Deadly Kitten Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 The devices no longer ask for a key to be removed. They come and go as easy as boots or gloves. Anybody knows what is causing this? Most likely, one of two things is going on. 1) you are trying to equip/use something from DDAssets. Try something else, either crafted or bought from Captured Dreams. 2) the item you are using is bugged (which does happen). Try this: go to a player house, find a chest (any chest/barrel will work, but most will respawn after a time, so find one in a player house for safety reasons), open up the console (with the ` key), and click on the chest/barrel. In the bottom left, there will be a numerical code. Type "player.removeallitems [object code]" WITHOUT QUOTES, where [object code] is replaced with that numerical code you took note of earlier. Save your game and reload. Then, loot the chest, take all the items, and try to equip the devious gear again.
Random of Amber Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I'm running into a problem with DDi 2.8.3, where the arms-free horny animation from vibrating plugs don't play. I just get the default half-T pose instead. It's only the arms-free animation (DDZazHornyA). The armbinder animation (DDZaZAPCArmBZaDS01) plays fine. I know I've got FNIS set up correctly, because DDi 2.8.2 works. The output files from FNIS are identical for DDi 2.8.3 and 2.8.2. I get the same problem running FNIS 5.1.1 and FNIS 5.2. I've got a clean installation (I deleted the whole skyrim tree and reinstalled to be sure), and a minimal set of mods (aside from DDi and its prerequisites, just RaceMenu, a hair pack, and the bugfix patches). All of this is using the ModOrganizer 1.2.17 and SKSE 1.7.2. That doesn't really make sense to me. From a scripting point of view, nothing is failing while trying to execute the animation. I don't know why that one particular animation would give you trouble either. Post a copy of your fnis generation log? Here's the log from FNIS. I also tried using the latest commit from github, which works with no issue. GenerateFNIS_LogFile.txt

There are some major changes (Some of which are backwards incompatible). In order to maintain compatibility with the new release of DDi, please review the development thread. If you have a mod based upon DDi and are not in the thread, leave a message and I'll see that you're added.
silthezilla Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Hi guys, I'm pretty nubbish when it comes to this kinda stuff After going back and fourth from skyrim to my NMM i finaly got the game to let me pick up the key and unlock the bookshelf, but when i do, Urag doesn't start the quest, and when i go talk to him there's no conversation to start the quest either. Then when i go to the MCM (if that's the right term for escape menu and in-game mod manager thingy) i dont see anything that has to do with Devious Devices. but the bookshelf, key and little note under the key are all there. i just downloaded like all the most up to date requirements for DDi and the requirements for those requirements as well . Anyone got any ideas where i might be messing up?

It is a bit more interactive than the current struggle with armbinders in DD that rely on a random chance to escape. I'm not sure if it is possible to implement something similar and keep the sexy struggle animations though.

Anyone got any ideas where i might be messing up? The mod isn't working properly if you don't see a "Devious Devices" entry in the MCM menu. DDi not properly initializing was supposed to be fixed, but just to be sure, If you start a new character does it show up for that new character?

Yukashii Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I always have a hard time deciding which blindfold mode to use. On the one hand I like how the DD mode allows you to see animations clearly while still affecting gameplay, on the other hand prefer playing in 3rd person and seeing your character moving around all trussed up. Which made me wonder is some hybrid of the two modes would be possible, where the strength of the blindfold effect was based on how fast you are moving, 0% when standing still, 30% walking, 60% running and 90% sprinting for example. With a system like that being applied in both 1st and 3rd person mode you'd have the best of both worlds, being able to see animations since your standing still then, while having to move slowly to be able to see where you're going.

The thing with the current system is that it isn't necessarily hopeless as you know it will eventually get loose, it is mostly just frustrating and a little boring. (at least for me... hit tab, choose struggle, wait for the sexy animation to run which is great... rinse and repeat until it becomes loose) The mini game has some randomness to it and depending on how hard you made it, could be just as hopeless and frustrating, especially since you know it is your own fault for not figuring out the patterns. It would be amazing if the mini-game somehow forced you to balance between how aroused you became from the struggling with how fast/difficult it was to break free. (eg. if you struggle too fast, you may become too aroused and have to pause your struggles to recover) It is just a thought and either way, I still love the work that is done by the creators of this mod.

However, the slave harness is behaving strangely. After I get the CBelt removed, the harness remans, which seems logical. But even though I cannot unequip it without a key, I can remove plugs through it and NPCs will even have sex through it as if it wasn't there. Is this working as intended? Thanks for any help.

You'll need to edit / recompile zadConfig.psc to permit that value to be set below 20 (or, edit the blindfold script to eliminate the effect altogether).
aspirine2 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 hey ..i had read the know issues but this didn't solve my game.. 1-I unequipped an item, but it's still visually on my character! 2-my character got a mouth gag but doesn't open her mouth 3-my character got an armbinder after being enslaved and struggle interact doesn't loosen it at all no matter how many times tried (from SD) 4-used the unequipall console command to remove the armbinder , got it unequipped but when trying to drop it from inventory it gets equipped automatically on the character. 5-asking npc about removing the arm binders starts the sex act but doesn't get the armbinder removed after choosing the right dialog line sorry can't get screenshot, if this isn't the right topic for my prob please direct me to the right one and thanks in advance

I hate the bound animations and would like to be able to use non-armbinder animations with it, even if it isn't fully "immersive". I remember an old MCM option for disabling the armbinder during sex, but that seems to be missing from the new version.

I remember an old MCM option for disabling the armbinder during sex, but that seems to be missing from the new version. That feature has never existed (Prior to 2.9.0). Check back in a few days for its release.
