jaberwocky Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I perhaps have a nice and simple solution that might prevent quests to break down, while the end result could be that DCL could actually makes POP a little bit more devious should the dragonborn be unlucky. I am curious about your thoughts. Anyway, what if the player will not be arrested in certain conditions, like when wearing a yoke? The guard could simply state that the player is apparently been punished for another crime currently. But... the guards will however state that the player only has 24 hours to report back (without the yoke) or else the bounty will be doubled. This also means adding an additional check to see if bounty hunters should appear. "But I cannot get out of these bindings!" "That will be your problem, not mine." This way, other quests will not break, while in the meantime wearing devious devices cannot be used as a "get out of jail for free" card. In contrary, when the player is not able to get out of the yoke and report back soon enough, the player gets into more trouble. This way both DCL and POP could work together to make live just a little bit harder for the dragonborn. Besides, most of DCL quests will take way more than 24h, and they become the player's main focus of attention - its one of the reasons they are so awesome. That some of the quests from DCL takes more than 24 (or 48) hours is actually the whole point! Because when that happens, the dragonborn is not able to report (without the blocking items locked on her) soon enough, meaning the bounty (and possible punishment) will be increased while the dragonborn might be helpless to prevent it from happening. This could even happen two times in a row. Result: DCL could be used to make POP more devious. One exception that I know of that remains is the Rubber Doll quest as that one adds quest items over time. It is probably hard (and perhaps impossible) to take into consideration future quest-items in a proper way without breaking anything. Anyway... I am curious if we could expect any update soon and if you could tell anything about the suggestions made earlier: Prevent the ability to pay your bounty (unless perhaps when the bounty is petty). Add the option to let time fly by at 360 speed, making petty and smaller punishments take a lot less time compared to heavier punishments (assuming that wait/sleep is disabled). Corrupted guards, thus the dragonborn might get a bounty while being a good citizen (and not know about the bounty either). Spanking for making the guards look bad when collecting bounties. A temporary gag of shame for shouting in the city Or is there anything else that we might expect? Although I can imagine that you might wish for the next update to contain a few nice surprises.

I don't know much about programming but Inte's solution seems like it would have solved the issue. I'm just saying. I fail to see how you're making this any better. Why are you stirring the pot? Your other post just before (about assigning blame and winning arguments) was especially inflamatory. Um... Sorry? I was just trying to get them to actually solve this. I'd like to play both mods together. Maybe that was the wrong approach to accomplish that. Still, as I see it, I am not wrong.

I would like to get punished more often in the cell without having like 20 tomatosoups. So for example you set it to 3 and get 3 tomatosoups every day wenn you first get send to the cell. Or after 3 punishments you wont get more tomatosoups untill the next punishment on the next day. OK, I've added something similar for POP 8f. You have a wider variety to choose from (including something for vampires) and also a random option which might not give you any food at all. I've also added drinks the same way. Yes, I like this.
spoonsinger Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Just curious, (because it didn't seem to matter in this case), but on the latest version of the patch - on a new game - I got two dialogs, (the same), saying I'm not using 1.59c Sexlab. I haven't seen that in months, (and basically I think I've wasted time from my actual life doing at least two builds a week since December(*)). Just me or an endemic problem which will undermine the world economy, eat the contents of your fridge and rape your cat? (*) I think, (within confines of game with a shed load of mods), I have it down to pat, (or the actual game I'd play). However new shiny stuff is always tempting. Not a boast, and I suspect with different hardware I could make it look better or smoother, but - you know - life, sometimes can be more interesting. (i.e. "may you live in interesting times" - type thing - maybe good maybe bad. time will tell)

What have I done to this poor game Sounds like you have rogue AIs running around, only 2 fixes for those. Load a save from before that happen. Allow the Ai to finish.

Inte Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 Well POP 8g (unreleased) has a key bind that will allow you to force/release active AIs. So in your case you would have to 'Force AI' and see what happens, If your PC takes off and starts doing naughty things like unlocking locked doors, or just starts walking, then yes that is a rogue AI, and you have to wait for it to finish doing its thing or load an earlier save where its not active. You have to kinda have to allow it to do whatever it needs to do, and you can't use the game's wait feature, because that will just pause it. Now in the other hand, if your PC just stands there frozen, no active AIs, it sounds counterintuitive but that's just the way it is. In this case you would 'Release Ai' and go about your business.
shiagwen Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 getting arrested doesnt work for me in the 8 series. no problem in the 7 series. weather the guard does not change to the prison or i stuck with the gaurd and the jailer, nothing happens. enable / disable arrest scene in mcm has no effect to this. Another Question : there are many nice npc in Dragonsreach during the cage scenario. have you made them by yourself or do they come from a mod ? if so, which one?

Black714 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Sorry, I have a request to add some items from my mods into your mods, As far as I know Inte mods support devious device.... like: Added permanent device and prisoner plug after release, (the Plug and belt for female ex-convict) support for additional devious key like "Imperial/Stormcloak Master key (Devious Regulation), Protector amulet (Capture Dreams). Kelinari Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 So repeatedly reloading saves, releasing and forcing ai usually works till a while at least on the pillory, can't get it to work for anything else yet but im trying. But with the mass of mods I have I can't wait for a key for this xD

Xatos Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 For Prison Overhaul V033 do I only need the latest 033 fix file or do I need all 3 and load them in order before getting your patch? The 031 file is 2.5~mb while the fixes are only 900~kb so this leads me to being skeptical on only needing the latest.

Putting coding difficulty aside, there needs to be more furniture placed for the extra followers to use, and from what I see, most of the locations that PO uses for its pillory scenario are already pretty damn crowded. The Windhelm cell is also going to be extremely cramped with more than just 1 follower.
