it would be nice if we could stay with one solution.

... also it seems to have an even different algorithm. I figured not out what it is, but i am sure that not always the first uploaded image is on the right side.

As a modder with a lot number of mods that have many screenshots i would like to have the order alphanumeric for the picture name. That would give us the most control. Second best solution for me would be the latest picture on the very left side (first pucture that you see). This way the user always see the newest screenshot (mod function) first.

thats the way it used to be

The order of the screenshots for our mods obviously changed again. Now the oldest screenshot is seen at the first position (most left side). For me, that is about the worst order it could be 🥺

It seems I can't win and please everybody. So a decision needs to be made.

I want to settle on a final solution, so let's discuss it here, I guess.

Current options:

1) Ascending oldest to newest, grouped by upload sessions in reverse. (The current edit)

   - This can be boiled down to the oldest upload is shown first, which is helpful for people who want a mod logo displayed in front.

2) Descending newest to oldest, grouped by upload sessions. (The previous and default of IPB)

   - This can be boiled down to the most recent group of uploads being shown in the front, potentially allowing "new features" to be highlighted.

3) Alphanumeric (never been used, but sensible.)

   - Order is altered by the mod author using filenames, but like the current order, it still relies on the mod author caring about this and being aware of it.

My PERSONAL preference would be option 2, as it's the default of the forum software and won't be broken by software updates to the site forums.

Regarding the screenshot order my preference would be:

1. Alphanumeric (never been used, but sensible.) this is my favorite

2. Descending newest to oldest, grouped by upload sessions. (The previous and default of IPB)

3. Ascending oldest to newest, grouped by upload sessions in reverse. (The current edit)

But i think @skömer is right... the most important is to stick with one solution. And i do understand the idea to use the software standard (Ascending oldest to newest, grouped by upload sessions in reverse.)

So, i can live with each solution as long as we keep it 😀

It seems like it would be less work for you, and you have a lot on your plate already. If a mod author likes to use a logo as the 1st image, then they will have to remove it and re-upload after adding new images.

I don't have any mods here, but on mods I'm tracking I prefer to see the newer images first - especially when there are several images.

Let's say the images are displayed in ascending order from left to right.

If the uploader named the images sequentially (e.g., 001.jpg, 002.jpg, etc.), they should appear in that order in the gallery.

If you later replace 003.jpg with an updated image of the same name, will it stay in the same position in the gallery?

Right! At least that would be my definition of "Alphanumeric".

Is it just me, or did Lover slab start opening at the bottom of the webpage for anyone else?

I'm sure happy to be unique and special, but I like reading from the top down... How can I fix my personal problem?

Is it bots that are creating new accounts and reposting something from Reddit verbatim?  The most recent example is here.  These Reddit posts get duplicated here within a minute of account creation.

I have no answer to your question. However, I can attest to the fact that the Staff here on LL removes them as fast as they can. To you, and to all members, please keep Reporting them using the Reporting system already in place.

So recently Zomboid has been getting extra attention from modders, and I'm wondering if it's finally enough to earn zomboid a dedicated thread, there's a fair few nice mods now.

Very good question from Leytea, I always wanted to ask the same for Enlit3d fames HRT and HR2. We already have more than 52 mods for HR2 only.

Another question would be... IF we get a dedicated new thread... would it be possible to "move" the existing mods to that new thread?

There is probably some kind of connection problem right now.

You can do spoilers manually.

Type [ spoiler ] no spaces

Insert image or whatever here

Type [ / spoiler ] with the forward slash but no spaces

Good afternoon. Please tell me why, when opening almost any cyberpunk mod, I see the message "Sorry, you aren't allowed to download this file.". Is this related to any user requirements or file access?

@Ashal Great work, hope you didn't lose any sleep. Was there a diagnosis of why that bot attack was happening (or how it was infiltrating the site)? 👀
