If we want to go that route then, yes, pretty much everything is now a thinly veiled marketing campaign for something. In two days (Dec. 26th) the Valentines Day candy and displays will start going up in most major retail stores. 
I say that it might end when brick and mortar stores finally disappear simply due to the fact that there isn't really much for Amazon, e-bay or Ali Baba(?) to decorate. Sure, google has a snow globe doodle up but amazon hasn't done anything to the main page.

 

Also if we want to get into how deep the rabbit hole goes with marketing I could start pointing out that even something as simple as where you place your bed can help determine your attitudes toward sex. It all comes back to reproduction and the continuation of our species in the end.

Just watched the first episode - of course the role of a two older white guys from the books is compressed and taken by a young bratty female, Stregobor ( evul white man with power ) is much more villainous and Renfri ( rebelious young female ) much less ambigious than in books, black knights in Cintra, black villagers in Blaviken, Calanthe looks like a god damned Bhutto Benazir while Ciri is still a white pasty chick, Eist looks like an accountant and not the great warrior ( altough i actually enjoyed their performances ) etc.

Is he alpha or beta? Likewise, a man could be not so bright but also be able to break most men in half, leading him to do jobs that many can't perform. Is he alpha or beta. There is a good case for someone who can balance both being strong and intelligent, but that also has more to do with genetics, which is rarer than you'd imagine because let's be honest, how many Christian Grey figures do you know?

 

There are too many variables in humans for these alpha/beta things to ever make sense.

You know, it'd be better for both of us if you tag me in your posts towards me, otherwise i might not get to see your response. That said, i'm more aware of what you're talking about than you might realize. I wouldn't put this in too much detail out here, but for a while i've "been there, done that". Pick up artists are widely hated in the "manosphere" and for a good reason. It's one thing when someone shares their little "tricks" when picking up partners, it's another thing to market it as verifiable scientific data.

 

I'm sure i don't need to tell you how lucrative this business can be, they on purpose target men who are confused and misunderstand these things. Similar to the colored pills ideas, it's based very loosely on scientific ideas, but distorted and marketed to make profit out of insecurity.

This is what pick up artistry looks like when you look from the outside. One should keep the things they preach in mind, but never depend on them.
