silentdark Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Hello everyone, I have assumed the role of maintainer for this mod, as Coopervane has ceased involvement. As such, this mod is no longer marked as [Dead]. A new release (Provided by T3h0th3r) will be available later today, containing the necessary changes to transition all boots from HDT-HighHeels, to a NiOverride based system. I've tested the new version for NiOverride system, but it said "This device (Ballet Boots) requires HDT HighHeels System, which you do not have installed."

Mord Sif Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Is there somewhere a compatability patch available for Immersive College of Winterhold? Said mod alters the college completely and even adds some locations (smithing basement for example). Sadly because of this neither the key nor the forbidden bookcase are present and cheating the tome into your inventory does not start that ol' orcs (forgot his name) quest. While Immersive College does make the forbidden bookcase inaccessible the note and key do remain on the bench. I've activated the quest before by taking the key, reading the note, cheating the books into inventory and then talking to Urag. Here's an old post from the DDi thread (DDi is the mod that adds the bookcase and related quest, not DDx.) http://www.loverslab.com/topic/21484-devious-devices-integration-1092015/?p=1167247 As you'll see from that the bookcase should still be accessible from a certain angle, and the key should still be there but a little harder to pick up. Unless the Immersive College mod has changed in the time since, it should all still work. Whichever way you end up getting the book, the quest should still trigger provided you're not in any locked devices at the time.

Somehow packed the wrong meshes. Fixed version here (download zip) until Min updates the main file. @Min, please update
BlueLight Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 A problem with the front page links. The part DDA: http://www.loverslab...devices-assets/DDI: http://www.loverslab...uests-05092014/ is linking to http://www.loverslab...devices-assets/http://www.loverslab...uests-05092014/ not to the mod location.

t3h0th3r Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Now that it let's me upload again, here's the fixed version in main download. [edit]: Wow i wasn't aware how bad zip and rar are, 7zip makes half sized archives O_o. [edit2]: now with fixed check for correct NiO version instead of hdtHH
Min Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Now that it let's me upload again, here's the fixed version: DDx-1.2.3.7z [edit]: Wow i wasn't aware how bad zip and rar are, 7zip makes half sized archives O_o. You can muck with the compression ratio to significantly improve the default with .rar's.

You can muck with the compression ratio to significantly improve the default with .rar's. I believe it also relates to what program you use. For instances i've heard (this was years ago) that rar compressed better than .7z on winrar than if you used 7zip. Zips are a basic archive format included with windows so i'm not shocked someone came up with a better algorithm.

Versh Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Hey Min, thanks for your work. Appreciated as always
darkevilhum Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I've started running 'no pun intended' into an issue where the high heel footstep sound constantly loops even when standing still. This only seems to occur with the ebonite restrictive boots equipped. Any suggestions?
aim4it Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Was your character playing the cover self animation? If so that's a known issue with the animation having sound enabled.
Min Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 What happened to @Coopervane? Coopervane stepped down for personal reasons.
Inte Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 What happened to @Coopervane? Coopervane stepped down for personal reasons. Ah, I see. DD mods should not be taken too seriously, after all they are just an escape just like all RPG's; just an assumed role of a character in a fictional setting. Hopefully @Coopervane will come back for Fallout 4.
Coopervane Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 What happened to @Coopervane? I'll explain it in a spoiler tag, because it's not pleasant reading. Fair warning. Suicide happened. No i'm not kidding. A few weeks back i fell into a very deep depression, cleared my profile, and tried to kill myself. Someone found me dying and an ambulance was called, i woke up three days later in a hospital bed with who even knows how many tubes sticking out of me. I'm a childhood sexual abuse survivor, a man raped me countless times when i was 8 years old. Most survivors do not live to be 30 years old (the suicide rate for childhood rape victims is nearly 50% before the age of 25, it slows down after that age, but it doesen't stop, most victims do not survive to die naturally). The fact that i've lived as long as i have was beating the odds, but my mental state has been worsening for the last few months, depression, panick attacks, flashbacks to the abuse, that sort of thing, and i finally coulden't deal with it anymore. I've been falling in and out of suicidal depression since my attempt, the only thing that keeps me going right now is that i was finally granted Psychiatric aid after the attempt (treatment hasen't started yet, i'm still waiting for that), this after they denied my requests for several years. So there's a glimmer of hope on the horizon that wasen't there before. That, and perhabs more importantly, a very good friend of mine has been a great support, i owe her more than she could know. It's not pleasant, but i'm coming out and saying it anyway because people could stand to be better educated on the subject. It's real, it happens all the bloody time and not just the few times it gets mention in the TV news, and despite modern Psychiatry beeing only all to aware that it is a very serious problem for the victims, there is almost no help for the survivors unless they can afford to pay for it out of their own pocket. People don't want to talk about it, or even think about it, it's ugly and people don't want to be confronted with it, and so we're passed by when causes get championed, and usually left to fend for ourselves. Keep yourself safe, it's a mean world out there. - Coops.
darkevilhum Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Was your character playing the cover self animation? If so that's a known issue with the animation having sound enabled. Ah, Indeed she was/ is. Thanks for that.

special Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Since updating to 1.2.3, restrictive boots now appear under the floor. I assume this is due to the removal of HDT-HH ?I have installed NiOverride but boots still don't 'raise' the player up. What am I doing wrong?
