Storms of Superior Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 i believe that the problem with the quest is whether or not you have been to whiterun or not. The quest probably only triggers if the player have yet to visit whiterun. and that's probably why one has to start a new game for the quest to function properly. i'm just talking out of my ass here, but maybe the quest trigger can be changed to somethign else? Actually the first quest is supposed to start when you enter a new game. It says something like I've heard Whiterun is different... If you wait until you get to Whiterun to trigger the quest, then there is no reason to have a quest like that.
afa Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Has anyone tested this with the actual Skyrim main quest? Whiterun is an important location in the main quest, how does this mod behave during the siege of Whiterun or the important story scenes in Dragonsreach? I have never tried it, but If the siege of Whiterun is going to features all the NPCs intact along with legions of soldiers from both sides I have a feeling that you might CTD from over loading alone. I am at the level where vampires can attack in town and if it is a large group that attacks at night my game will usually crash when the fighting starts. As for the new game thing, I have yet to figure out a way to have the quest starts in an existing save that never had Slaverun installed before. Regardless if Whiterun is discovered beforehand or not. Granted I have only been testing using an older version of Live Another Life. A while back there was some talk of Dragon Rising being some sort of trigger, haven't have any luck with that also, but in case that it matters I finish Bleak Falls Barrow using setstage command, but fought the dragon for real.
WaxenFigure Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to perform such testing. Your help in doing that makes a big difference. Ok tested Enforcer V4 with a new game. There's definitely some sort of reporting bias going on. Once again didn't get reported in General store nor Halls of the Dead when law is in full effects, and it doesn't seems like they rape also while in that location. Edit: It seems to be cell based, happen to run into Belethor at night outside, he reported PC for having weapon, he also had sex with a slave on the side of the road. Probably a distance issue, you may be just outside the reporting distance when you are talking to him over the ocunter. Also able to recreate how follower get strip. Followers do not seem to get strip when they are following, but when they get dismiss in Whiterun they get strip. Weapons disappear completely, armor stay in inventory. However if PC engages in sex followers will get strip for some reason even when they are following. My script is failing to set the flag needed to strip the followers and enslave them if the player is enslaved. Fix is coming soon. Some NPCs seem more responsive in going after female than others. Brutus has trouble even picking the slave right next to him on the wheel, keeps returning no slave around message. Edit: in general it seems like stationary NPCs tend to trigger less, they do sometimes, but less than the ones walking around, could be a distance thing. Not a huge issue, although Brutus might decide to trigger sex on PC in the middle of the force greet. I think I am going to switch to using the cloaking effect, it has it's own issues but maybe it will work better though the failure of some males to get relief from slaves that ought to be available just makes it more of a minefield for the player to have deal with. MCM menu for arousal threshold to call slaves vs free female for sex are definitely linked as soon as one of the sliders are moved. Changing one will bring the other to either -10 or +10 depending on which one you mess with. Default is the only case where they can have a different range, and I can't reset both sliders back to default value after messing around with them earlier, they will just arrange themselves back to 10 level apart. Have you read the description on the MCM menu page that shows when you mouse over the option? It clearly states that it will maintain a minimum of 10 distance between the two values. It doesn't seem like PC being a slave and follower being a slave (mirroring PC) due to Slaverun quest will cause sex to trigger using the lower call slave for sex arousal value. Edit: Actually I am not so sure anymore, it seems like it does occasionally trigger at the lower arousal level however I can't say for sure if it is because the arousal climbing up 10 levels before the message roll around up again. Arousal goes up pretty fast when there are nudity and sex everywhere Come to think of it, I might be able to test it if I "lock" arousal using arousal's MCM menu. The setting for tagging slave sex as rape does not seem to work on PC, it still register as normal. After enabling free female sex as rape however it does register the act as aggressive. Tested while PC was slave. However I can't say if it is because the trigger was based on free female or not. Going back to the whole was the scene triggered using the slave arousal or free female arousal... Edit 2: Ok tested using Arousal lock. At slave threshold actual slaves and NPCs checked as slaves in the MCM will get target. If check box checked as rape, it will play aggressive animation. However it doesn't seem like PC and follower will get trigger by the slave threshold even if enslaved by Slaverun quest. At free female threshold everyone is fair game along with PC and followers. NPC will go after both slave and free female. Treat sex as rape check box works as it should. Something interesting I notice with the rape check boxes. If slave sex is checked as rape but free female sex is left as normal, the free female threshold trigger always seems to have priority over the slave threshold, when NPC is arouse enough to go after even free female, even if the target is a slave he will not start aggressive animation, it'll be a normal animation. Side note, it seems very difficult for follower to get pick as victim for some reason, it happens, but is a lot less than other NPCs, slaves or PC. Aggressor will often go after someone else even if follower is right next to them. Who gets picked is supposed to be based on the closest available female who meets the requirement with the caveat that any slave found within calling distance will always be called before a free female. Since the mod was failing to enslave followers it stands to reason that they would be picking slaves first even when a free female is closer. I have toyed with the idea of building a list of all the females in range and then randomly picking one of them for attention or perhaps picking the most aroused.

Regarding the reporting and call for sex in General store and Halls of the Dead. I think I had PC stand behind the counter right in front of Belethor, and definitely had her stand right in front of the priest in Halls of the Dead. Not sure if it is related, but when I had the debug messages on, it wasn't returning the "checks" for Belethor or the priest while inside the shop and Halls of the Dead. It just returns PC and followers. Also the reporting distance seems pretty far usually, Bannered Mare bard is able to report PC pretty quickly with PC standing just a few steps in from the the entrance. As for the MCM menu, I noticed the minimum of 10 differences, but there's no maximum right (within arousal range of course)? the default I think is 60/85, and that's the only time they are not 10 apart. Before I did the arousal lock trick for testing calling for slave vs free female I tried to set the range to be far apart but no matter how I mess around with them the sliders always rearrange themselves back to 10 apart, no more no less. Decreasing the slave one will decrease the free female one, increasing the free female one will increase the slave one. Maybe a different format like: Slider 1: Arousal needed to call slave, maximum 90 Slider 2: Additional arousal needed to call female, minimum 10 Just an idea, not sure how effective or doable it is.

With the exception of "HousecarlWhiterun.esp" which changes Lydia a tad (essential + she wears anything you give her). Also, I didn't start a new game. I installed the now latest version (first time install, no upgrade). Could this still be the problem? well, I have a few followers and upgraded over a previous version, so you should have a better chance at being bug free than me Has anyone tested this with the actual Skyrim main quest? Whiterun is an important location in the main quest, how does this mod behave during the siege of Whiterun or the important story scenes in Dragonsreach? haven't tried the main quest yet, it gets interesting starting the companions quest line naked with your dukes up against a fully armed varkas Has anyone tested this with the actual Skyrim main quest? A while back there was some talk of Dragon Rising being some sort of trigger, haven't have any luck with that also, but in case that it matters I finish Bleak Falls Barrow using setstage command, but fought the dragon for real. I've seen some decent battles here from the high bounty as I was upgrading from a previous version of the mod, but only ctd I've seen from a battle was when my follower was the 1 reporting me for covering my self when I was naked and my other followers didn't like that so much so it was guards attacking us and followers fighting amonst, quick ctd so far I've found that every bounty I've gotten from this mod when fully naked was related to followers - the fist bounty I fought with all night getting $5,000 bounties for being reported as covering when fully naked turned out I had to reload to a point before a follower went missing, next I started getting a $5 bounty during the training sessions due to random follower idles or attempts to follow the player during the scenes then when the player reached the end of the quest line and leaves town, a message comes on screen stating you've left the whiterun nudity laws or something to that effect, so you get all geared up and notice that your followers and the npc's in riverwood (haven't tested the next town yet, will try dawnstar tomorrow) all seem to have the added enforcer dialogs as if they to are in whiterun: "what" and, if its a male being spoken to "yes, sir, you were saying something" - both npc dialogs are fully functional with appropriate responses to them as if the player is stil in whiterun....the male only dialog is ok, it's a free lay when you need it, but the "what" dialog on every npc asif the whiterun nudity law applies everywhere, but still only gets a bounty in whiterun is just an annoying button to avoid clicking as you go thru the dialog options of every npc oh ya, and after you get the bugs worked out and start on the questline again, maybe could put some type of skill identifier thru the sexlab for the jarl that bases his satisfaction atleast somewhat off your sexlab skills/stats so he knows the difference between a cheap slut and some good sucky sucky finally it'd be nice to see some follow-up player dialog for the 3 slaves being sold, especially the 2 being for help - should be some type of interaction with thevendor in response to it, instead of telling the trader to step aside and let you look at the merchandise with his reponse being to watch your toungue there needs to be a dialog option along the lines of "I'd like to purchase 1 of your slaves sir", the responses from the npc to it can vary, even exclude the slave from purchase, but atleast the player knows the dialog would be there, but you're a slave now you can't buy another.... hope those aren't too much to ask, I'm not expecting all at once, prefer to see the progress so everything stays playable, the more you try to change at once, the harder it is to update without a fresh start so give us the pices, let us test it some more and everybodys happier this way ...eager to see the next quest, but bug fixes should always come first
Hang_Doll Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 This mod does not like to work for extended periods of time. Even after getting it to work it refuses to keep working and will begin crashing each time you enter Whiterun or have a save in whiterun. It doesn't seem to make a single bit of difference on what mods you have, if the save is new or old. It just crashes.
Debaster Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Post your load order then papyrus. DId you try using the "lite" option in the mcm?
dinobenoid3 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I'm at the part right after i first get enslaved, and have to find the beads near the twins, but theres nothing there but them.
Pinute Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Well, just about everything I came to report is listed above. Only one extra bug: I did the main line quest using Live another Life, rescuing Ralof, getting the stone and then heading to Whiterun (with a few Amorous Adventures along the way). When Brutus greeted me, I chose the 'give up my gear option', starting the enforced nudity bits. From there, everything ran fine up until meeting up with Irileth on the way to the western watchtower to kill Mirmulnir. Irileth was still naked, and stayed that way through the encounter. Otherwise, just one observation. What I like most about this mod is its nearly seamless integration into Whiterun. But, Having ALL female npcs being forced into nudity is a bit jarring. Wouldn't Aela or Uthgerd rather die than be forced to run around naked? Irileth probably wouldn't be able to maintain Guard discipline if she's constantly being ogled and even raped by her men! One more thing you might consider - a method for adding npcs from other mods - like Inconsequential NPCs or Hydra Slavegirls - to the slave lists. To be honest though, I haven't observed long enough to see how the attacks play out on non-vanilla npcs so if you've got that in hand, sorry for bringing it up But even if you leave it as it is and only tackle the few bugs left you've given me a reason to have my pc run around naked and added a cornucopia of eye candy to my game. Thanks! Have I said yet, 'Great Mod'? Just in case: pchs, this is a Great Mod. Excellent concept, and I'm really looking forward to it's progression.
traveller_phi Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I have to agree with Pinute, great concept, but there are lore issues. Characters such as Irileth and Aela, why the hell would they hang out in Whiterun once this attitude towards females is instituted? Aela might have family in Whiterun, but Irileth? That would just leave loyalty to her jarl, who would be the one instituting these rules. Though possibly if the Jarl's hand was forced somehow, and Irileth is staying to help the Jarl reverse the changes to bring normalicy. Would provide for an interesting questline to return whiterun to normal. I believe pchs mentioned that his motivation for this mod was to provide an atmosphere of danger for females. My personal preference for generating this sort of atmosphere is a more subtle approach. In Slaverun, the danger has already happened, and you are witnessing the aftermath. For example, there is more dramatic tension seeing a hurricane off the coast bearing down on a city than to visit the city afterwards. Likewise, I would not have the whole female population subject to such draconian laws. Yes to a thriving slave trade in the city. Modify female AI to always head to safety indoors after dark. Add dialogues, women warning the PC to be careful, as female freedom is something that is always hanging by a thread. Some slaves can explain/bemoan what little thing it was that landed them on the wrong side of an auction block. Perhaps just saying no to a date with a guy from a connected family is enough to trump up charges. Perhaps whisperings that Whiterun could easily topple into full blown Slaverun mode, and have a questline to either preserve Whiterun or push forward to Slaverun. On the push towards Slaverun I can imagine two paths, one simply convincing the PC it is the "natural order" for females to be subservient to males, and a second path where there is some actual reward for a more mercenary minded PC. For a true Slaverun sort of mod, the ultimate goal should be more of a total conversion. A lot of NPCs will need to be rewritten so that their personalities and backstories match the world of Slaverun, not the world of vanilla Skyrim. As mentioned Irileth and Aela would have to be heavilly rewritten or replaced. Irileth might stay on as Jarl Balgruuf's only true ally as he works to regain the political power to set things right. (Otherwise I cannot imagine Irileth staying) Aela may become the leader of the resistance, forced out of Slaverun as she plots to restore Whiterun. She may be allied to Balgruuf in this, or consider him the enemy for not being able to prevent it. If the leadership of the Companions decide to secretly support Aela, then there may be a secret tunnel from Jorrvaskr leading outside the city walls for the resistance to use. And of course Whiterun would not be one isolated spot of depravity. If this attitude was widespread it can be stable, but with all other holds at vanilla levels it would be easy for a resourceful lord to depose Balgruuf and take control of Whiterun, winning the female populace instantly to his/her side. The other Jarls would allow this, as it would normalize the situation from the lose cannon that Slaverun presents to them. Solitude would probably be the safest place for a female, but should still be more dangerous than vanilla. Riften would be a wildcard with a female Jarl. Could be as safe as solitude, or perhaps Laila has bought into the "natural order" argument. The latter might provide a questline for a male PC as she is still looking for a male worthy for her to submit to. Windhelm would depend on what you think the "traditional" Nord outlook is on male and female roles. I certainly don't mean to criticize pchs on what he has accomplished. Both my ideas above would require atleast 10 times the work that has already been put into Slaverun. I just wanted to get my ideas out, and perhaps help Slaverun evolve.
jfraser Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I have to agree with Pinute, great concept, but there are lore issues. It's easier if you just forget vanilla's lore and let this be the new "normal". Then balgruff is a very different person and the player has more reason to join the Stormcloaks. With the ability to toggle the mod off, it's a great new storyline: the empire has started slavery in skyrim, ulfric wins and abolishes it.

Ulfric is far far more likely to BE the one instituting slavery than the Empire and Elisif. Elisif, besides being, ya know, female, doesn't have the same massively bigoted attitude that Ulfric does. One good argument as to why women are no better than non-nord men and Ulfric would be ecstatic about enslaving all the females for free fucks and sucks. He's already incredibly racist, be extremely easy to make him super misogynistic too.
Feng Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 If Ulfric would do that, wouldn't the slavery stuff need to be in Windhelm then?
CliftonJD Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 oh, I did forget 1 other thing I should mention and this may also be connected to the random ctd when exiting jorvaskr or leaving/entering dragon's reach, especially since you mentioned there should be no children involved in the scenes here and I have no children modifier mods installed: 1 time I noticed after leaving dragonsreach, I believe it was just after 1 of the training scenes, I noticed a large group of whiterun guards and a couple old men standing outside the pool in front of dragonsreach with 1 who thought he was swimming and as I walked further down to the cage area where there's normally just the 1 female standing in the cage I noticed a child in the cage with her and the pc can no longer make dialog with the child, can't tell which child it is like this, but I believe it may be the girl that bullies the boy with a quest to talk her into leaving the boy alone, its almost as if the npc's in the area didn't recognize the changes you made to the dungeons and landscape in the area until suddenly a child was drawn into the cage by mistake just like the men who are stuck standing outside the pool with 1 who thinks he's swimming

traveller_phi Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 It's easier if you just forget vanilla's lore and let this be the new "normal". Then balgruff is a very different person and the player has more reason to join the Stormcloaks. With the ability to toggle the mod off, it's a great new storyline: the empire has started slavery in skyrim, ulfric wins and abolishes it. The issue isn't me forgetting Vanilla, the issue is that the NPCs aren't forgetting vanilla. Powerful proud female NPCs jar against the backdrop of meekly following the nudity laws. That why I brought up the complete overhaul idea, rewrite the NPCs to fit the setting, or replace them with NPCs that do fit. Of course that ups the scope to require a dedicated team of modders, so the idea better belongs in the dream mods thread. Or narrow the scope of oppressed females to outsiders and the powerless, and make it clear that the dragonborn could easily fall into that category if she is not careful. The proud, powerful NPC females can fall into the frame "They must have had it coming, something like that could never happen to me" as long as they are not also written as being very compasionate. That does play hell with trying to integrate NPCs from other mods of course. Again I want to stress that this isn't a criticism of pchs, If he went straight for one of the above ideas we would still be waiting for the first release. Just potential directions to move once the base Slaverun has been fleshed out to pchs' satisfaction.

Lute Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Interestingly enough, the Stormcloaks are the only one with female guards...
Pinute Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Interestingly enough, the Stormcloaks are the only one with female guards... Not in my game. I use Diverse Guards Skyrim , but if I recall correctly there's a couple others that do the same. The first draft of my last post mentioned that having nude, weaponless guards trying to arrest the daedric equipped dragonborn was kinda weird, but there were much bigger fish to fry
Pinute Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I'm at the part right after i first get enslaved, and have to find the beads near the twins, but theres nothing there but them. There should be a table near them, that's where you find the beads.
