The Kinsey scale has been around for a long time.

I had no idea that was a thing.

Half the time when you quote me I learn a new thing. Neat.

Ps, I like the profile pic! The intro to the second game has got to be my favorite classic videogame track

Which one? :O

Destiny

or Through the Lightning

These games had such good OSTs. I'm pretty partial to Destiny but it's not my favourite track in the game.

When it came to Megs dying I didn't care about Mega Man Legends 3 personally but I was pretty upset about this never getting a third after that secret ending. ; - ;

If you’re upset at generalization, don’t generalize. I don’t call every straight white male a Nazi, and it’s pretty damn obvious that most straight white males aren’t Nazis. Preferences are fine, opinions are fine. It’s only when someone says that a preference is wrong is there a problem. It’s called the Paradox of Intolerance, if intolerance isn’t met with resistance it signifies a regression in tolerance.

Meh.

Oh lol, I thought you meant of the ZX games. xD

Yeah that's a pretty classic banger right there, MegaMan is one of those franchises were if nothing else the music was usually on point.

Very few people are exclusively straight, bi or gay. As mentioned before, the Kinsey scale exists. Men who like futa are probably somewhere between 1 and 2 on the scale, because they're obviously not exclusively straight, but not bi unless they also like male bodies equally. So they're mostly straight but find some male characteristics arousing, it's the same with femboys, males who are so feminine in appearance and behavior they'll pass as female without identifiying as female themselves - many men who'd otherwise identify as straight struggle with being attracted to feminine looking dudes, hence the age old question 'are traps gay?'.

It should be noted, however, that sexuality exists on a spectrum but isn't a social construct. You like what you like, there isn't much society can do to change that. Even if homosexuality is outlawed, people are still homosexual despite the odds being stacked against them.

Gender is a new term (coined in the 1950's in regards to human sex and sexuality) and describes the expectations people have based on the sex of others. This exists on a spectrum and is a social construct as well. A small cowardly man is biologically as much as a man as the big heroic Chad, yet people would call the latter a 'real man' and the former 'not a real man'.

Sex isn't binary and not a social construct. You either are male, female or intersex, whereas intersex is an umbrella term for a few different conditions. You can't be slightly more female than male or have a bit of intersex mixed in, it's entirely biological and fixed. However, we as a society usually don't use these categories, we generally use the expectations associated with a sex, i.e. gender.

It's important to keep these things in mind because there are people around who'd like to abolish biology because it's 'harmful' but there's also a lot of people around who misuse biology as a means to 'how things should be'. Trust me, you don't want to use nature as a guideline for how things should be, that shit is nasty.

So they cannot possibly be "gay". I was corrected once already by mistakenly making the trans connection as well.

whomever corrected on a made up definition, made it up. The original pre-katagawa definition is "of two halves, of dual types" aka literally TWO distinct parts intersected. The word doesn't exist without it, aka 100% girl with an accidental 9inch raging hardon is not a thing, no matter how profusely you sweat and yell at the top of your lungs that about that time you gnarfled the garthok there was no gay involved. Whether that's totally your fetish or not or far you wanna push the detail meta is a completely separate subject.

If boobs make you sadface, that doesn't magically remove context.

I thought that Futanari translated to something closer to New Half.

The Klein Grid takes into account behavior (including instances of who being attraction to whom and when one was attracted to whomever) and variability of preference at any given time to try to make things for each individual a bit more precise than just using the Kinsey Scale alone.

New Half is a transitive variation that's culturally more on the mark as most mangaka and creators use it, ergo Poison before Capcom America chopped her junk off out of trying to save the childrens from exploring Japan's tendency to not give a fuck about sexual hang ups in their commercial products, fun fact; Abigail was supposed to be the opposite of Poison.

Didn't know about that one. How popular is it in scientific studies? I do believe the Kinsey scale was used pretty heavily. I guess measuring human sexuality can be quite tricky if you take everything into account, heterosexual people will also have sex with the same sex if the opposite sex isn't available. 'Prison gay' is the term for that, I think.

I thought it was backwards, Poison was female in Jipjap and Capcom America somehow thought it'd be more tasteful if you beat up a trans criminal than a woman. From what I can see even the character's designer is inconsistent with what her original intent was, and more recently he's said "it's up to the player" meaning Capcom was all "ay nigga shut up, if we confirm anything we lose money." Now she's post-op in the US and pre-op in Japan I guess. Not that it matters, Astolfo's trans too regardless of even his own words because he called himself a virgin once.

Poison has always had a born-with snausage in Japan, still does. Even Wikipedia was wrong last time I checked; relying on nonjapanese folks for cultural in-joke/paradigm that's been a story element/thing since the 1600s versus people unwilling to admit they're both country and rock n roll in their preferences (or the opposite) is kinda dumb.

Poison's a guy with ballistic crash protection, and Roxy's a girl with a curiously husky voice, even in the original arcade game, and in the home country that never changed. Capcom America obviously had issue with whom you could lay hands or pipe on (figuratively or otherwise).

I heard a lot of versions of this but since it's background fluff it doesn't matter.

While on the topic they ruined her design in SFV with that garbage pink banana hair.

I like the outfit because it's all neat and asymmetrical but the hair is gross.

Edit to avoid doubleposting:

People who argue that Pokemon or Pony porn isn't bestiality because they're sentient.

They're animals, sentient or not, consenting or not, you're dicking an animal stfu. :L

Instruction manuals for household items that only have badly presented semi-isometric not-to-scale pictures without any words so I have to make an uneducated guess and thus I often break/damage/scratch the item. On top of that, misleading or completely wrong labeling annoys me greatly.

Fragile packages arriving with dents on the packaging, although the insides are usually intact.

Also, manuals for hardware and house appliances, printers, routers, etc. that are only available on the manufacturer's website that must be downloaded and printed out in 200% zoom to read with a magnifying lens, only to see that the problem I'm facing has not been addressed.

All that assuming the product is still listed or can be found in some archive.

Oh my God dude.

I just moved and I just had to assemble some new furniture we bought and it's all hieroglyphs with no instructions it's basically silent manga.

I hate it. There's literally no words except reminding me that if I break something I may be eligible for a refund or replacement if I bought insurance.

Don't 'even get me started on their "insurance" ... ?
Insurance this, insurance that.. before it was "warranty" or "service" now it is Insurance.. what they should call it is bullshit.  Now they seem to be doing this with product that they setup to fail or h ave problems.

YUP! The way they package them too!

It's like they're meant to fucking BREAK as soon as you unpack them or start trying to open the bags, which come in boxes, which come in OTHER boxes.

I find that ironically it's furniture or other more mechanical stuff that's like this, whereas when you buy tech online it seems to be packaged a lot more carefully, you'd think that would be more set up to fail but nope. This nice desk? OOPS! That leg was a little bit too close to the corner boohooo. Call us within business hours and some arbitrary day in the week when we won't respond and we'll get you a replacement in 30 days when your insurance is up! Fucking idiot HAHAHAH~

I'd like to take Danni, the soon to be college grad, and give her a good spanking for constantly shilling grammarly in every. Fucking. YOUTUBE. VIDEO.

I am glad that they are making enough to advertise. I am happy for their success. I already have grammarly, FUCK OFF.

Well, see, that's just it.  It's not about friends, family, and getting to spend time with people you don't see much during the year anymore (you know, the REAL 'holiday spirit').  It's long been about the almighty $, and the death of the brick and mortar store won't change that a bit.

Speaking of holidays. how about all those who don't get to see their families/friends because they're at work.  Whether right down the road, or half a world a way, there's a whole sector of society that "normal" society doesn't even think about.  Sure, the military often gets a special mention; they almost always do.  But what about the service industries; the people who we automatically expect to be there, and do the stuff for us that we won't/can't do for ourselves, get us and our crap from point A to point B, and keep the whole bloody system going while the normies are taking a break?

It should be a national law that any person (or store) putting up Christmas decorations or playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving is locked in a room for 1 week with the song Sleigh Ride played on endless loop the entire time.

I had to play that damn song in band every Christmas  from middle school through high school.  Every.  Fucking.  Christmas.  I then went to Uni and thought it was behind me.  Then I switched majors to Music and what's the first damn song the director pulled out that Christmas?  Yep, that piece of shit song.  I still can't stand that damn song 25+ years later.  And then to hear it in October?????   AAAARRRRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't every holiday just a thinly veiled marketing campaign?

I can't think of a single one that isn't "HEY BUY SOME SHIT FOR REASONS!"

It's only fair that karma for chopping up people in the name of your made up deity be overridden by buy out stuff on this [absolutely nondenominational nonspecific day] since that's what happened in the first place, most of which used to be solstice or fertility rite days.
