Deviously Cursed Loot LE 9.0 (2021-03-09)

i am still getting the device error, running DCL6.1, DDA3.0e, DDx2.0c, DDi 3.3b, HR 1.51, ZAP 6.11 and ZEP 1.08, and CD 4.08 and ZAZ resources 1.1a.

I also have angrim apprentice 2.11, devious cidhna 1.8, sexlab dialogues 28, SL amorous adventures 3.04, SL stories 082, SL stories devious 082a, dibella sisterhood 132 (and sisters 132), and SL solutions 5.05 installed.

i have played the game for many hours with DCL 5.8 with no problems with the rest of these mods . it is only when i install DCL 6.1 and do the slave princess quest start that i get the device error, and wonder if there are items in DCL 6.1 causing the conflict. I have attached a pic of my character in slaver hideout with the error popping up. If I play DCL6.1 and do another start (ie camping near helgen) i can play for hours without the error.

Lots of people have complained about that error, but not a single person getting this error has posted a log yet. So I don't think anyone has any idea of why the error occurs yet.

ok so i turned on logging in both skyrim.ini and in DCL. Then i played until the devious devices error appeared, took screenshot and then saved the game and uploaded the papyrus log and snapshot of event that occurred at the time. it took about 5 or 6 clicks on the error on screen for it to disappear before i could save game. There are a heap of zadlibs.psc and DCL errors at bottom of log and also looking at the log i wonder if boundgirls is the issue, as it seems to be having trouble processing them.

hope that helps for Kimy or someone else that understands the logs to be able to resolve this issue once and for all, thank you

PS i am going to change number of boundgirls to 0 and see if i get the error at all

ok did a fresh start and have finished the princess quest and arrived at helgen without any devious errors on screen, and with bound girls set to 0 in game. uploaded new papyrus log so that Kimy or other gurus can see what the difference is in the logs, maybe figure this out for us all :)

That sounds like this error which happens when upgrading DCL on an old save http://www.loverslab.com/topic/33986-deviously-cursed-loot-61-2017-03-08/page-574?do=findComment&comment=1739505

  No advise on the Error, but I too, have seen this error. I wish i knew why.

One thing I do know is I Personally have only seen it if I am running DCL. I have not seen it with any other DD mods...Yet!

to prove it i did fresh install all the mods above except DCL, ran game no errors. installed DCL6.1, did the alternate start "slave princess" that is part of DCL6.1 and got the error pretty much straight away. i then went back to save in abandoned prison, changed DCL bound girls to 0, redid the "slave princess" quest to point of reaching helgen with 0 errors on screen. I have since played for about 3 hours running around skyrim and had 0 errors appear on screen. I run a modlist of 218 mods including the devious ones. i have a game build that has 140 mods without any sex mods which runs stable(played for hundreds of hours with 0 crashes), and the one with 218 mods runs stable. i try to minimise script heavy mods ie milk mod economy and prison overhaul and SD+ are not installed for that reason.

thats why i uploaded the two papyrus logs, one with bound girls active in mod and one without any active. i hope someone understands the code errors and can fix it. i always test new or updated mods on a fresh game start before adding to my main game build.

Did you save and load in the abandoned prison before the first run as well?

Did you save and load in the abandoned prison before the first run as well?

yep, been doing this a long time with skyrim, always do my mcm config then save, reload and let estrus chaurus run, let the scripts complete and resave/load with updated MCM, then choose my start. that way if i want to play with different starts from that save point i can do it. i also use enboost and crash fixes which help with stability.

i go through all the mods in tes5edit, fixed errors and run my own modified load order in loot and my game is very stable. I have been playing role-playing games for 35 years starting with the original ZORK on apple 2+ in 1982. Skyrim has been my favourite last 6 years, and while i dont create mods, i will try to fault find when errors occur. :)

I regularly find issues in tes5edit as some authors do not check that their mods are usleep compatible.  one example is sexlab kidnapped where i have had to correct alot of the cell and worldspace edits due to the author not updating it for usleep compatibility but leaving them with original skyrim settings. Kimy on the other hand does update everything properly :)

I also have this issue with the bound girls (probably?) causing a DD error. Here is what i hope is a relevant section of my log/

-Waited, possible giving things time to initialize, before talking to the first slaver in the new princess starting option

That's the most important thing, and something people often underestimate. Generally, when starting a new game, I'd recommend waiting at least a minute before doing anything, so mods have time to run their init scripts. That's not a DCL specific problem, that's a general advice for running modded Skyrim.

If using LAL (which most players do these days), let all the notifications scroll though, save the same, reload the game, fire up all mods that need manually initialization, take your time to adjust all MCM settings to your liking, save/reload again, and only then talk to Mara.

I agree, I've always done this going as far as starting a new game, waiting for things to initialize, saving, loading and then saving and loading again before mara.  What I was trying to say is that I think there is some initialization error after you click the statue of mara and begin the princess quest. I did another new game after posting that (because I found a really cool high heels mod I wanted to install, High Heel Sounds or something like that.  Btw, the older save ran for 10 hours with no errors) and on this new game the error was back.  I've read some people setting bound girls to 0 in order to fix it but what I did was simply go back to my last save before the mara statue (note this is the 3rd save after I've given time for everything else to initialize prior mara) and started the princess quest again.  5ish hours into my new save game and no sign of the error.  Sorry I haventy been able to post a papyrus log yet, I normally play with papyrus disabled as it slows my game down slightly and every time I've enabled logging, I've also changed something and the problem seemed to go away.

Please tell me you are kidding when you ask that question.

If you aren't, here's the answer:   LOOT

Use it, then start a new game.  Discard your present game if you've never used LOOT on it before;  it *almost* certainly (well, ignore the *almost*) will be thereafter unusable.  Actually, it will be end up being unusable anyway.

You are also well advised to create both a TES5Edit Merged Patch and a Bashed Patch, the latter created with WryeBash, before you start your new game.  Search GamerPoets and Gopher on YouTube for excellent videos on the use of LOOT, TES5Edit, and WryeBash.

Use a modded game without those tools at your own risk, understanding that ultimately without them failure is inevitable.

Heyy aren't we confusing between load order and install order now?

But thx, I will check out that patch stuff.

I can not speak for NMM but on MO it does not matter.  All the things Rynnes Master did mention are a must, i would add Crash Fixes.

Order of installation does not matter as such, but the same thing must be managed through resource priorities in left panel manually. Same resources still need to win conflicts in MO left panel, as they would in NMM installation order.

Just clarifying this, so that no one gets confused. smile.png

The bound girls may be a source for the DD error some players have been reporting. I added some safeguards to the code to rule that out. Let's see if that was all, or if there is more to it. :)

Hi Kimy,

Here's another log for the potential bound girls DD issue in case it is still of any help. I can confirm what the others have reported and that it only appeared with version 6, back with the last 5.x that didn't happen.

The attached log is from pretty soon after game start so at the point when I suppose all of the initial bound girls were being spawned (using DCur 6 and the LAL add-on). Sorry about the old date of the log, but the issue persists in version 6.1.

The issue pops up again later after freeing/robbing/leaving one of the already spawned bound girls. When the next one gets spawned after changing cells, the error message pops up again.

I have a new suggestion.

Could you add traps/keys to books/skillbooks? (Only to books that the player can read, but not spellbooks)

Sometimes there are keys inside them, sometimes they're trapped with spells that equip the reader with devious devices. The only way to find out is to read'em.

Thanks.

Edit: (If possible it would be best to trigger it on closing the book menu, in order to simulate reading or paging through the book)

While doing another Leon/Leah play-trough I found some oddity in the disposition change. I've set the disposition change from the default 1 to 3, which according to the MCM help should be a multiplier.

But while wondering why it changed so slowly, I think there might be a operator/math error in the code.

The daily disposition is now calculated as follows:

dcur_leonslavery_disposition.SetValueInt(dcur_leonslavery_disposition.GetValueInt() + dcumenu.LeonDispostionChange + bonus)

So it just adds the (in my case 3) instead of multiplying the daily awarded disposition 3 times before adding it to the total.

Same goes for the negative calculation, that is just minus not divided.

dcur_leonslavery_disposition.SetValueInt(dcur_leonslavery_disposition.GetValueInt() - dcumenu.LeonDispostionChange - bonus)

I think it should be

New_total_disposition = old_total_disposition + (daily_disposition * mcm_disposition_multiplier) + bonus

and

New_total_disposition = old_total_disposition - (daily_disposition * mcm_disposition_multiplier) - bonus

Or I could be horribly mistaken :P

Also a hardcore follower MCM option which triggers the Sasha hardcore mode and won't allow ending the Leon/Leah quest until you reached the 'I like you enough' level would also be neat :)

Hi, where can I get this  Ultra hot tight stuff??? (part of DCL6 ?)...

Thx for answers:-))

PS. Keep eyes on zaz

I finally had the free time to run though the Princess LAL start with 6.1.  More random thoughts, with a few pictures this time!-

attachicon.gif001.jpg

Not sure how I am able to unstrap that armor from him. It is possible to mark npc gear as non-lootable isn't it?

I like how Telrav, sitting over there to the side, thinks I look like I can protect him from bandits.

attachicon.gif02.jpg

After first zoning into the slaver's lair, it looks like a very strange fashion show!

Typo, I think, in the note on the slaver, "I don't want your stupid crew (to) get the wrong ideas when they handle her."

I was still able to struggle out of the armbinder even though that was on the fix list for 6.1.

Two copies of the Slaver Gang Ledger in the chest, doesn't break anything, but a bit odd.

attachicon.gif03.jpg

Dropping us in front of Brynjolf, then having him talk about being able to tell the kind of person we are by how we walk and what we wear...

Already mentioned by others but had a guard remove my gag because he couldn't understand me, and a quest pointer in Whiterun for the find the safe house in Riften quest stage.

attachicon.gif04.jpg

The look she gives me as I wiggle my way to the slaver's Riften safe house.

Kinda odd that there is no physical note item on Little, when the previous quest note was a real item?

And as I mentioned last time, The restraint key was good (as much fun as it is, the hobble dress was wearing out its' welcome), but I do hope there will someday be a follow up quest where we have to get into the dead guy's playroom for the chastity key.

  That would be Pincopallinos work, he made just for DDI or rather DDX.it has no body in it or rather is a body re-placer, this is how he manages to keep it fitting so closely with no leakage, or clipping.

    unlike the zip suit which raps the body, and does not replace it, the zip suit is with credit usable by any one, and found on nexus,  I think the person was very talented that produced the zip suit ( Transparent body suit ).

?? i think i know the zip-suit...that seems to be something different...

And as I mentioned last time, The restraint key was good (as much fun as it is, the hobble dress was wearing out its' welcome), but I do hope there will someday be a follow up quest where we have to get into the dead guy's playroom for the chastity key.

  That would be Pincopallinos work, he made just for DDI or rather DDX.it has no body in it or rather is a body re-placer, this is how he manages to keep it fitting so closely with no leakage, or clipping.

    unlike the zip suit which raps the body, and does not replace it, the zip suit is with credit usable by any one, and found on nexus,  I think the person was very talented that produced the zip suit ( Transparent body suit ).

pfiiiffff !!!!

Hi, where can I get this  Ultra hot tight stuff??? (part of DCL6 ?)...

Thx for answers:-))

PS. Keep eyes on zaz

The hobble skirt in these screenshot was made by Pincopallino. It's a DDX item. I am not sure if any mod but DCL is using it for a quest right now, but DD Equip added it to its drop list with its latest patch, too.

ZaZ? I haven't seen him around in more than a year. I dunno if ZAP will ever get updated again.

Hi kimy

thx for that, it´s a nice device for future....I´ll keep that in mind...I am editing the zaz animation pack and I bet, lot of people will get also lot of fun playing with some OLD and lot of new furnitures....if I could code a little, I´d also extend some "clothing" like that hobble skirt....this needs naturally also movement restrictions if done well...anyway - there are now 112 furnitures inside of zap -pack and I hope that we can soon have a release. And I hope that the beautiful mods like yours and also lot of others will use the new stuff.

I was asking for the zaz/xaz -team but for 4 weeks I got no answer...anyway I really think that xchris and others would be proud of watching the new stuff and the new possibilities to play with.

Let me some days only....I stuck on nonsense as usually and I deleted a vanilla item during my work - but I have read today about to be able to reverse that also by using the CK itself....

All the mods will be able to use the pack as before and mods, who like to use the new stuff can do this...no limitations and no problems will accure.

Would be cool to see DCL later with new furniture use !!!

PS::::::

If you know somebody who can exactly tell me how to move and turn collision-objects inside of nifscope, this would help me a lot;-)))

Thanks for reading!
