Same problem as the others, Cursed Loot now detects some child-altering mods, although I have no idea which that might be. I will take that inventation and post my log and loadorder though. ;)

At a glance I cannot see any mod that I would suspect triggering that code, but you're using a lot of mods I've never heard of before, so there is that. :D

Can you confirm that the lockout triggers even with a completely new game?

PS: I'd remove DD Restrained. That mod is -severely- outdated and can cause all sorts of issues.

 

Thanks for taking a look. Maybe when others post their modlists aswell a common denominator can be found. So long I'll try a bit of trial&error, maybe I'll find it out that way without getting mad. :) 

The error message appears even on a new game.

I've never had problems with DD-Restrained before, and I like it's handling of gag-talk better than with DD *wave around and use body language*-approach. ;) I'll keep it in might if I run into problems in the future though.

If you only want not horrid looking children, use "rustic children" by gamwich. It has no conflicts with other mods. Mind you, its no loli fantasy, just well done vanilla look. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63353/?

Kimy I tried started a new game, loading the current save I was using, and an even older one, and i've encountered a weird combo of issues. In new instances sexlab and devious devices load but I get locked out by the cursed loot system. In my current save I get cursed loot but not devious devices main things working so nothing actually works. In an old save all of them are working fine. The thing is these all use the exact same mods in the same version except cursed loot is now updated from 4.9. Tried reinstaling 4.9 to test and the result was cursed loot working but devious devices menu never turning on and devices never actually working. Not sure what I should do here....

I've been testing combat surrender a bit on a new save, since I am thinking of getting rid of Death Alternative. I disabled all death related mods for this save.

 

I am having few issues with it

Using hotkey does not seem to work - can't even see anything related to pressing the key in the log. (I tried rebinding it as well, no change)

 

I had trouble triggering the surrender, sometimes it took a while to register and only after my health reached 0 (threshold is set to 15%) and I regenerated a little bit, it managed to finally trigger. Re-registering sexlab and zaz animations seem to have fixed it, for now at least.

 

I tried attacking NPCs in towns and according to the log:

[DCUR] - Processing: Ange the Song-Bearer. Is NPC.

[DCUR] - Rejected: Ange the Song-Bearer for combat rape. Reason: Actor is friendly.

When the surrender triggered, it stopped combat and a as the log says became friendly even though I attacked them. After 4 or so attempts I got teleported into the wilderness and tied up. After freed myself from the ropes, armbinder changed from black to white.

 

It would be nice if being defeated by city guard or when they are involved trigger an arrest and hopefully prison overhaul would manage to take it from there.

 

It might be some different mod interfering with something, but after being defeated few times, some of the enemies became friendly, I was running around attacking all sorts of people, but after few hits they became friendly - even groups of bandits. Reloading earlier save fixed it.

 

Also I have a request - "[DCUR] - Rejected: Sabre Cat. Reason: Actor is animal." could we have an option for that? I have I have bunch of other mods that add plenty of animations for the creatures... How about this scenario - beaten by animals, sex scene triggers, then blackout, bandits show up "to rescue and reward with gifts". At the moment if there are only animals available, either nothing happens and character is fully healed (which feels a bit cheaty since it gives a lot more chances to kill the enemies) or teleports to an Inn.

 

I have not tried this with the latest version, but attacks triggered by high arousal in cities for example, cause player character to freeze in place and then wait for the NPCs to show up, who usually are quite far away (as in not in melee range). It would be great if it worked like Get Stripped! Again mod where the NPCs have to actually catch the player before the scene starts, and if player managed to evade them for a while, they should stop and short cooldown should trigger before they try again.

 

 

I'm really enjoying most of the other features, Thanks for you hard work!

 

I have not tried the new version with an old save game, so I can neither confirm nor deny that this might have something to do with the issue, but the scene is obviously meant to stop combat when the threshold is reached and do its thing from there. There is -no- possible outcome that wouldn't at least involve healing the character, so she can have another go at the group that defeated her (if you find that cheaty, disable it in MCM!).

 

Enabling bestiality would actually be easy, but...nah, I don't think I want to have to support that. *shudders*  In that case, the scene is supposed to return to combat, having the character pass out. Is that not what happens for you?

 

In the city, the way it's currently set up is that rapists are supposed to catch up with the character when possible, but there is a timeout that will make them port to you if they can't reach you in a given timeframe.

 

 

I tested the combat surrender out on both new and old saves, and while it works for the most part, on both saves I did run into instances where it would just stop triggering. Since the PC is set to essential, this basically means the player is completely invincible. I'm not sure how to get the surrenders to start working again once this happens. It also broke the button to surrender in both cases.

If you have SPERG installed, set unarmed combat to "Manual" in its MCM.

WoW! I switched from PerMa to sperg while updating to dcl 4.10, because i thought it has fewer problems. You amaze me with that knowledge. Also sorry for being so fast to attribute the error to dcl.

 

 

SPERG has waaaaaaaaaaaay less issues than PerMa. That one is one of the few I am aware of, actually.

"ERSO 09 - RUS-Npcs overhaul USKP compatible"

from the ERSO game overhaul mod.

 

And now I'm going to enjoy that new update. Feels well earned. :D

So what is it that is being blocked in the new version?  I used RCOTS but I stopped using it because it had the follower or making a child char yourself.  I switched to the original skykids and was not using the follower or player version.  But now even that is blocked?  Vanilla kids look horrid next to the SG versions of the adults.  Is there a child replacer that won't be blocked by this?  I do completely understand the block but I won't have any that are followers to get hit by the traps.  Or is this just a bug.

 

The code is looking for the results of problematic changes, not the mods itself. I cannot entirely predict which exact mods are affected other than Non Essential Children and RCOTS, but anything that makes child races playable or alters child characters in other ways than their looks or adds child followers to your group might trigger the code.

 

If you are sure that nothing of this applies to you at all, please post your log and your load order and I will have a look at it.

Also I noticed that self bondage event causes to drop all of already collected keys... and by dropping I mean that they disappear. I'm not sure if this is by design or maybe it is some incompatibility with other mods :(

The point of the madness is to prevent little kiddies from being tied up and summoning the pedobear. It just so happens that the changes that make children killable also allows them to be tied up, kinda sucks for people that use those mods, but for those that don't, there's a resounding "meh.".

Whelp, looks like I'm turning combat surrender off permanently. I've lost enough powerful equipment to that damned greedy floor that I feel nothing but a burning hatred for anything and anyone that makes it happen (real people excepted if they give us a way to turn it off). This usually leads to me trying to make NPCs die a million horrifying and embarrassing deaths, so to speak. I mean, seriously, being hit so hard that your gear literally falls off the face of the world may be funny the first time, but then you realize that you just spent an hour taking the MacGuffin to the Altar of Doom only to find it "lost forever" (yes, I know you can console code it back, but I'd rather nip the problem in the bud or as close to the bud as I can reasonably get, and that doesn't really work for forged and enchanted weapons anyway) due to bad level construction exacerbated by a seemingly innocuous gameplay feature.

Alright so I'm still having issues with the combat surrender triggering, so I started digging through my log files. It looks like the combat surrender function has some sort of cooldown that is causing it to abort. I didn't see any sort of cooldown settings in the MCM for the surrender, and simply waiting for several in game days did nothing to allow it to start triggering again.

Not really sure if this is your mod but I have a strange occurrence.  I am being followed by Hjornskar Head-Smasher. He followers me around doesn't attack me or talk but laughs and claps like and onlooker.  I can fast travel and he is not instantly there but after a few minutes he shows up.  I can't kill him since he is essential.  I would appreciate any ideas on getting rid of him.

Don't personally care kids in the game at all as they serve absolutely no function at all but breaking functionality of other mods 'just to make sure' sounds a bit too much like Ubisoft to me =)

 

Some mod already does make kids disappear whenever get near btw. Can't be arsed to check which one but occasionally I pay attention to disappearing kids :)

Any new items that should be added to the frostfall patch?

 

Something I've been curous about, SD+ has the chaurus worm thing but is sadly rather incomplete as it is only a proof of concept. I would love a more complete version of that, perhaps where instead of getting a random plug with a belt, a bandit could feindishly insert a worm which would require additional steps to remove. Perhaps it could be the start of a new cursed section, cursed swimming!

I am pretty sure I coded it the way that it will respect the "Don't drop gear" setting in MCM. It will simply unequip to inventory.

There might, yes. I still have no idea what items need FF support and which ones don't. But there are some new items that probably need it.

The mod keeps shutting down on me for some reason. I removed the killable lootable children for hearthfires mod and I am still running into these issues. How would I check if there are any other mods making the changes to children that are causing problems. I am going to missing killing braith and the other children of dragonsreach every time they pisses me off.

 

I think I may have found the problem. I will give it a shot.

/re 1: Yes and no. It will work half the time. Since Cursed Loot is rolling for all animations 4.0 provides, the scene will fail if one of the newer ones  is chosen.

 

Thanks Kimy, I suppose if I wanted to change the colour I'd need something like 3DMax or something, I assume it's not something that could be done in Photoshop or Paintshop Pro

 

 

Why couldn't you just modify the texture file associated with it?

It should work, unless you wanted to keep the original color when used by EC.

But judging from your comment you just plain don't like the bubblegum color correct?

In which case a simple texture edit would work.

I do not remember the link but there was a texture overhaul for EC that changed things from the Pink\fleshy\bubblegum look to the Black shiny Herma Mora look.

 

 

I've got alternate textures for tentacles and dwemer machines, so yes it's just those awful bubblegum pink textures.

 

I've dug into it a bit more and the textures look to be DDS files. I use Paint Shop Pro and it looks like it may be possible to use the NVidia Photoshop plugin with it. I'd be very loathe to buy Photoshop Elements to change them since Adobe gave away my login credentials to the first hacker that came along (with the rest of their customer base), so if I can get it working with PSP I'll see if I can make some changes to the textures without making a complete pigs ear of it.

 

I gather something called paint.net will also edit DDS files so I may have a look at that as well.

Paint.Net does indeed allow you to edit DDS files. Also it is actually very widely used. You sometimes just have to ignore the sniffy Photoshop crowds attitudes on such matters.

im having the exact same issue except I dont have any mods that do this installed, and its only with the latest patch and previous beta. All other versions work fine and randomly the new versions work. I can't figure out why its freaking out.

I think I found out that MFVM_ChildrenFight_Patch.esp is the cause for me. Needs further testing.

 

Yup, Looks like that was the problem as well as the obvious killable childrens mod. Tis a sad day when braith insults me and I cannot punch her face in.

you can still punch her in the face just it wont be lethal, also I still can't find anything so it looks like im forever stuck on the previous version, rip hopes and dreams unless theres an oversight in the code cause its very much random when it does and doesn't work, loading the same saves gives different results.

Bug report/data fuck-up on my account: after installing 4.10 the soliciation option is gone from the dialogue. Same was the case for 4.9 and 4.9a. After overwritting it with 4.8 it worked again. I have no idea what would cause this. Does someone know?

Bug report/data fuck-up on my account: after installing 4.10 the soliciation option is gone from the dialogue. Same was the case for 4.9 and 4.9a. After overwritting it with 4.8 it worked again. I have no idea what would cause this. Does someone know?

 

 

Unless I am reading the problem wrong it sounds like you are upgrading Cursed Loot without removing/cleaning the save of the old version first.  As far as I know the mod does not support upgrading versions without a clean mod uninstall, so I would try removing cursed loot and cleaning your save of the scripts, then installing 4.10.

Don't personally care kids in the game at all as they serve absolutely no function at all but breaking functionality of other mods 'just to make sure' sounds a bit too much like Ubisoft to me =)

 

Some mod already does make kids disappear whenever get near btw. Can't be arsed to check which one but occasionally I pay attention to disappearing kids :)

 

The disappearing kid thing is from More Devious Quests. Check the mood page in the MCM. That one drove me nuts for a while, especially because I was blaming it on Deviously Cursed Loot.

 

I'd just updated to the first version of DCL that was child-proofed, and it was only then noticed that kids weren't around. I just assumed that it was the child-proofing effect.

 

 Talk about going down a blind troubleshooting alley :)
