I suppose that I always do something wrong, but I have not at all the dialogue option "Are you sure we can't come to an arrangement?" when I'm emprisonned at the cidna mine.

Is there a specific condition for the dialog to appear ?

are you in the mine because of the cidhna questline, or did you just get arrested for a general crime? this only works as part of the quest.

Hi can't anyone help me, i'm stuck.

After helping the forsworn escape (everything was working smooth) i can't leave markath nor fast travel withouth having and infinite loading screen.

I tried terminating the scripts in the save but had no luck. This is my papyrus log. Thanks.

Now that you mention it, it happened to me too.

 

In the past, on my previous PC it worked fine. but with the new PC and fresh install I had this issue. I didn't blame devious chidna but it could be.(I blamed Milkmod economy) Since I uninstalled both no more infinite load screen anymore.

 

What was strange is that every load screens within markarth or COC to any inner locations worked, but once opening doors to exteriors gave me infinite load screens.

Now that you mention it, it happened to me too.

The Jaree Ra start for Pirate Prize is brilliant, I have a couple of questions though:

 

Once completed does it run a second time for clearing the mine if Thonar is dead

 

Can you get your gear back? I noticed all my lockpicks had been removed so couldn't check the chests this time and Deeja didn't have it.

 

Not worried if you don't I'm just curious (though I would like to get the first bit of the Gauldur Amulet Back so hopefully everything stays in game). If it does persist and you go back to get it (and kill the Corsairs) would that then cause a problem with the Thieves Guild special mission "The Dainty Sload"?

I don't think the 'Pirate Prize' quest would run a 2nd time, but I didn't specifically test that it wouldn't.  If it does, that's a bug.  Your gear should still be in the chest, but you would need to pickpocket the key from the First Mate.  (Deeja stole your lockpicks - which I'd always intended for the quest, but couldn't manage because the armbinder had already hidden them).

 

The Dainty Sload is respawnable, according to the UESP Wiki:

  • "If the corsairs and the first mate have been killed prior to the quest The Dainty Sload, the ship will fully reset, giving you a chance to double your loot."

If it does respawn though, any of your loot that's still aboard at that time will likely be lost.


Re: infinite loading screens: No such problem here, and I'm not running a high-end computer by any means.  If you have the expanded Cidhna Mine with the extra 20 NPCs, that would be the most likely culprit in my opinion (not MilkMod or Devious Cidhna).  Certainly I have snappier load times in cells with no other NPCs.

Hi,

have a problem ... when i come to madanach and he sends me to talk to that other guy .... or later kill the otherone if i stay in his range too long the quest fails and he attacks me. so i guess something that my mods do is counting as an attack to madanach. Here my mods ... any idea what might be causing this?

I'll be able to test that shortly, though personally I'd be quite happy for it to run a second time, it's a brilliant little quest and the Icerunner start was a work of inspiration on your part.

 

The lockpicks are stolen correctly as you find out once the armbinder is removed though Deeja doesn't have them if you go back to the Icerunner to kill her, There are plenty around if you loot all the containers so I would consider it a good enhancement.

The main reason why I don't intend the Dainty Sload quest to be repeatable is immersion.  There are two possibilities, as I see it:

  1. You killed the old crew.  Now you have a new crew, who happen to say the exact same things.
  2. You escaped by stealth.  You're recaptured, yet the crew treats you exactly the same as the first time, and has no memory of your last visit.

Neither of those strikes me as plausible.  There's an obvious fix for some of that (make them harsher on a recapture), but it amounts to a whole new scenario (at least in terms of dialogue and quest stages).

Just tested after freeing Madanach and then killing the Silverblood Mercs at Karthwasten and it's working correctly, it doesn't run a second time when sleeping (tested outdoors with a bedroll)

I had the same problem than therealkarlsquell and I could confirm, Sex Crime has to be removed during the scenes inside the prison. Deactivating through the MCM menu it isn't enough.

Sex Crime & Sexlab Stop Combat gave me some worries. Now everything is fine again. :)

I'm having a spot of trubble with the meet the neighbours quest, right now its stalling at the begining, and its not progessing past stage 20, borkul and the chief just stand there looking at each other after saying 2 lines of dialogue.

I can advance the quest by using setstage 30 of course, but I was wondering what SHOULD be happening ? whats supposed to be said during the negotiation, and whats supposed to happen after. Then Perhaps I can see if I have something else in my game conflicting with how the quest should be progressing

@Funkcikle: no idea what could be interfering.  Most of the negotiation normally happens out of earshot (no actual dialogue), then Borkul says goodbye and leaves.

New version v1.60 up, with a minor expansion and alternative to the 'bad end' part of Pirate Prize.  More of an alternative ending actually, rather than a 'bad end'.  If Devious Devices Expansion is installed, then instead of being dumped on some beached pirates, the character is marched up to Erikur's house in Solitude.  The end result should leave you 'free' but wearing a full set of red leather 'restrictive' gear from DDx.

 

If my Angrim mod is installed, the cumulative effect of the whole ordeal will also trigger some passive abilities appropriate to a bondage witch (see the release notes).  These do not involve hands-bound spell casting (there's a perfectly good mod in progress for that already, and I see no reason to reinvent it).  Rather, they offer some compensation for the fact that a bound character often has to give up some potential enchantment slots (e.g. gloves and boots) for their accessories.

 

Edit: Just to be clear, this does not mean that DDx or Angrim are now required.  They are used in this one ending if they are available, that's all.

A note on compatibility: if you are running Deviously Cursed Loot's newest version, you should probably disable sex attacks and NPC comments adding random devices to your character for the duration of any extended scenes (i.e. most every scenario in this mod).  Unexpected interruptions of those sorts can cause all sorts of odd, unexpected behavior.  Which is not a knock against Cursed Loot; it just isn't possible to allow for all the interactions that may result.

Im stuck right in the end of pirate prize when the elf come get you he only says to me "put that corset..." and nothing happens.

any idea why ? all my mods are up to date

Waiting doesn't help.  It is based on number of scenes (25+) with the corsairs, not time spent (and you probably have to have gotten free of all restraints at least temporarily, I don't recall for sure).

@fathippo: Did you get the other items?  Or none?  Do you have the latest version of DDx?  I assume that since you say you tried the new pirate end, the elf Melaran showed up.  Right?

 

@others: Anyone else seeing this problem?
