Devious devices deviously not showing up

I am having a bit of a problem with the chastity belts. I am not wearing one, nor do i have one in my inventory (at least not visible) but i can not put on the Imperial Legion one. I keep getting the error "It is impossible to wear more than one chastity belt" than one shows up on my character but not in my inventory, help please. I do not feel like losing my Lvl 14 Breton i worked so hard to develop.

DD stores an invisible 'lock' in your inventory along with the item. In theory the item can't be removed or replaced until the lock is removed by a script.

 

On occasion this system breaks and the item will be removed leaving the lock behind. I'm not sure if there are any explicit cleanup options in DD.

 

They way I've handled this in the past is to open the console, enter player.inv, locate the items with no names and use player.removeitem <ID> 1 to remove them where <ID> is the first displayed ID code for the item. There's no easy way to tell which lock belongs to which item so you'll have to just go through them systematically.

 

The locks look something like this:

 

1 - (0D00435E)(100,100.00%) - Worn

---> BAD EDITOR ID (0D00012C6)

 

That first number in the parentheses is the ID you need.

 

Just in case you're not familiar with the console you can use Page Up and Page Down to scroll through long output - and your inventory will generally be very long.

Thank you, tried that and succeeded. I wonder what caused the items to break. Now to obtain a key to my Imperial Chastity belt, Druantia is horny and needs a nice fucking hehe, i am sure she will regret it if caught by her superiors.

I've found vampires to be a good source of keys when nobles' bedrooms come up dry.
