Devious Cidhna (May-5-2018)

The content that isn't directly tied to Cidhna Mine NPCs (i.e. Piriate Prize with the Lights Out start, and the new A Dish Served Hot) should still work if you installed the mod after completing the mine.

After a bit of fiddling here and fiddling there I determined that after the "pirate prize" quest (which I started via getting defeated in the "light's out!" quest) enemies of all factions no longer attack me. Immediatly before starting the pirate prize quest enemies attack me as normal, afterwards they don't. Oh, and contraty to the description I got dropped in Markath.

One, this mod only changes faction behavior for BanditAllyFaction during the 'Pirate Prize' quest.  Nothing else, and even that should automatically revert to normal on leaving the vicinity of the Dainty Sload.  Did the quest not finish?  What stage is it at?

Two, there is nothing in this mod that teleports the character to Markarth.  So I can only conclude that you're confusing the effects of some other mod with this one.  Are you sure that Death Alternative or Defeat didn't kick in?

Oh, okay. I received the "your owner is very disappointed with your attitude and sells you to a new owner, bag over head blabla" message, from what I now guess originates from Sanguine Debauchery.  Since I never got that one before when enslaved I figured it was the "get sold to bandits" part at quest-end. It also explains why the quest didn't finish. Sorry, my bad!

I think that's Maria Eden, not SD.

Since I don't use Maria Eden that can't be it. ;)

I thought that because ME does have a teleport to Markarth and is the only mod I know of that gives your owner the ability to sell you to someone else. If SD has that capability, I haven't been paying close enough attention. ;)

Hi ! First I want to tell you that I love your mod and I've been using it for quite some time. In the description of "A dish served hot" you say

 If the conditions are met (no conflicting DD gear, no conflicting quest, no follower to interfere) this can result in the character being fitted with a collar and gag.

But what are the conflicting quests ? Because I can't activate that quest even after doing the forsworn conspiracy one.

@nicoda: Which NPC are you talking to?  Yngvar will only initiate it if Thonar is dead, and you're not currently on the Mara quest.  Rollf will not initiate it if you've sided with the Stormcloaks in the civil war.

None of them will initiate it if you have a follower.

Hi! First I want to tell you that this mod is amazing and brilliant in ways I can't even find words for. It's like a dream mod come true.

However, in my testing, I have found that one very odd glitch. I have no idea if anyone else has gotten this glitch, I certainly don't think I anyone else have. I was running quickly through The Forsworn Conspiracy, getting it out of the way so I can get to the good stuff. I go to kill Nepos the Nose and I can't. I couldn't kill anyone in the house. As if Nepos and his servants were immortal, they just stood there and let me hit them. Didn't attack me back or anything. I do mean anything literally. They wouldn't even go through their idle animations.

When their health would finally bottom out it would just snap right back. I tried fiddling with setessential and everything. Eventually I decided to deactivate Devious Cidhna on a lark (I mean there's nothing in you mod that really deals with The Forsworn Conspiracy right?) and when I go to kill them they're suddenly mortal again, they go through their idle animations while I talk to Nepos.

tl;dr: Somehow your mod made Nepos immortal???

After killing Nepos I just reactivated the mod and everything so far has continued fine and dandy.

I'm getting a persistent crash during Pirate Prize when the corsairs try to talk to me. Is this a known problem? I have Zaz animation pack to 6.06, I wonder if that could be the cause of the problem.

Is there a preq to get the alternate ending with Erikur? After my pirate count passes 25, I still cannot get an alternate ending and if I manually set the stage to 51, it just dumps me to the beach alternate ending?

@WaterRabbit: DD Expansion is a prereq for that ending (dynamically checked when the Pirate scenario starts, not a hard dependency).  That's because it uses items (red leather corset, collar, gloves, boots) not found in DDa / DDi.

I have DD Expansion 1.21 installed since the beginning. Does one have to talk with Erikur before the quest starts?

No, there's no other quest prereq.  It is a semi-random dialogue option from any of the pirates (except the first mate), once the stated conditions are met, one of the possible responses to "Master, are you ready for me".  Check that DDx was properly recognized ('help DvCidhna 3', look for 'HasDDx').  Stage 51 is not used in this outcome.

The precise conditions are:

GetStage DvCidhna_DaintySload >= 20
GetGlobalValue DvCidhna_PirateCount > 25
GetGlobalValue DvCidhna_HasDDx == 1
GetCurrentTime > 6 and < 18

So my best guess would be that the time of day is the problem for you (this condition is to avoid issues with NPC sleep schedules, locked houses, etc.).

So I re-started the quest from the point after the first mate greets the pc.  I was able to get the alternate ending this time.  The only thing I did differently was to not pickpocket the equipment chest key from the first mate.

With the new Pirate Prize event, shouldn't HDT highheels be added as a required mod? Since I am having difficulty circumventing the need to wear the restrictive boot.

Posted

Since HDT heels are a prereq for DDx, they are a requirement for that ending too.  I'm not going to list all the dependencies-of-dependencies.
