Seen12345 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Thanks :D I works now. I have no idea how but it does.
gooser Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 Mod update: Finished code for AnimationPatchups using Json control file (AnimationPatchups.txt), and MCM settings Export/Import (to user Json file). Not a glamorous job.
chajapa Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Gooser, Can you give me a hand figuring this out please? First time EVER I'm having issues with Apropos and while I know it's probably something *I* did... installed... whatever... I can't see what it is. Symptom: Apropos simply stops displaying anything from the description files. It appears to be running as I can see in the logs it's updating W&T, etc. When it first did this, I ended up going into MCM, UNINSTALL APROPOS from its MCM page. Save, Exit game to desktop, deactivate Apropose, load save, wait.... go pee.... wait some more..., save again, exit to desktop, load save, wait... quit to desktop again. Activate Apropos, load save, I see the message that it's starting and registering MCM menu, and.... it WORKS! Play for a few minutes.. save. Quit to desktop. Reload that last save and.... not working again. SOMETHING is breaking it or blocking it and I'm not savvy enough to know what it is. I will appreciate your time and any insights you may have. I'm not getting any errors about not parsing files which is what I usually get after I screw up a description file. Papyrus_ASW.zip apropos_ASW.zip

Hard to say, but it looks like some save file corruption wrt. Apropos. Your papyrus log has a bunch of Apropos related errors like this: [02/26/2015 - 02:58:45PM] Warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp23" stack: [alias AproposActorAlias00 on quest AproposQuest (23000D62)].aproposactoralias.Track() - "AproposActorAlias.psc" Line ? After doing that, run Savetool (or PDT if you are brave and have more time) on said save file. I have never had issues with Savetool, but I have with PDT. After you have cleaned, reactivate Apropos.esp, and move those Apropos*.pex files back into Data\Scripts, and reload that save.
chajapa Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Hmmm.... well I THOUGHT it worked... I cleaned, used SaveTool, loaded, saved, then activated Apropos and started over. I got descriptions like 3 or 4 times, then I used a breastfeeding animation and got nothing. I looked in console and no messages about not parsing the uniqueanimations file. It just did.... nothing. In fact I think I remember always seeing the message about the animation is registered as unique and THAT message wasn't there. This is very weird because this is the same Apropos setup I've been using in at LEAST a dozen other profiles. I have no idea what's going on... AND...... Water just started dripping from the trim around my bay window in the living room. Looks like the ice dams on the roof have finally bitten me. So now I have other problems
chajapa Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 DAMMIT... I figured it out I think... and it's not Apropos this time I *did* fix the corrupted save which was probably my fault as 'm testing several mods and I did a stopquest resetquest for one or 2 of them. They probably borked on that and corrupted the save. The newest version of NSAP has a damn "foreplay" tag in the breastfeeding animations that wasn't there in the previous version. AND it's in a BSA so I can't easily just take it apart and fix it. This is maddening. I might look at your tag patchup code and just write a little mod that fixes the breastfeeding animations. Or unpack NSAP, fix it there, and run it loose. Grrrrr...... and I still have to go out, get on a ladder, and chop ice off my roof. ** EDIT ** It's -5 degrees. The ice can wait... OK so I removed the Foreplay tag and it still didn't work. Now I'm guessing I need to add an Oral tag back into it. Like... Apropos will only pick up an animation with a tag for which it can quantify W&T. Is that an accurate assumption? Going back in to test.... I just dread getting up on a ladder in below zero temperatures to chop ice.... ** EDIT AGAIN ** OK, that fixed it. Adding the Oral tag and rebuilding the SexLab animation registry worked. Now to work on some more animation descriptions And for the record.... aside from my own diddling around corrupting some saves, it was not Apropos that caused the issue. It was ME. Apropos remains one of the most solid and trouble-free mods in my load order. So... thanks, Gooser, for taking the time to deal with my issue....which wasn't YOUR issue at all. Very much appreciated.
Crasses123 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I just realised that i have installed the W&T textures and the requirements AFTER i had installed slavetats. Making apropos register Slavetats without the required textures and other requirements for the W&T texture features. I have tested out the W&T texture features with some giants to quickly raise the victim level, apropos works properly, but i dont se any W&T textures being applied at all. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Thanks
Ashra XIII Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I'm having the same issue with the animation descriptions not working, but it's for any animation, not just a particular one. Everything looks like it's working fine, as in when I open the console, I can see that the messages are being posted, but they just don't appear in the top-left corner the way they used to before I did... something that broke it. This happens even in a new game, so it's not a save issue at least. Even stranger (to me) is that the problem only happens when it's my own character involved in the sexytimes... when NPCs are going at it, the messages display fine.

Are you using the non-sexlab animations pack? since those don't have the tags for the descriptions (i think) so if you are having those run it won't display anything

I have NSAP and descriptions display fine for most of them. If it's Foreplay, I don't think Apropos will display anything, and female-on-female is not supported (yet), but NSAP animations definitely do work fine with Apropos. The breastfeeding animations had their "Oral" tag removed and that caused them to not display, but I went into CK and added the tags back into them so.... I *think* the next version of Apropos will have more flexibility with tags, but since it's not released yet... I don't know
Ashra XIII Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 See, it's a weird issue because Apropos *is* posting descriptions of what's happening in each scene, but when my character is involved the text goes only into the Papyrus console, and not up onto the top-left of my screen like it's supposed to. If the sex is NPC/NPC I see the messages fine, and I also do see post-sex messages that Apropos tends to show. It's the strangest thing.
Grimbold the unlovely Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 You shouldn't be getting messages for FF and foreplay, since those features are not yet supported by Apropos.
Ashra XIII Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Not talking about FF or foreplay... this is on any position, any type, anything. Apropos is sending the messages (because when I open the console I can see them) but they aren't appearing in the top-left corner like they used to. Sometimes the text does pop up if I open the console right as there's a position change, but it then goes away when I close the console again. It's a display problem but I don't know what's interfering.

The only thing that comes to mind (but doesn't totally fit) is if you are using ifpv and it is set to hide the hud somehow?

Ashra XIII Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Oh my gosh that was it! I had narrowed it down on my own to a UI problem, as I noticed that all other parts of my interface were disappearing when a sex act started, but I had no idea that Immersive First Person did that, so had been playing with iHud and SkyUI, trying to figure out what I had messed up to cause it! Nothing worked though, and I was getting frustrated. It all makes sense now that I know... some time ago I had started a new game with some different mods installed, and for some reason my IFP profile settings all got corrupt and I had to wipe it and set the whole thing from scratch. For whatever reason, the profile I set as my Sexlab one has the option checked to hide the UI, so that's what was happening. @gooser, @jfraser you guys are my heroes!
blueballbob Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Just stopped by to say awesome mod. Keep up the good work and really enjoy the texture integration with wear and tear. Can't wait till you get some female on female added as well. Thanks!
Tyron Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 edit:resolved, clean reinstall fixed the issue, still not sure why the mod just stopped working though Hi, wondering if anyone can help me, I've been using the mod just fine for a while, but a few days ago it just stopped working, everything installs, all the menus appear as normal, but the messages never appear, anyone know what could cause it? and how to fix? edit: appears to work fine when I create a new char, but still no idea how to get it working again on my main

terrorofmorrowind Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I don't if this is mentioned before but the mod works great on normal followers and npc's but once i try it on an PAH slave, the slave isn't added to the wear and tear slot. Are they missing some keywords or something because the descriptions do pop up as they should (because they are only linked to the animation that's playing and not the npc). Any idea why this happens? btw does it also matter the slave was previously just a random npc (like a bandit, a forsworn,...)? edit:resolved, clean reinstall fixed the issue, still not sure why the mod just stopped working though Hi, wondering if anyone can help me, I've been using the mod just fine for a while, but a few days ago it just stopped working, everything installs, all the menus appear as normal, but the messages never appear, anyone know what could cause it? and how to fix? edit: appears to work fine when I create a new char, but still no idea how to get it working again on my main Running Immersive First Person View ? yeah, there's somewhere an option that allows you to turn off the hud (and so too the messages).
TezCraig Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 HI, just wondering when it would be possible to have the male/male messages? Is this going to be in the next update or further down the line? it's just that my male orc is married to Farkus and I'd love to have apropos in on the action. Thanks.
Shimsham Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 So does this mod need Sexlab Aroused period? I don't like using Aroused cause it's always a mess for me, a pain in the ass to remove; and hardly works.
srayesmanll Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 So does this mod need Sexlab Aroused period? I don't like using Aroused cause it's always a mess for me, a pain in the ass to remove; and hardly works. Says pretty clearly: REQUIREMENTS - SKSE 1.7.0+ - SexLab 1.5x (version 1.6x Alpha/Dev is not currently supported) - SexLab Aroused <---- HERE - JContainers 3.0+. Here: http://www.loverslab...63-jcontainers/ So yes, it is required. However, make sure to use the "Redux" version (search for it here). It is a modified version that reduces script load. Especially useful for those with heavily scripted games.
