DrSeptimus Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Would "Edit Details Silently" have the option for you to upload screenshot in the near future? I don't want my mod to be mark update all just because I upload new screenshot into it.
strapped_24_7_365 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Image uploading still seems to be suffering issues. Tried several times in both .jpg & .png to upload an avatar. Eyes left, you see what I get instead. No matter the format, image is < 68kb as shown (jpeg). A half dozen times over, this is the result. Made certain to flatten the .png, then manually forced removal of alpha ch. No change aside from what color is assigned when it corrupts the file, none of which remotely resembles what I uploaded. Mebe my upload is too risque. Lmao, someone else has a similar avatar of the same family stripe, so I doubt it's that.
Nevadathehighelf Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) Ok. So this site is having like some MAJOR availability issues man. Insane issues as in, 'it's basically broken' issues. It freezes constantly like dial up, it constantly struggles with stability for even the most simplest of tasks, like posting an image. Comments posted take ages to actually post, only to glitch out and double post. It keeps saying, "You can't post an image" and telling me to use url code...When that's literally how we've been posting images on loverslab. And even when I use a url code, images just simply don't show and are invisible, wtf? I'm definitely concerned for the future of loverslab when these issues have been persisting for going on a year now, maybe even two. But they've only gotten much worse since then. It's a shame, because the community is nice, but the site is just simply put oudated, and unstable. Edited February 8 by Nevadathehighelf
Gukahn Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Maybe we can all agree on that everyone other than mod authors should be told to upload their images on external sites. The amount of pictures being uploaded on LL the past couple days is insane and probably one of the reasons for it.
Ashal Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 One of the file servers died a few days ago, so the remaining server is pulling double duty while I wait for the datacenter support to intervene. 5
Seeker999 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I don't usually use an external site for images, but I convert screenshots from .png to .jpg (I do this for myself anyway, after I'm done deciding what to keep). In paint, I resize the .jpg I want to upload to 40%. This way I can quickly turn a ~3mb file to a 120-140kb file for uploading. That's what works for me, anyway. 2

That's a great practice. I am doing the same while uploading external. I am sharing a ton of pictures and resizing and converting them really helps with uploading time too. Plus I edit them anyway, might as well do that step too 🤔
Grey Cloud Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) I've always converted from png to jpg whatever the forum. LL should just remove png as an accepted format/file type to force the issue. Also people should have to pass a spoiler test before they can post anything. Edited February 9 by Grey Cloud 3
gdfll Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Operasetup.exe I get it (not always) downloaded (2 copies) when visiting this site. Why ? and how to prevent this highly undesirable behavior.

A few days ago upon connecting to the website it and X-ing the pop-under/new-tab ad it downloaded two .vsp files which were stopped by defender as malicious. The name of the file was clearly malware. Named something stupid like "OnlyFans_full_download". Really unnerving. Surprised no one else is talking about it. Maybe the ads you run need to be looked into?

Ah, glad to hear, that other people also have this problem. For me, 'avg_secure_browser_setup.exe', 'avast_secure_browser_setup.exe', 'OperaSetup.exe' and 'OperaGXSetup.exe' were automatically downloaded over the last weeks, when I opened the Loverslab site. Is this done by some malicious advertisements, or do you get redirected to a fake Loverslab site, when Google'ing Loverslab ? I find this very alarmingly, Ashal should try to find out, what's going on. 1
Popular Post Ashal Posted February 25 Author Popular Post Posted February 25 You may notice recent download files from Feburary 24th 2026 to ~2020 failing to download. I would like to assure everyone that this is a temporary issue and is being resolved as quickly as possible. During a transfer to a new file server to improve site performance, a mistake was made (for which I feel sufficiently stupid), and several years of uploads to the download section were mistakenly deleted. THANKFULLY, there is a backup, and those files are not lost. They will be restored over the coming days as they are transferred. Restoring these downloads, however, will take some time. So, for the next few days, I want to give a heads-up that many files from the past ~5 years will unfortunately be temporarily inaccessible. I can't apologize for this enough and take full responsibility. While full restoration will take a few days, I will do what I can to alleviate the issue as much as possible in the meantime. I have prioritized transferring the files from the past 4 months first, and they should now be largely accessible. Files older than that will come back online over time. 24

ayy710420 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Don't sweat it. Mistakes happen. At least there is a backup :)
deff. Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Noticed, that site became faster and not lagging anymore - at this time site for me was very slow. Big thanks whatewer you have done with all this! Excellent!
NCK30 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 You are allowed hundreds of fuck ups Ashal for your contribution to Skyrim. It will be nice to see LoversLab be faster. I would gladly wait 2 weeks for a faster site. 3
travelmedic Posted February 25 Posted February 25 We appreciate everything you do for us and the site Ashal. I don't think you get to hear that nearly often enough. 8
wild_guy Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Don't worry too much @Ashal, I think everybody can wait understanding how much you did for us. It is a relief that there is a backup to restore. 1
Darkening Demise Posted February 25 Posted February 25 The site hasn't loaded this fast in years....it....feels weird. So used to the dial up loading speeds. Its actually nice now. 2
Popular Post Ashal Posted February 26 Author Popular Post Posted February 26 Missing downloads should all be restored now. 21
ShineXXX Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I sent two support tickets to the site admins, in regards to missing private messages. Neither of them received a reply.
