My only real complaint here is when I try to search for something and it tells me that I have to wait.

Oh, and the unbelievable amount of users with attitude problems.

I can tolerate users with attitude problems. The internet... well, it's place. I've generally accepted that there will people with high opinions of themselves or those who have gone far too long without some good ole' wink-wink-nudge-nudge. Trolls and morons will abound everywhere. I like to ignore them; the last thing I want is to give them any form of attention or validation, and its certainly the last thing they deserve.

But that search engine function absolutely needs some work. Some better filtering options would be a start. I can get by with it being such as it is, but it would be nice to be able to search for stuff a bit more intuitively, and without the 'Wait 5 Minutes" stuff.

See, I can handle assholes because I deal with some of the most entitled dipshits in the world at my job. I work at a retail store, and I deal with Karens on a daily basis. My problem is that there are users here who go out of their way to be as confrontational as possible, yet it seems like nothing is done about them. Threads get shut down because these people have to cause drama because, apparently, they have nothing better to do than act like a bunch of cunts to others on the internet. For example, I made a thread about which Elder Scrolls protagonist would win in a free-for-all fight, and one user had to be a dick to others for no apparent reason other than to be a dick.

This, I can agree with. It's annoying when I'm trying to browse and have to deal with that.

> "Enter" is broken in writing messages in the Message box. Pressing "Enter" in the Message box while writing, select a big portion of text, and delete it.  "Undo" button returns deleted text. The "Enter" key also doesn't let me insert letters and words when I go up in the text, wanting to add things I didn't write earlier. Exiting the message and reentering fixes the "Enter" problem, but only temporarily.

It's been said before, including by one of the moderators, that the best way to search here is to use your favorite general internet search engine. That's what I do. That's what you should do.

Here again I must ask for an "Allow" button before any other user can follow or message you.

Someone followed me who I don't know and have had no contact with, and now I am being followed by a user who just joined two hours ago, who has not liked any of my posts, who I have had no contact with.

I really do not wish to disable this function as I have other followers I have interacted with and I do not mind them following me.

If it can be disabled then there should be a function to allow, disallow messages and followers.

A permission to message me, follow me.

It just makes sense.

These who followed me so quickly have an infatuation for that which they have not even attempted to get to know, after which they may not have jumped so soon.

Thank You for Serious consideration on this matter.

I think the ignore feature essentially covers what you want. Someone messages you and you don't like what they said or even the mere fact that they had the temerity to message you? Add them to ignore.

I politely disagree.

I know it's taken a long time, but I think I've finally found a fix for the annoying "temporarily broken image upload" issue that works. I fixed it earlier today, but I didn't want to say anything for fear of jinxing it since sometimes it could come and go. However, it's consistently worked as I've tested it throughout the day.

Summer vacation for the kids. Got to love it. Don't worry there is a 'confirm you are 18 old' button 😉.

Okay, so, I haven't played Fallout 4 in a few years, and decided, what with most mods now being updated to support NG, it was time to fire it up again.  And I came back to find a shitstorm.  I don't see it as having been mentioned here, so either its been censored off the thread or nobody has directly asked.  I bet you can guess what its about.

Why is Loverlab not only allowing, but actively promoting, any reference to a software framework that is known to bundle malware in it?  And by malware, I mean software that creates an artificial incompatibility that will intentionally cause software running on my computer to fail to function?  Why have all references to this software not been scrubbed?  This practice cannot be allowed to go on, surely?

What I do on my personal computer in a single player game is nobody's business but my own, and anyone who tries to dictate otherwise should be shown the door immediately and permanently.

Yeah, it's annoying that I have to have my dad come click the button for me.

EDIT: Sometimes people make comments about disc space. So what I wonder is this. When a person quotes a post, does the new post contain just some kind of reference to the post it's quoting, or does it copy the post it's quoting? I don't know how all the technical jiggery-pokery works, but I have always assumed the quoting post contained a reference to the quoted post, not a copy. But then I realized that if a poster quotes a post and then the poster of the quoted posted edits the quoted post, the edits are not reflected in the quoting post. So if a post quotes another post with a large image, is that image duplicated in the quoting post?

That depends on how it is scripted. Info can be stored as a link or as full text.

That's pretty much my question. The important part is not "text." Making a copy of the text when we quote a post is no big deal. It might be a big deal, or become a big deal, if the quoting post copies images from the quoted post.

You don't have to quote the entire post. Just highlight a section of text you consider relevant and then you should see 'quote selection'. You still have the reference to the original post but your reply is less cluttered.

If you have questions or comments about different sections of a post, you can perform 'quote selection' several times. For example,

You are so missing my point. I am not asking for advice or a "how to."

Click the 3 dots at the top right of the first message and it's there in that menu.

Thanks for the heads up, though, will deal with the ones mentioned.

When I try to upload gifs in the screenshot section of a file, I keep getting a white screen and a "Bad Gateway" error. I'm not sure if the site is overloaded or if the loading process just automatically interrupts after some time. The gifs I'm trying to upload are between 5-10 MB, which is below the suggested maximum limit of 19 MB. Maybe it is possible to add support for WebM extensions? They could be less heavy than gifs.

Hey yall don't know if your still having this issue but I believe Ashal she disabled gifs a while back to free up space on the servers. I haven't uploaded gifs on here in a long time cause of it. 😊

Gifs can still be used as screenshots for downloads. Uploading GIFs, though, can still be buggy. Imagemagick (the image processing tool for the server) can struggle sometimes with complex GIFs.  Depending on the GIF, it can sometimes take a long time to be processed, and as a result, either timeout or cause errors. Even if it's still within the size limit for uploading, using fewer frames, lower resolution, or lower quality/color depth settings on the GIF can help significantly in avoiding such issues.

why the hell do I have to use an incognito tab to access the site? I use chrome, if it matter. If I don't use an incognito tab, it loops human verification.
