Guest Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Having an issue with Cursed loot not triggering after taking a follower (Cloe). Â I was able to pin point this by raising trigger chance to 100%, enabling debugging texts and lowering to 0 the time between traps. Â It works fine if I'm alone. Â It stops showing the "no trap" message if I have a follower but doesn't kick the trap. Â Tried to remove the follower support feature... to no avail... Â Also tried the "free me!" solution as suggested in another thread. Â Anyone else had this issue? Â Any solution or work-around? Â Thanks!

Is she an actual follower or are you on the quest to free Chloe? If any DCL quest is ongoing the traps won't fire. You can see it in DCL's MCM on debug tab, if it says "Quest Active: TRUE". If that is FALSE then traps can happen as normal. 1

Â I need to finish all the Chloe quest for traps to trigger again? Â (Not selecting the Quest doesn't help). Â Â

Yes basically if you start a quest from DCL you need to finish it as highest priority. No traps will trigger and npc's won't deceive you as all that could break the quest. But the main quest "Bound in Skyrim" does not count, it is just there to track your overall progress.  After you leave Chloe to Dollmaker and finish with the ropes quest in Markath i think you can play normally again. It's fine doing a couple times but i usually avoid Chloe in further playthroughs 😉 With alternate start you can do dragon quest without even stepping inside Helgen keep or the cave. 1

Although he's in the game, as I can select him in the simple slavery MCM options, and he can buy me, but I can't seem to do the questline, and that's what I am looking for, do you guys have any ideas pretty please?

If your game isn't totally messed up, he's in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun, an never leaves.

tonitrulupus Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 (edited) Is there a way you can add in another mod that has devious devices so that cursed loot will pick it up and apply them as well if a "trap" is triggered?  They now have a SE version of I would love to have those added in to the traps as well but not sure how to go about doing it, so it would be added into the pool of choices. and they looks pretty good. I have some mods that help escaping DDs, but none tackles quest items with special keys. Sometimes, when you have the right keys in your backpack, talking to any NPC triggers a help scenario, and that person will at least unlock the plug. Â If you cannot unlock the plug first and then the gag yourself, something seems wrong. In that case I'd refer to the standard DD debug escape method: put anything you can an a container, open the console and type player.inv ,find the slavegag, find the lock with the ID +/-1 off, type "removeitem ID 1" first for the lock, then for the gag. Grab your stuff, run.

Had the keys for the gag, but every time I went to unlock it said I had to unlock the panel first. This time I had played for an hour or so, and now one would offer, and the Locksmith in Riverside said she couldn't do it. Meh. I may have rage set them to 0 weight at this time. >.>

I may have rage set them to 0 weight at this time. >.> When you open inventory and click the Slave gag there is some kind of option for "Remove plug". It will show if you have a "Head restraint key". No NPC will ever be able to help you with DCL's special devices like this. Only blacksmiths however can open High Security devices for a fee. Edited August 26, 2024 by Zaflis 1

Â I helped her after using a LAL Alternate Start and going to Helgen, but now that her quest has started, fast travel is disabled, even if I tell her to part ways. That's a bit annoying, as it seems that if I want to be able to fast travel, I'm going to have to go through the whole loop of quests (Nazeem + Dollmaker), including that iiiinnnncccrrreeeddddiiibbblllyyy lllloooooonnnnngggggg part where some loot "might appear" in bandit chests but you have to go there in a hobble dress and it's not 100%.

What I did the only time I played that annoying quest arch, was to use the console "enablefasttravel 1" - but that's only temporary, you need to reuse that command every time you changed a cell or actually travelled. Uhm, yes, and for being stuck in a hobble dress, there's "player.setav speedmult 500" and if you get dizzy watching all those tiny steps, draw a weapon. Just reset that to 100 once you're able to walk normal again - 500 is way too fast.

You can algo use "coc" command. Â It will teleport you to a certain cell. Â Just write "coc <ID>" in the console. Honestly for the bit in the thieve’s guild, I just spawn the kit in my inventory using console commands. It’s way too long to true and wander about for it when all I want is to progress the main story.
