Hey Guys,

 

I've been having a consistent problem for awhile with textures. No Ebonite Textures ever seem to work for me, and some items like the Pony Boots are completely invisible. I've tried disabling and re-enabling the mod via mod manager, but that hasn't helped. Do you all have any suggestions?

Probably a botched installation. Uninstall the mod -completely- and reinstall it. Then try with a new save game to see if that works.

I'll explain it in a spoiler tag, because it's not pleasant reading. Fair warning.

 

 

Suicide happened.

 

No i'm not kidding. A few weeks back i fell into a very deep depression, cleared my profile, and tried to kill myself. Someone found me dying and an ambulance was called, i woke up three days later in a hospital bed with who even knows how many tubes sticking out of me.

 

 

I'm a childhood sexual abuse survivor, a man raped me countless times when i was 8 years old. Most survivors do not live to be 30 years old (the suicide rate for childhood rape victims is nearly 50% before the age of 25, it slows down after that age, but it doesen't stop, most victims do not survive to die naturally). The fact that i've lived as long as i have was beating the odds, but my mental state has been worsening for the last few months, depression, panick attacks, flashbacks to the abuse, that sort of thing, and i finally coulden't deal with it anymore.

 

 

I've been falling in and out of suicidal depression since my attempt, the only thing that keeps me going right now is that i was finally granted Psychiatric aid after the attempt (treatment hasen't started yet, i'm still waiting for that), this after they denied my requests for several years. So there's a glimmer of hope on the horizon that wasen't there before. That, and perhabs more importantly, a very good friend of mine has been a great support, i owe her more than she could know.

 

 

It's not pleasant, but i'm coming out and saying it anyway because people could stand to be better educated on the subject. It's real, it happens all the bloody time and not just the few times it gets mention in the TV news, and despite modern Psychiatry beeing only all to aware that it is a very serious problem for the victims, there is almost no help for the survivors unless they can afford to pay for it out of their own pocket. People don't want to talk about it, or even think about it, it's ugly and people don't want to be confronted with it, and so we're passed by when causes get championed, and usually left to fend for ourselves.

Wow, I don't know what to say, I myself was abused physically by my former step-father. It made me a pretty angry guy in my younger years, I've also been in and out of Psych hospitals when I was young as well, and have tried to commit suicide myself. My real father DID commit suicide and he left me a note, most of it was negative talk about my mother. My cousin recently committed suicide, I feel regret that I didn't get to know her more than the rare family gathering, perhaps I could have helped her, I will never know. I've gotten better but it has taken time, the good thing is that I left the anger behind by becoming more spiritual, trying to find some sense of order, I guess that is why I majored in Religious Studies, it exposed me to philosophy, history, anthropology, etc. What also helped me was becoming a Therapist Tech at the local MHMR (Mental Health and Mental Retardation) Community Center. I took care of consumers (patients) who were pretty much abandoned by their families because of their conditions, it might sound harsh and a bit selfish, but it made me thankful for what I had. I worked there several years before going into the family business, when I was sure I had my own personal issues worked out. Best thing is time, and working towards fixing yourself, first by loving yourself. I don't know why I tell you this now, but I hope it helps in some mild way to know someone who has had a similar experience. Honestly, if it wasn't for my mother's continued support over the years, I would have ended my life years ago. I honestly don't know what I will do when she passes, I try to not think about it.

I stumbled over this thread while trying to see if the mod is still in good working order, and I noticed this (slightly old) subthread and felt I should comment (briefly) on it:

 

So, first, I am in the same general category that you all are in. (I "lost" my "virginity" when I was three, and my parents were adherents to the corporeal punishment school of child care. And, for that matter, I was born on drugs because hospital and it took me a week to gain consciousness.) I have also made the mistake of being an attractive enough of an adult to get to experience rape (and other forms of abuse) outside of childhood. I've adapted... But I have also had considerable "good" and/or "boring" experiences, and those seem like they should also be relevant to my own moderate levels of well-being.

 

Second, though, given my own experiences and my studies of a variety of subjects (and this is my motivation for responding here), I am very dubious of any statistics relating to concepts of "abuse". You do not get accurate self-reported statistics on subjects which people do not like to discuss. But wow, people make up all sorts of stuff about this subject. I am very inclined to believe people who report themselves being victims - there's enough social stigma on that issue that I think people tend to be reluctant to admit their experiences. But on the other side of the fence - the people who shush up the conversations and make up reasons why this is more horrible than it is - them, I could do without. I think the best thing that "people who want to help" could do is just say stuff like: "I have no experience on this subject but talking about it makes me uncomfortable." Instead, though, it seems like people prefer to make up and repeat sweeping generalizations to scare everyone else away from the subject.

 

Anyways, in real life, this is can be a gross subject or a fetish subject or an angst subject or a crusade subject or any of countless other things. In games, though, this kind of thing is mild compared to the combat mechanics of many, many popular games.

 

So, anyways, personally, I think people should try to project their emotions on this subject into games - that can be good therapy for survivors, and these kinds of media are probably the only format that can even represent all the contradictory nonsense of an often forbidden topic.

I have some problem.

 

The custom ebonite slave harness will "disapear" when i try to wear some clothes,nipple piercings or chastity bar but failed.And i can`t wear it again.

 

The custom ebonite blindfold will be removed when i try to eqiup a helmet but failed,And i can  try to wear it again.

 

The old mod "Live a Deviant Life"  can`t work  well any more because these issues.

 

And why don`t you allow actor to wear nipple piercings or chastity bar  when she have already wore the custom ebonite slave harness?

i can't equip the restrictive corset and  the restrictive gloves , but all the other items works right , someone knows why ?

These boots and the grey ones or black ones that are the same kind as these clip through the ground. I have Nioveride or whatever it's called. This variant that always clips through the ground like the game isn't setting a heel height appropriately

The transformation flag is inserted directly into the mesh. All options included with the installer (UNP and CBBE) have the proper flags. But if you are using an outdated/buggy replacer you may run into issues. Make sure that your installation is up to date and free of conflicts.

 

Personally I'm using the UUNP conversion by Gameplayer and the flags are set correctly there.

CBBE conversion I used - the one recommended in Cursed Loot download page - does not seem to work properly. I haven't found any way to make UUNP pleasing to my eye, so switching over to it would be hard. It is mostly due to textures. I am used to Navatsea's textures, so all UUNP compatible female textures look extremely plastic to me - no offense meant for peoples preferring them.

These are just a retexture right now, but considering that DDx has separate sets for other colors, I'm assuming they'd get turned into separate items if they get implemented in a future release. I'm just not sure how to do that myself.

DDi is required because it provides the scripts, keywords and general functionality for locking the devices, as well as all the other restricting features. Without ddi none of the items from ddx would lock, vibrate, shock, bind, enforce chastity etc. And the devious mods - particularly with the chastity devices - are built around Aroused as a key part of how they function.

Thank you for the infos. But i was thinking, i just need the boots meshes ant textures to equip them on some npcs in a horse training addon for Maria Eden. It's just cameo and i would like to keep things simple. Can the mod author let me use the boots assets? I mean the pony boots

I can't give you that permission as I didn't make these boots. Tbh, I can't remember who made this particular model, so I can't even tell you who to ask.
