had put even an ounce of effort into the companions, not that effort isn't lacking elsewhere. FO3 had one good companion - Sydney, and she was just temporary, although a mod fixed that. And yet they pretty much reused the design of Jericho and Clover, why? Dogmeat seems to be the best because he doesn't say the same things all the time.

And judging by both quests' quanity and quality, F4 is short. Also, more and more people cums to conclusion that Bethesda just ignored Fallout New Vegas. No. it's kinda opposite. Bethesda took the three-act system and a number of 4 factions from FNV, companions have better writting (some even useful in gameplay), crafting system, you get the idea. Too bad these things' not well developed. What were they doing SIX YEARS? Things like cloth physics and hair physics done exactly how it was in VTM: Bloodlines. Which is bad news for high-million budget project with Bethesda-level of detail and full carte blanche from the publisher.

Since this is going to be their new mod distribution platform, a lot of people are speculating that they're getting ready to release the GECK. Of course, even if it's true, the time between "getting ready" and "actually releasing" could be fairly elastic. Still, it's better than no activity at all.

Still, it's better than no activity at all. That's one half of what worries me. They aren't giving us hard facts and seem to be stalling for time. I raised the question of whether porting mods, that have to be made on PCs, to consoles would work in a different thread. I know that's the only reasonable way to do it but it's going to be interesting to see if they can overcome the conflicts of differing systems trying to use the same coding. I'm not so sure even Microsoft, the ones writing the platform, can pull it off flawlessly. They likely won't release the GECK until the platform is functioning. Kind of unfair to PC users who could be making mods right now and giving them something to distribute. The other half of what worries me is that Bethesda will get tyrannical about mods made with the GECK. They could easily include code to render files incompatible across computers unless they go through the platform, legally demand (but not enforce) that mods go through their platform, or just charge a token fee to download mods from their platform. Paranoid and cynical, I know, but Todd Howard has given us plenty of reasons to be cynical about where he's steering things.

XD These are exactly what I'm afraid Bethesda will do. On paper they seems like good ideas. But in practice I can see them killing modding. Look at Steam and what users did when they tried to implement a pay-to-download-mods system. Restricting mods made with the GECK to run only when downloaded from Bethesda.net (it's rather easy to do: add some coding that only they can legally strip so mods won't work across computers) would alienate modders and users alike. Failure to stimulate a healthy modding community for this game will bite them in the ass twice: once for computer players, again for console players who want to experience mods for the first time. To clarify my own position, it's not that I hate this game but that I was so horribly disappointed in the lack of overall content. My hopes are that mods and DLC make use of the overwhelming potential that's there and salvage things. But the fact that the base game was released with so little depth that it needs mods to feel like a finished product is a bad sign.

That or change them one by one.
