Deviously Cursed Loot LE 9.0 (2021-03-09)

Hi,

 

I've just finished setting up a clean install to use DCL and several other Devious mods, and started a game using the LAL princess slave start. Everything was going fine until I got free in Helgen and entered the keep, but the Chloe quest is now giving me serious problems. Either when it starts, or shortly afterwards (often when I open a menu) the game either CTD or hangs, and if I've made a save in Helgen Keep it sometimes won't load it. I followed the instructions on the Sanguine Debauchery github for the order to install and activate mods, and things seemed to be working okay before. Any ideas? Managing my mods with Vortex, and I'm copying the load order-sorted list from the plugin page below, and for reference Vortex ran FNIS before each deployment, and I ran BodySlide before starting:

@plgc It is possible that you have all the mods already correctly, but you haven't done enough to make Skyrim itself stable. Read guides about memory settings, ENBoost and the usual. There are even some mods for stability, such as the LoadGameCTDFix.

Ok so my PC was fucking a Whiterun guard, the animation was going great initially, then in the middle of the animation, Skyrim CTDs. Is there a solution to

@TimelordGale Try sorting your load order with LOOT. What i can see wrong is:

- DD mods are not in order of Assets, Integration, Expansion.

- LAL is in the middle.

- You have unmanaged mods (installed in Steam folder).

- Do you have Skyrim Utility Mod and ZAP required by DD-Equip? (Notice that DD-Equip is not part of DD main package, it is completely extra and made by different modder.)

Thanks! I followed the stability guide on Nexus and installed ENBoost, that appeared to help enough that it at least didn't crap out after 30 seconds - hopefully it'll run fine now :) Sorry if that's an obvious thing to do, my first time running a mod-heavy setup.

Yes, I have a video of my modlist, it shows Skyrim Utility Mod and ZAP (Assuming you're talking about ZaZ animation Pack)

Been having some problems with DCL combat defeat for a long time now.

 

1) if defeated, quite often I get a message box saying I've been traded to such and such a hold for my outstanding bounty.

But nothing happens afterwards. Instead the attackers wander off as if bored. I'm not ported to that hold's prison, or Dragonar, or anything like that.

I have hardcore combat outcomes ticked.

 

 

2) If the complex surrender mechanics percentage is set to anything other than 0.0, it's mostly unusable:

 the PC seems to drop weapons every single fight

 the PC is defeated by a single blow from behind with alarming frequency

 

Even low percentages result in high frequencies of bad outcome that you can't really control or do much about, especially the weapon dropping.

Once you drop your weapons you surrender. And you drop your weapons due to power attacks EVEN IF you are blocking with a shield. My character is lvl 44 right now, with 79 skill in block, and yet apparently this is no use at all. How bad is it if you're level 5 with 25 skill? (My guess is it's exactly the same).

 

I feel the slider control for these is set up wrong somehow, and some checks may be missing, or in the wrong place.

If I set to 5%, then an unblocked power attack should have a 5% chance to stun, or drop weapons or whatever. It definitely doesn't feel like that.

 

Hits from behind and weapon dropping really need their own toggles or chances to have an effect; it's all or nothing right now.

If I set to 0.0, the silliness stops.

 

There also seems to be lack of consideration given to followers, so a blow from behind, or disarm, may result in surrender, even if your follower can easily win the fight solo.

 

At the very least the slider wants a range and precision change, with a lower limit, and 0.01% increments. It doesn't work intuitively.

 

 

For context, I don't have PoP installed, and my LO is quite carefully merged; I don't see DCL beset by any weird overwrites.

 

 

Personally, I think the unarmed surrender shouldn't fire at all just because you are unarmed, it should need additional conditions, such as heavy bondage keyword, or boots, but only if boots make helpless. Being disarmed is its own penalty in a fight - you can't block or attack until it clears - so making it an instant defeat seems unnecessary, especially if you have a follower who is still fine. It's most useful to deal with those "helpless" scenarios, where attackers should be easily able to capture you without much of a struggle.

So in relation to my last topic, I found out that my game just crashes randomly. I was playing for a solid 20 minutes before I tried to loot a Frostbite Spider. I logged into the game again and tried to talk to Ralof in Helgen Keep - the game crashes 1 minute in. Where can I go to get solutions for these random crashes?

 

EDIT: I'm noticing a trend with the crashes - At the end of the Papyrus logs, the random CTDs keep happening whenever NPCs get "schlongified" when looking at my character.

You can also search for guides all around Internet. Fighting CTD's is never easy and it's nearly never caused by any single mod. Add too many "cards" in a pile and it just falls down - that's Skyrim.

reloading everytime im on a crimespree and get caught ruins the immersion a little bit as it defeats the purpose with being a thief

To payoff your bounty you can open the console, mark a guard and type paycrime gold 0,0

This will use your gold to pay all the bounty but will not port you to jail or strip you of your stolen goods. If you type paycrimegold 0 your gold is still gone, but your stolen goods, too.

Only the gold in your pocket will be used. If your store some of it at another place it will not be touched but still the bounty is payed. The amount of gold is limited to your bounty. If you have a bounty of 2000 and have 5000 in your pocket 3000 are left.

no idea, because I don´t know what you are refering to.

Cursed Loot overrides the guard dialogs i think, so no other mods outcomes work. S_l_u_t_s thread has some patch in last page or 2 of the comments section but it never did anything for me at least. The only way you can start a pony cart ride is by talking to carriage driver and that's ok i guess if you need that extra money. If the reward feels too low, you can up it in MCM.

Do you have HDT physics extensions? Inns are where Bound Girls end up, some of them can be equipped with HDT chains, and without this mod it's a known CTD cause.

I found that if I attacked a guard, after the arrest, and the "Do it" line, combat would restart, and I wouldn't go to Dragonar.

 

When I ticked Use vanilla prisons, I was arrested correctly.

 

 

I guess this means that previously, it was trying to start Dragonar and failing.

My Dragonar has worked in the past, so it seems my DCL game-state is damaged somehow.

Probably an unset alias?

 

Is there a way to reset all of DCL, or at least the pertinent crime bits, and maybe re-populate broken aliases?

Maybe I should uninstall it and save clean, and re-add it?

 

Maybe there is a quest I can try resetting?

 

If anyone has solved something like this with Dragonar before ... please speak up

So I’m having a bit of trouble with the supply and demand quest. I talked to vekel. I’ve served about half the boss chests in the game with no luck. Is there something else I’m supposed to be doing or is there simply a way to skip this step.

It may look obvious but is there a chance you are skipping through the conversation rather than let it end normally? Maybe let the "do it" linger longer until you are sent to prison and then you won't be attacked?

Using the patch didnt do anything but i got some help from another post to disable the DCL dialogue, the downside is that the DCL prison and all its outcomes gets disabled completly too

instead of going to jail or pay off abounty with sluts you can go into rehab and work of your bounty, it gets converted to debt you owe sluts
