Slorm Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Hi Kimy, Just a question about DCUR's integration with EC+ and Estrus for Skyrim. Long story short, my understanding is that Estrus for Skyrim (EFS) uses actor events and can cause serious issues for one's savegame. As such, I am dead keen on avoiding any activation of EFS' events and scripts. But I would like DCUR to use EC+ for its traps. This is slightly incorrect Chipstick, Actor Events was used to enable the early versions of Estrus Chaurus to function but is no longer needed for EC+. Regarding the Estrus for Skyrim mod itself, it is heavily bugged and will in time cause a lot of problems, so best avoided as you've correctly surmised already. The version I use has the esp and the scripts folder removed and EC+ runs fine when invoked from DCL.

ForestElf Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I don't know if it was mentioned before, i noticed the following: 1) I have all steal options disabled, yet while with heavy yoke and asking someone to use a key to unlock, instead he stole all the heavy yoke keys. 2) I got the "courier" quest to trigger. From Solstheim i was supposed to go to Malkrath. I don't know if it's even possible without fast travel... So i ask someone else for help and... bondage adventure triggers! But it starts at the same stop, next to the quest giver. So i talk and say "i am back". Quest giver unlocks the heavy yoke, but instead leaves on a corset and an armbinder... I ask again for help and now bondage adventure triggers properly and i was sent to wilderness near Malkrarth actually. But now i have 2 active quests. One for the courier and one for the bondage adventure. If i go to Malkrath, the yoke that was supposed to be removed there, was already removed! Will he remove the armbinder and corset? I don't know...

unmog Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Hey Kimmy [and anyone else who might know] that kind of sounds similar to my problem, sorta. Let me explain. Since I reinstalled everything Ive had a problem CTDing when loading too. But only after Ive already loaded my game and played a bit, entered a new area to load up, etc, saved, and tried to load again. So after the CTD I restart Skyrim and try to load again and its fine. So the CTD is only when I load up when Im already playing the game, specifically. This didnt happen before, and it is really a mild problem since the only problem comes when I want to load up again after Ive been playing some and I have to wait to load the game up again which isnt "that" long. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it or what could fix it? If someone asks me to I can post a log, its easy to replicate. Im unsure if its something specifically with DCL or some other combination of mods etc, but when Im in game its very stable and never crashes... unless I decide to load a game. Quickload or normal doesnt matter, still a CTD. I was having a similar problem after a recent re-install to switch over to MO. Once in-game, any attempt to reload another save would always CTD. I did finally fix the problem with a papyrusutil update to 3.0B4. There are a couple of threads around here somewhere with the same problem and resolution. I went on a character that i made ages ago and hadn't touched in a LONG while. And it worked. It seems like it might be scripts leftover from old mods or previous versions of current mods that caused the issue. She had barely been used, so on her, they worked. Not sure exactly why though. i have newer characters that hae been through less. Might be a relatively recent update/removal.

dogos Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 hi...i just wanted to mention something that i encountered while wearing the rubberdoll outfit...i asked for help with the removal of my restraints because of a chastity belt and it striped the "doll suit" along with the belt but not any of the other doll items (collar gloves shoes)... suit was still in my inventory and i could equip it again so no harm done...but i'm not sure if it is intended that any of the "rubber doll" items can be removed by this dialogue so i just wanted to tell you
stobor Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I've noticed a couple of times that once a solicitation puts restraints on the character, even if they're removed afterwards, all subsequent solicitations have the 'let me unlock you' line. Whether bound or not.

My character got just stuck to her bedroom in Sleeping Giant Inn, thanks for me ignoring her grown arousal. She got caght by a 5 men in the inn. They all circled her in a thight space and kept screaming "I submit", "No more, I yild, I yild", "Aaaarg!" and other things. I know that you are aware of the problem and I do understand why you set them to "flee" from the area of act, but going trough each of them, while listening 4 of them screaming help next to my character is not too... immersive. Could you set them to walk away, instead of "fleeing" the area? that reminds me. can the pc's voice when surrendering be disabled? the constant i yield and no more feel very out of character. I will eventually rewrite that, yes. Nothing seems to happen after I search containers it says loading container (number) and initializing but I get no devices equipped on me. I searched about 5 barrels and nothing happened. It's possible you're simply not aroused enough. By default the minimum arousal is 20, though you can set it all the way to 0. Tried that and still nothing happens. Doesn't even say there is no cursed loot here. It just says loading container then nothing happens at all. The last version of this worked fine. 4.9 added cooldown (set to 1 hour). Did you trigger a trap at least once before? In that case you either have to wait until the 1 hour passes ingame or set the cooldown to 0. Still not working I am just going to go back to 4.8 this so annoying... Just to make sure - are you using 4.9a or 4.9? Because stuff not working at all was the very reason for the 4.9a update. 4.9 was completely borked. Hey--I love the new content, the quests/complicated predicaments in cursed loot are seriously entertaining. However, I was wondering if there are plans to flesh out the "dollmaker" character any more? It seems like there isn't much backstory to her, and her motivations for putting cursed rubber collars out there in the world. I want to know! Either she's truely committed in her belief that strangers being turned into a rubber doll is a gift to them--or she should seek to benefit from the situation in some way... like the player has to distribute rubber collars to random containers around skyrim to trap and create more dolls as her replacements, or help the dollmaker expand upon her business by collecting materials for more suits, or trying on experiments in exchange for a promise of eventual release... Or just a discount on her wares if the player happens to be totally on board. Just some ideas! The Dollmaker will indeed see additions over time. I've installed Estrus for Skyrim only because its resources are required for EC+. However I omitted the esp for EFS, to ensure it doesn't get activated. Even without the esp, DCUR still recognises and registers EFS, along with EC+. So... a series of related questions. Question 1: if I have EC+ installed and working, are there any conditions where DCUR may call upon events from EFS, instead of EC+? Question 2: In the events tab, there are 2 weight sliders for Estrus events: Estrus Traps and Estrus Plant Traps. The DCUR tooltip for Estrus Traps says EFS will be used only if EC+ is missing. Is that also true for Estrus Plant Events? I feel silly asking this second question, since the lack of tooltip detail for Estrus Plant Events presumably means it just inherits the properties of Estrus Traps. Still, I wanted to be sure I wasn't misunderstanding something, because no other event type in DCUR is weighted twice in the events tab. I mean, gas traps for example, only has one weight slider, which is presumably then applied to all applicable triggers. Only estrus events have 2 weight sliders. I'd like to clarify this Estrus Traps/Estrus Plant Traps separation, so I know it isn't some situation like say Estrus Traps governing EC+ events while Estrus Plant Traps governs EFS events. Question 3: According to the tooltips, Estrus Traps covers "special cursed loot events". What are "special" cursed loot events? Estrus Plant Traps seems more clear: it only governs harvesting. Sorry about the wall of text question. (Its a pity, I'd like to use all of EFS' different animations, some of which aren't covered by EC+. Depending how old that save was, a newer Cursed Loot will really break it. I think the newest version that can be safely upgraded to current 4.9a was 4.6 or 4.7, me thinks. ForestElf Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Ok, i finished both the courier and the bondage adventure quests. But i was stuck with some restraints (armbinder included). I had to use the "free me now" button, which removed everything except for a corset, which i had to use a key to remove.

They are not meant to run simultaneously, but I cannot see a reason why the item removal should fail in the end. Odd.

Yeah I went with that as well as I have a feeling skykids does similar things to rcots, can't say I like it much but better than vanilla. I will pester Glouf (or bribe him) to make a standalone npc replacer that leaves their child flags intact

unmog Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Well theres other instances of NPC followers you can have that dont get touched by cursed loot. One case being my kid I adopted and made into a follower with RS Children. Its good Cursed Loot doesnt touch her though really, leave that stuff to the adults. But Ive always felt so bad having to leave her at home in town all the time and only seeing her when I come back to stash loot I havent sold yet. >.> Now we can be a mommy + daughter + housecarl adventuring team and I can teach her how to survive in the world on her own when she gets older. To answer more specifically though, Im not sure exactly why but its probably something to do with a tag or keyword of certain npc followers.

unmog Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Im unsure of load order stuff since youd have to also go and find each of the mods you downloaded and read all the information, which I'm not going to do sorry. However its important to spend a little bit of time on each of the mods you downloaded and read what their incompatibilities and problems are so you dont run into these kinds of issues later on. Id suggest if you are having problems though, reinstall Skyrim from scratch, and start adding mods a couple at a time, and just make sure to make a note somewhere of their links and some personal notes of what they dont work with or what they say they should be loaded before and after. Thats what I try to do anyway, and I have over 200 mods in my load order and it works fine.

If it is of any help, i think that before getting the courier quest, i also had a "slave chastiy belt". After the courier items were added and after the bondage adventure. When i finally hit "free me", it was like a dozen of things flying all over the place.

But then again Im very careful going around naked in skyrim now, but I also have the patch too. If ya havent already, I set the timespeed in the game to be a lot slower, and thus I also set the cold rate in frostfall to like 0.1 to balance it out since ya wouldnt freeze to death in like 10 minutes.
