klkster12 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hey guys hoping someone can help me here, I'm currently at Redbelly mine trying to find the wolf but I'm unable to progress due to my animation failing for the small spider. Animations for all my creatures are working and I progressed through the quest fine but for some reason my game fails to start anything with the smaller spiders I have reinstalled sexlab and my animations. I have tested that all other spider variants work but I get a scene failed notification on the small spiders and in Redbelly cave the first spider just dies and disappears soft locking me. I'm using Sexlab p+ with billys anims for the spiders. Hoping if someone can give me a new animation or a tip to bypass this part of the quest.

You can always use the console command, just type help BLZR and look for a quest on riften, because drug dealers are asking to find a dog Edited December 5, 2024 by coronelwirs

Are there any variations in the solitude quest depending on the race being played? Since we are talking about the Talmor, I decided to create a high elf. While I've just started going through the plot again, does it make sense to me at all, or is there no difference? I remember Elenwen declaring how wild the lower races are in their desires. What would she say to a woman of her race?

Yes there are some differences in dialogue depending on your human or High Elf race, but other High Elves will not be softer with words if the PC is the same race as them. Remember Corwen? Well as long as you have played the quest in Solitude.

I was hoping that this would somehow be beaten, I understand that few people play for this race, and there are few presets for it. But I love to break the boundaries of logic, because I once played a Talmorian elf a long time ago, and I played for Ulfric. That was the first time I did this, I thought the game would take it into account, but no. They just called me an outsider. Guys, hello, you can say your class and ideological enemy is standing in front of you, but you have enough primitive testing- vuala- you are accepted. At first, it's even dumber when she's being led to execution. And there Ellenwen is like: I don't see anything, I don't see, I don't care, just fuck off, i wanna go home and have a drink of wine. Unfortunately, though, this would require a lot more work in creating every dialogue where a character's race is mentioned. I can give you an example in Companions. So in the 1st era there was a High Elf Harbinger! As his predecessor put it ‘even an elf can be born with the heart of a Nord sometimes’, but the effect was that some companions left precisely because the ELF became a Harbinger. In the Skyrim era, even Companions pass quite easily the fact that an Elf becomes their leader. In the case of the Nord, it's Ulfric's ‘I accept you’, but just about every other race has to do the Ice Something test, but for the Elves he could have given something more difficult, especially the High Elf. 1

Exactly! Returning to whether it was necessary to prescribe individual dialogues depending on race. I think so, because not all factions care who you are. The thieves guild doesn't care, the dark brotherhood doesn't care, the Dawnguards doesn't care, Magicians don't care either. Who's staying? The Civil War, the companions, and the storyline itself with Dovakin and after Mirak. There's not much to prescribe. Instead of selling the same game 20 times, they could add dialogues for races. They just messed up, like it will do.

Too expensive to do because Modders will do it, it's free Even the Cmpanions don't care who joins them, so only the civil war is left to Ulric's side, and it's already a waste of time to create a spelcated quest, because High Elf or in general for Elves even if we want to join Ulfric as an Elf.
MrMagpie Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I sometimes loose Balazar, maybe because he does not behave like a typical follower? I took a carriage from Riften to Windhelm and he is nowhere to be found, typical tricks like waiting or changing cells do not fix it.
MrMagpie Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 (edited) ZAZ 8.0+ is a hard requirement, I see it is listed as a requirement now, but I think it may be helpful to stress that not having the right version is a quest breaker. Because I just check if I had the latest ZAZ and it looked fine in MO2. Anyway, found that as a solution is the thread, but now the Thalmor Emissary is missing, just not there after the scene with the Thalmor soldiers in the castle dour. What do you mean "missing"? Is the building gone? What do you see when you go up the hill and through the gate? Does a guard greet you at the gate? Are the party carriages and carriage drivers in the yard?

What would she say to a woman of her race? As killer905 mentioned, there are some dialogue differences. The mod's "lore" is that the Thalmor, being of pure Altmer blood, as recorded in their birth registries, consider themselves not only superior to other races, but also superior to High Elves that are not pure-blooded (or who can't prove that they're pure-blooded). This is based on the fact that (per the UESP) the Thalmor were originally a bureau responsible for safeguarding Altmeri heritage, So, some difference in dialogue, but it still makes sense with a High Elf PC (unless you're playing them as a Thalmor).

No, it is not the embassy, I assume it is the part before that, still in Solitude. After you get of the post, you need to go to the Thalmor HQ in the castle dour. You get greeted by two Thalmor soldiers, things proceed like you expect them to, and then you follow one of them up some stairs and he introduced me to an emissary that was not there. Going to restart that part of the quest now, see if it goes better now.
MrMagpie Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 So the quest is BLZR_Solitude, the stage is 140. Setstage 150 explains the presence of the two Huskies, but not the absence of the emissary... Setstage 170 finishes the quest, but without the letter you need for the next quest. For now I will reload a previous safe and do the other Jarl's quest first (Markarth I think). Maybe the problem will have solved it self, if not I will tinker with the console a bit more or reinstall the mod.

Just go to one of the other Jarls after the Clavicus Vile temple is done. I did end up doing this successfully, by using setstage to move the quests to where Balazar has his dialogue to end the quest. Got the collar, was able to progress to the three other quests...everything seems good, hopefully I didn't break my game
shiagwen Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 What shall you do after you get the dog from maras temple ?

There should be a quest marker on Dinya and an objective to speak with her. She is the first of the five priestesses you need to speak to. Be sure you are using this mod's dialogue to get the dog as a follower, and not some other follower framework.
shiagwen Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Running around for hours in windhelm with the rats to bring them in stonbe quarter, quest did not move forward. No questmarkrer on the map, i dont like to waste my time like this.

Roark2TJ Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 So, I'm gonna start a playthrough with this mod soon, and I have one question: Would you say that it's better to play through the Soliltude Quest before or after infiltrating the Thalmor Agency? I ask because I have the mod that lets you get Elenwen as a follower/lover, and since you recruit her after you infiltrate the party, I would like to be able to finish all the stuff involving her in this mod before I get her as a follower/lover.

Interesting mod you have, but it doesn't matter if you complete before or after Diplomatic Immunity quest. Because its used her clone for this mod during that quest.
Celedhring Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Minor issue with the "animal performance" at the Thalmor Embassy. The first animal (wolf) wouldn't respond to to my clicking on the reply to start the sex animation, but disabling/enabling the wolf fixed it. All "animal performances" went fine after that. It's hard to find the object that I needed to get in the Embassy and got caught alot and at one point FMEA fired a trap and nailed my PC for a lockpicking bounty that sent her to prison. And then there's the potential for a Chaurus response to opening drawers/chests as a result of Deviously Enchanted Chests which can trigger Estrus tentacles (I have that one set as a very high percentage!)

Not having ZAZ 8.0+ is indeed a quest breaker like with the bondage post in Solitude. It won't appear if you have ZAZ 8.0 or lower. I strongly recommend linking the mod as many of us have not updated for a very long time from ZAZ 8.0 or lower.
