(sinngemäßes) Zitat eines deutschen "Kleinkünstlers":

Ich glaube, daß die, die an die wildesten Verschwörungstheorien glauben, näher an der Wahrheit dran sind, als die, die sagen: "Alles ist in Ordnung."

(paraphrased) Quote from a german cabaretist:

I think that those who believe in the wildest conspiracy theories are closer to the truth than those who say: "Everything is fine."

I wonder how those sites "allege" ID is not required. Maybe they are located in a jurisdiction that allows them to thumb their nose and EU/UK/US laws?

Yeah, I'm wary about that myself, which is actually the main reason why I've never tried registering lol.

The answer is already posted. And you ignored it:

  • The Governments don't want people to access something that they can not take a large part of the money from in the form of 'lobbying/bribes'. Mostly because the porn industry doesn't want to give them their money.
  • The Governments punish said industry with overbearing restrictions in the form of 'ID required, even over the net', which drives people away.
  •  The porn industry makes less money, and possibly shuts down.
  • And lastly the government has won a "war" that no one could see was even happening.

Examples?

The question you asked above ring any bells? Hence why I had to re-quote myself just to answer that bullshit question.

Now can you please just FUCKING DROP IT!! Your not explaining your case/side at all, just asking for "More proof, more proof". That's not how a debate works. That is a 'Bad faith' argument. And if you just want to argue with me:

JUST FUCKING BLOCK ME!

Because I don't want to argue with you.

Piss off!

Why don't you block him, if that's how you want to handle it?

That was your response to something I posted in response to DoctaSax not an answer to something I asked you. It seems you can't understand your own posts.

Well yes it is. The onus of proof is on the person making the assertions.

Yes you do.

Guys have you stopped to see the adult subtags? they have profanity and violence in it. People will have to turn on adult content just to see some blood or bc a random swear appears in the mod. This shit is kinda funny. Makes me happy to be brazilian, people here dont give a shit about profanity or if  a teen watches porn as long its not a teen on the porn. Lets be honest those rules are as effective as putting a random sign telling people to not do something. I understand not wanting kids to see adult content but the idea that a teenager wont just ignore it and bypass anyways its ridiculous, most people here lose their virginity at 16 and the idea that people may fuck and have children but not see video game boobs or swearing sounds utterly delusional.

Not all teenagers are 16 or older, some are only 13 and in any case the laws are for protecting children generally and not just teenagers. Nor are these laws aimed solely at video games.

You're posting as if the verification and opt-in a user already has to do on Nexusmods has any bearing on this. The UK is passing or has passed new laws and Nexusmods has to comply with them, regardless of what people in Brazil think. The issue is "how is Nexusmods going to comply with the new laws?" Especially "am I going to have to do something as drastic as submit a copy of my government ID to Nexusmods or a third-party?"

And you have no idea how old "most people" in Brazil are when the lose their virginity.

Plus the EU and (is it?) 20 US states.

Well, I myself was born in (socialist) East Germany... girls who were still "virgins" at the age of 18 were laughed at by their peers.

Children are no longer biologically children once they have achieved reproductive capacity.

In "old" times this automatically meant -> they are adults ... the calendar age was not relevant here

The term "youth" is essentially something "social" - you're no longer a child, but you're not yet "fully mature," aka an adult.

Yes - young people are allowed to have sex WITH EACH OTHER - that's clearly permitted in many countries... but it's more complicated, however, if one partner is a "youth" and the other an "adult." Then, depending on the country, fairly strict criminal laws apply... unless they are married couples - because in quite a few of these countries, marriage with parental consent is permitted.

Children are something else entirely – and I mean in the "biological" sense here -> i.e., NOT capable of reproduction.

They, too, are quite interested in the topic of sexuality... out of pure curiosity. Making it taboo is just as bad as completely "looking the other way."

But as I already mentioned in my aforementioned posts -> the protection of children is now very often abused to politically push through one's own misanthropic agenda!

I didn't before because I don't normally like to do that. Especially on a mod sight, such as this is.

But it's done now. His bad faith arguments can go straight into the void for all I care.

If one can not be 'man enough' to listen to opposing opinions, viewpoints, ideas, and so on; Then one starts to put himself in a 'bubble', an 'echo chamber'. And that's never been a 'good' thing.

Still waiting for an example of this.

Sounds like projection. You have no idea of my opinion let alone what opinions I listen to. In addition to vlogs and websites I read lots of books and scholarly essays and have never used social media. Can you say the same?

I have read your posts and challenged your assertions and you have failed to meet any of the challenges.

Cinema for Germans

On that tangent, I believe some Brits pronounce "cinema" as "kinema."

My point is that anytime someone says something is true of "most people," it probably isn't.

Not as a dialect thing, more as a word play thing we do such as e.g pronounce 'chef' with a 'ch' rather than the softer 'sh'. It's deliberate mispronunciation for want of a better way of putting it.

'Vigenar'. 'Crip' (crisps (plural and singular)). We also shift the emphasis to a different syllable, e.g. 'em-barrassed', 'froo-it' (fruit).
