Skyrim patched to 1.9 I think it is might be an issue, IDK.  Pretty stumped otherwise.  I don't think the dirty edits are effecting me and there still in there if that's the case.  Try redownloading.  Try to get sexlab confirmed running with a sex mod without Devious Devices in there.

I have had the framework running with other mods, but anything relying on DD causes the game to CTD after the logo. It's purely limited to DD, and if I turn off the mods that rely on it, the game runs just fine with any other mod I have. Really strange :/

 

As others have said, crashing at the logo means that you're missing a master. tes5edit (Or ModOrganizer) can tell you which file you're missing.

 

Just downloaded tes5edit, and it ran its scan of my master files. It failed with the last few lines:

Also it should be noted that I did disable several of these through the process of trying to solve the problem, and try the mods one by one, and the only ones that cause crashing are the DD dependents. 

 
Edit: also, when it does finish the scan and give me the file loading error, it also pops up with a dialogue box saying something about editing being disabled, but I can't seem to find an option to enable editing.

I don't get it. I downloaded the expansion file, installed it with NMM, manually placed the esm file into my data folder to ensure it was there... so how do I not have it installed? Am I just fucking stupid? I really don't get it.

You have the expansion, which you know, is an expansion for Integration.

Integration. Expansion. Two different words.

You installed the Expansion, which Expands upon DD. You did not install Integration, which integrates the devices in to your game.

 

The Tes5edit message explicitly states which file you're missing..

Shit, I think I figured it out. I didn't download DeviousDevices-v2.8.0.rar because I figured it was the same file as the assets. Really sorry, I'm goddamn stupid. Thanks for wasting your time.

hi everybody...

 

i have an issue with the Forbidden Tome quest... Everytime i start the quest, if i'm playing in 3rd person, when Urag equips me with the chastity belt the game freezes and i have to kill the process and restart... On the other hand, if i'm playing in 1st person everything works perfectly (but i lose all the fun ! :lol: )

 

i don't know if it's an already known issue (honestly didn't read all the 217 pages of the thread) does anybody know what it might depend on ? Is there any solution ?

You have Zaz Animation pack installed?  Did you go to Zaz Ani in MCM and tick off register animations? After that you went to Devious Devices and ticked off register animations?  After that Sexlab and register animations, next you saved, closed game, and finally loaded up game correct?

 

 

 

Sorry for digging up this old post.

Does the animation registration sequence matter? Suppose that I have sexlab, zap, ddi, and another mod foo which also registers some bound animations for dd. After running FNIS and starting a new game, what exactly should I do to make everything is right?

Hi quick question. I used the console to give myself the pierced nipples perk and then applied the soulgem piercings. I think I may have broken a quest by doing it, and while I can add/remove the piercings item w/o any kind of key, they don't show up on my model, or trigger any kind of additional events or dialogues. If I attempt to remove the perk after removing the piercings, the mod crashes and breaks my save, with a message that seems to imply the piercings were still attached and couldn't be removed. Is there a way to fix this via the console, or do I have to newgame (I don't remember how far back I installed them, but it was early on).

 

Yep, the piercings are an in-development feature, as of 2.8.0: Hence, them not being exposed for regular use, through any in-game mechanism. I don't recall the exact state I left them at for the 2.8.0 release, though I can't think of any reason why properly removing them, then removing the perk would fail. This is why I don't encourage the use of the console (And indeed, it is not required for any use-case for DD).

 

 

There is currently a bug in the armbinder mechanic I beleive which causes armbinders to be applied with the same escape status as they were taken off at... what this means is that if you struggle your way ree of an armbinder and some random event re-applies it to you, it will already be sufficiently loosened to free yourself immediately. This can be useful if you keep getting bound and need to get out in a hurry.

 

 

I'm not aware of any such bug. Looking at the code for the armbinders further supports this:

yeah my console fuckery will get me in trouble a lot. TBH I didn't even know it was a DD Integrated feature when I applied it. Some of the mods I use add items but not the readily available means to equip them so I've been using the console to access them.

 

Anyway I kept running into the armbinder bug, and as far as I'm aware the only mods I use with armbinder integration are captured dreams, cursed loot, the sexlab mods defeat/submit, and zenet gagquest. I originallybrought the bug up to the Zenet author since it was the most prominent with that mod, but he said it was lilely a framework issue and couldn't find any issue with his code. Could be some other compat issue in there somewhere, who knows....

Speaking of, and I kinda hate to do this (I apologize in advance), but I wanted to pick people's brain on this issue I've been having here...

 

I'm using a web of DD and SL mods together, and keep running into issues. Specifically Submit, Defeat, Deviously Helpless, and the inter-framework addons Devious Capture, and Submit + DD + FF. I've tried everything to get these to work togethe, but ultimately, every time I load up a new game, one or two of them (seemingly just arbitrarily picked at random) don't work. Since updating to the newest sexlab w/ papyrus 2.6 the CTDs aren't happening anymore, but the mods just aren't working.

 

Like I'll load up a new character, and DH won't trigger at all... nothing. Uninstall and reinstall DH, and now Defeat is unresponsive. Reinstall Defeat, and now Capture and Submit+DD+FF aren't working. Just exiting the game and starting a new game seems to shuffle them around, too, even if I don't change the load order or mods between newgames. I recently had a game where, from the very beginning, DH triggered, but wouldn't equip any bindings, despite having them in inventory and having chance turned up to 100%. I started a new game, and the DD framework didn't load. Started another new game, and DD and DH worked, but defeat didn't... and that's where I'm at now. I've run BOSS, and FNIS after every re-order and install, but most of the DD family of mods aren't in the BOSS masterlist.

 

Does anyone know if there's a sopecific load order that works for these, or known incompatabilities with a viable workaround? I really don't want to give up any of these mods.

 

All the other mods seem to be working w/o issue (except AFT, for some reason... never got it to load...)

Just curious, but i was looking through some of the quests in Devious Deviants and i saw a long list of quests marked "zaddRM". Are these quests implemented or just there? I never actually figured out how those quests activate. How do you go and get those quests?

Sounds to me like your Papyrus is dying under the strain of so many mods simultaneously initializing; In your case, I suggest loading say, 50% of your mods at a time. Once those have initialized, save, then load in the other 50%.

 

Just curious, but i was looking through some of the quests in Devious Deviants and i saw a long list of quests marked "zaddRM". Are these quests implemented or just there? I never actually figured out how those quests activate. How do you go and get those quests?

zaddRM refers to the Radiant Master system I was building (And the associated Surreptitious Streets content). It's an unfinished system, and likely will remain that way indefinitely, sadly.

Hi quick question. I used the console to give myself the pierced nipples perk and then applied the soulgem piercings. I think I may have broken a quest by doing it, and while I can add/remove the piercings item w/o any kind of key, they don't show up on my model, or trigger any kind of additional events or dialogues. If I attempt to remove the perk after removing the piercings, the mod crashes and breaks my save, with a message that seems to imply the piercings were still attached and couldn't be removed. Is there a way to fix this via the console, or do I have to newgame (I don't remember how far back I installed them, but it was early on).

 

Yep, the piercings are an in-development feature, as of 2.8.0: Hence, them not being exposed for regular use, through any in-game mechanism. I don't recall the exact state I left them at for the 2.8.0 release, though I can't think of any reason why properly removing them, then removing the perk would fail. This is why I don't encourage the use of the console (And indeed, it is not required for any use-case for DD).

 

 

There is currently a bug in the armbinder mechanic I beleive which causes armbinders to be applied with the same escape status as they were taken off at... what this means is that if you struggle your way ree of an armbinder and some random event re-applies it to you, it will already be sufficiently loosened to free yourself immediately. This can be useful if you keep getting bound and need to get out in a hurry.

 

 

I'm not aware of any such bug. Looking at the code for the armbinders further supports this:

This function is automatically called whenever an armbinder is equipped on your character, no matter the source. If a custom armbinder were to override this function, it could change this behavior.

 

 

 

 

yeah my console fuckery will get me in trouble a lot. TBH I didn't even know it was a DD Integrated feature when I applied it. Some of the mods I use add items but not the readily available means to equip them so I've been using the console to access them.

 

Anyway I kept running into the armbinder bug, and as far as I'm aware the only mods I use with armbinder integration are captured dreams, cursed loot, the sexlab mods defeat/submit, and zenet gagquest. I originallybrought the bug up to the Zenet author since it was the most prominent with that mod, but he said it was lilely a framework issue and couldn't find any issue with his code. Could be some other compat issue in there somewhere, who knows....

 

Indeed; A discussion on this subject came up earlier tonight, actually. The culprit is Cursed Loot. The author is aware of the problem, and will be releasing an update within a day or two to fix it.

 

 

Kimy has released a new version of Cursed Loot with the fix (as well as new features).

Or anyone willing to walk me through, sorry Im a pain here.

 

I have my CK with the scripts packed into the game folder, and mult masters loaded up.

 

So I'm trying to add a mesh Aradia made into Devices under a new ESP,

 

Copied the Zad Belt PaddedInventory, and ZadScriptInstance objects

Named them

AradiaBeltInventory

AradiaScriptInstance->setup to point at the armor addon that ends in AA

 

The Belt Inventory

-->Cannot find the correct panel to input info to say point to ScriptInstance for Rendering.

 

I know it should be possible I've seen it in TES5edit, but any change there doesn't make a change in the game.

 

I get the feeling this is something that'd take a guy that knew what to do about 5 minutes...I've got almost 10 hours sunk into this.  I could have made gemstone additions to the existing belt with blender and ported it into nifskope by now, getting disappointed here I mean, if I made additions the additions wouldn't show up on normal belts cause of texture but I could attach alternate textures in TesEdit with my object and blam it shows.

 

Help please.

Got some pointers and it turned out that because I'm using Mod Organizer, I hadn't installed every script to the Main Folder due to the way MO works so it took a while to get the downloads and populate the Skyrim main game folders with appropriate mods.

I now have 2 pieces of this new Chastity Set fully functional in game.  It can be seen and all scripts via Devices function properly on the new items :D going to be a bit to get everything finished, turns out Im having to make a few nifskope adjustments but thankfully I know my way around that program.

Is it possible for an optional "Forbidden Bookcase" relocation patch to be created please?

 

If the book display case (behind the librarian's desk) is moved to the long section. It is where there is one chair, several books and/or items on display. This single chair could be relocated elsewhere so it is not lost all together.

 

This patch would help to fix the issue with the with the flicker or some other graphical issue between the two bookshelves. The ones in question are the "Forbidden Bookshelf" and another bookshelf in the same location.

 

In addition the it would make it more easier to be able to locate the forbidden bookshelf.

Hi, thanks, I tried your suggestion but while I got everything to initialize properly, the problem persists, and I cannot get Submit and Helpless working.

 

I'm having a slew of problems with the Sexlab and Devious Devices family of mods, namely Sexlab Defeat (w/ Devious Captures), Submit (with Submit+DD+FF), and Deviously Helpless. Any time I load up a new game, one or two out of the three simply does not work at all, but it seems arbitrary which one. Submit and Helpless seem the most fragile out of these, and reinstalling the broken mod only seems to make things worse by breaking other mods. Does anyone know where the incompatability is, or if there's a fix for it? Or maybe I need a better load order? BOSS doesn't seem to recognize most of the DD family of mods so it just groups them all at the end. I've updated SL and followed all the instructions I could find for compatability in MCM and load order.

Papyrus log attached for my most recent load, in which I reinstalled DH since it wasn't working, and now not only is it still not working, but neither is Submit.

 

I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself. I'm x-posting to the Sexlab and DD framework threads in hopes someone anywhere knows what the issue is, since I've been fighting this for many hours over the last several days and am thoroughly defeated at this point. Thanks for understanding.

P.S., after starting this last new save, everything seemed to work fine until just after the very first time Helpless activated, and after that it wou;dn't work again. I've posted on that thread now, too.

Well, my problem isn't half as bad as I've been reading from others. It's more of an annoyance than a problem. I'm having animation issues. I've got only the Assets and this installed for DD mods. I wanted to test the devices first before committing to the whole slew of the DD mods out there.

 

I run FNIS, get no issues.

 

Put a follower into an Armbinder and get the message "it locks into place" or something like that. Everything looks fine and I'm about to quit out when I see my follower walk to a table, sit down, and grab food and drink with handless arms. Well then .... that's a neat trick.

 

When I check the DD MCM menu and look closely I notice that it says .... Bound Animations? I forget the actual wording now, but the help message below says something about Zap animations being installed and it's set to FALSE. I have no option to set it to True. I have the zaz animations installed, so I'm wondering why I can't change this to true.

 

Last annoyance is: When I console "help harness" for example, I see multiple choices, including an Ebony harness. Well I've found that anything that doesn't have a zad tag in it, will either not appear in my inventory or do nothing at all when put on an NPC. Is this because the Ebony stuff is part of Assets and I'm not running a mod that utilizes it in game?

Ebony Harness is in the Expansion Pack.

 

To get the followers to behave I use Amazing Follower Tweaks,

->It has options like, No follower idle...Which is awesome cause I make a follower stand next to my bed at night with an Orgasmo plugged in, I sleep so much better at night knowing she's having a great time.  Also she'll just stand in place permanently.

 

->Another great feature is "No Chatter" (Also AFT) which only seems to work with Vanilla Followers and only without the "follower commentary mod"..........But I just love to put a gag on them now and then and make them shut up.

 

To get the animations to register you have to go to the ZAZ MCM menu,

Find the register animations in that menu,

->Go now to DD Integration, find the register animations

 

Your not done yet,

->Save your game

->Load your game

 

Your not done yet

->Play your game :D

@desufire you need to increase the amount of slotted NPCs in the config for the items to work on followers.

 

The bound animations need to be registered from Zaz animation pack first.

Zaz Animation Pack

You have to install it and when it's inialized within the MCM Menu, you have to go there, tab "Sexlab" -> "Register animations".

This also will change the bound animations bool of DD.
