So, I'm back.

 

I still have the same problem already stated. Cast spells have no effects on my NPCs wearing DD stuffs.

What I did before post here:

 

1. Deleted the previous save and maintained the "clean" save I had at High Hrotgar before I went to the College of Winterhold. I'm on the quest to search the Elder Scroll.

2. Removed by console all my DD spells.

3. Removed by console my DD smithing perk.

4. Saved.

5. Go to the College, talked with Urag about the Elder Scrolls, grabbed the key and, totally undetected because my sneak skills are on level 97, grabbed the Chastity Book and the Spell Tome: Stream. Learned both things. Placed back the book in the forbidden library for future start of the FT quest.

6. Saved

7. Recruited a Ningheim girl (custom follower added by the Ningheim race mod and plugin) who lives in the Arcaneum. Her name is Helena, Combat mage. Gave her some stuffs (armor, weapon).

8. Gave her the Soulgem Plug (right message box about "she blushes") and the Padded Belt (right message box about "she sheers" or something like that).

9. Equipped the Stream Spell on the right hand. Armed (both hands, you already said how it works). Casted on Helena who is sitting but I'm absolutely sure she wears the belt that is visible in game. (Attached pic).

 

Result:

Nothing. No sounds, no vibrations, no animations.

Checked her arousal level: before I gave her all it was 13. After the cast it is still 13. Maybe too short time but it is.

 

Here attached there are my load order (please, don't scare about the "insane" number of mods) and my latest papyrus.log (extract in which there are the zad things).

Edit: As reported by other users, also in my game the Mouth Gags doesn't block NPCs to talk. I weared the Ring Gag to Mjoll (famous talkative girl) but she talks as a machinegun as before.

I am trying to play Angrims Apprentice which requires this mod but I am getting a message that I had a bad uninstall previously, can anyone tell me how I figure out what I need to get rid of to correct this? I am a big ol' modding noob...

After I have installed Sanguine´s Debauchery and the Compatibility Patch, the game finaly starts and I can load a savegame.

 

But now I get the hole time this massage ingame:

 

A fatal error has occurred with your installation of Devious Devices. Incomplete uninstall attempt perhaps? Aborting update chain.

 

This happens with v2.6.2 and v2.6.3.

 

How can I fix this?

That message is a failsafe: It exists to prevent bloating, if the script's operating environment is damaged. You can't fix it, short of attempting a reinstall / starting a new character. I've never even seen it occur, I just included the check for posterity. Post a copy of your log, and we'll rule out that it wasn't erroneously displayed.

No errors in the log, but no sign of it trying to start a vibration effect for the target. Odd! I have a few things for you to try, while we narrow down the cause of the problem.

 

Try the development spell. It's fire and forget, as opposed to channeling. It also bypasses a few checks that might be causing it to not work for you: player.addspell xx02bb55

 

Click on your companion, and type "HasMagicEffectKeyword zad_EffectVibratingWeak" (Assuming you're using the base soulgem plugs).

This should display HasMagicEffectKeyword >> 1.00

 

 

Regarding the gag: We've already talked about that, :P

The EFF multifollower mod has a "not-by-dialogue" system to interact with active followers. It's a message box that appears once you clcicked the "E" key on the follower.

One of the options in the message bos is "commerce" that opens the inventories as your are playing with a merchant. Very quick and useful.

 

Tis something I intend to add in a future update.

Advice for everyone with installation issues, 20 Steps foolproof procedure:

 

1 - Uninstall Devious Devices - Integration

2 - Run FNIS

3 - Uninstall Devious Devices - Assets

4 - Uninstall Sexlab Aroused

5 - Uninstall Sexlab framework

6 - Run FNIS

7 - Install last version of Sexlab framework

8 - Run FNIS

9 - Install last version of Sexlab Aroused

10 - Install last version of Devious Devices - Assets

11 - Install last version of Devious Devices - Integration

12 - Run FNIS

13 - Run FNIS again to be sure

14 - Load a Clean Save

15 - Wait for all the MCM mod registration messages

16 - Open Sexlab MCM menu and uncheck Normal stripping slots 45,49,53,56,59 and Aggressive stripping slot 56

17 - Save the game.

18 - Quit to the Main Menu

19 - Reload Save game

20 - Enjoy the mod

I'm worried because we don't knoe what happens. I'll try tour suggestions about the development spell and the console command on the NPC.

 

Note (surely already posted but I'm a bit out of brain today):

 

Mining, Enchanting at the Arcane Enchanter and doing potions at the Alchemy Lab are ALL considered as "sitting" actions and make the related message to appear on the top left of the screen.

PPS: experienced the infamous "unending vibration and unending moans" after an intense combat in which I shouted several times and casted a lot of magic destruction spells. Not knowing how to do, I exit the game without saving, loosing an hour.

Some useful command?  Like the "HasMagicEffect false" or "remove from "vribationFaction"?

Regarding the OnSit thing: Old, known issue that I haven't gotten around to fixing. Thanks for the report, though.

 

Vibration duration's stack: If an event is already playing, performing actions that would cause them to vibrate will instead add to the duration of an existing event. The very most you could stack it up to would be several minutes (Not including time spent animating). If you feel there was an error, feel free to post a copy of your log to verify. You could indeed remove yourself from the "zadvibratorfaction" faction to stop it immediately, as well (xx029568)

Sooo ....

- Gave Soulgem plug and padded belt to Mjoll.

- Checked by console "HasMagicEffectVibrating"  >> reports 1.00

- Equipped the developmet spell.

- Casted the spell on her  ------------->  WORKED!

 

- Equipped the new Drip, Sustained (from book) and casted again on her  -----------> nothing.

 

- Did the same thing with Aela and myself.

- Casted the one-shot Drip  --------------> Works on target and to myself at the same time!  :) 

- Tried again with the Drip, Sustained -----------> nothing.

 

I noticed one thing. The new spells (Sustained) have not a "charge time" (the normal Drip casts when the mouse is released) but they are casted on fly (they are casted just pressing the mouse button). Could be this the problem? (I have a lot of magicka, btw. More than 300).

OR, I have also SexLab Enchantress (that changes some spells). Could be a conflict?

Everything seemed to work, but I'd get the equip sound over and over again, endlessly for as long as I was wearing the armbinder. Didn't happen with chastity belts and the like, and I didn't see any weird events related to DD in my log.

 

Was that a bug which was fixed, or is it likely something on my end?

But you could try running FNIS first if you didn't do that already.

Equip sound over and over, eh? Sounds like a script is fighting the armbinder, trying to reequip weapons/magic. 

Min: i have noticed thrashing with some unequipped mods/perks.  SPERG makes its unarmed damage work by equipping invisible "Fist" weapons anytime youre not wearing any weapons, which then get removed by cuffs/armbinders/whatever, which then get reequipped by the mod, etc etc etc.  i make a point to turn off these unarmed features in my saves every time, but it probably could be mentioned to people having the equip sounds problem

Didn't think of that possibility yet. That might be the reason as I do have SPERG installed.

Will think of that option if I should encounter this problem again.

New version is up: v2.6.4. 
  •    Fixed important bug introduced by v2.6.3 that could cause mod failure in some cases.

If you are running v2.6.3, I strongly advise that you upgrade to v2.6.4. Just copy over existing files, and continue your existing savegame.

Uh oh... I think I screwed something up with my install of Devious Devices. 

 

I just updated to the latest version, after updating to the latest Sexlab framework. When I started up my game again, I could see that the latest version of Devious Devices was initialized but when I go to it in the MCM, nothing comes up.

 

Did I break it for this playthrough?

I do run SPERG, so this makes a lot of sense. Whenever Sexlab Submit runs, I do see it unequipping my fists, though I don't think it keeps trying to unequip them so when SPERG puts them back, Submit doesn't care. Armbinders do care, so it makes sense I'd be hearing that sound constantly.

 

Thank you for sharing that... I'll definitely turn off that feature the next time I want to use armbinders... or the next time they are used on me, as it seems some mods might be updating to put them on. ;)

Would it be possible/feasible to make an attempt to speak with an NPC while the PC is gagged give a message or play an "mmph" sound to add immersion to the state of being gagged?

I sometimes forget I have the gag on, otherwise.  :3

1) Were you using 2.6.3 before-hand? 

2) Upload a copy of your log.

 

Ran into an ctd while Equiping the posture collar with the 1/1/14 version havent checked the 1/2/14 version yet to see if it was fixed.

Something like that will be added, yeah. Had to release 2.6.(2/3/4) a bit earlier than I wanted, to fix broken aroused compatibility.

So, the first Dwemer item I was supposed to grab is in Aftland. Worked my way down to the arrow and... nothing. Looked around everywhere, can't find it. Is it spawnable?

Min, I went from version 2.6.0 to version 2.6.4.

 

I'll work on getting you a papyrus log. I've never created one before but I'm sure there is a tutorial around for here for that.

I have updated the DD from 2.6.1 to 2.6.4, but I stuck at the quest. I have found three items, but when I have the odd items in Nachardak Reading Room, there isn't show some messages, and "Find the other items that Zad requested" doesn't set to finished, so the quest can't continue. If I setstage zaddforbidentomequest to 40, and meet Zed, when talking finished, nothing happen. and the DD's MCM menu dismiss, but it works fine on the vision 2.61.

Is there anything wrong?

Ok, I'm feeling pretty silly here... Can someone point me in the right direction here for some instructions on creating a papyrus log?
