Otherwise there's no getting around it. Trying some things and then thinking it's working is not going to help. It can appear to be working and the problem will bite you later on. Usually a corrupt save will not immediately effect you. A tool like resaver does not fox the root cause. It also does not detect the problem, only the symptoms that come later.

 

And no its not about script heavy mods, its about changing the load order. Mods address other mods based on that order, does not matter the size of the mod. Script heavy just means its doing more, so better chance of running into trouble, but the cause of the trouble can easily come from removing or adding a tiny mod, unless its put at the end of your load order.

Thanks again for the reply. Well, I am aware about that if you put things back to as they used to be prior to uninstallation of the mod on the same save file. But, what I was trying to say is, that I have uninstalled it, then I used that save and kept playing. I have made at least one week progress on that save since then. At this point, my save is most likely condemned and Im guessing there is no chance to get it to work with this again. Oh well.

looks like i have to install this mod at game start. but i want to start the mod at a certtain point in my game, near by the end. is there a way to prevent the mod from start once it is installed ?

I believe in the MCM you can find a checkbox to put the mod's functions on hold.

Put Story Start On Hold (last tab in the MCM) - Stops any quests from starting till you turn this off, assuming you turn this on before any quest starts.

True for any mod (if includes a plugin), unless you can place the mod at the end of your load order. See Golden Rule.

 

So in this case, you can add SLaVE mid play though, only at the end of the LO, so long as you don't' have other mods that need to come after it. It's impossible to place Toys at the end of your LO, thus it would have to be there in advance, and you'd be starting a new game when it was first added.

Busy / Events On Hold Mode - will put events on hold, not stop quests. Useful for not being interrupted during say a long scene of another mod, like being in prison.

Hey, i encountered an issue,

 

the virgin tattoo overrides nearly every overlay i have on my pc's skin, Dirt ( keep it clean) , Blood ( Dirt and Blood ) and Slacs.

is this a known problem? and is there a way to work around this with a patch of some sort?

It's known that mods doing overlays will fight with each other, yes. There's multiple tattoos there, that reflect status. You can turn them off on the Toys & Tats tab, in the MCM.

Hi there, 

 

Just start using this mod to add to my...experience since CD's is no longer working and I must say I'm loving this mod. fantastic work and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next!

The only note of feedback i have is the spit device in the daedra worship room it doesn't seem to trigger properly for me. I'm not sure if its an alignment issue or something else but it has worked properly once. its a minor thing but I wanted to offer something from my experience to help! :)

  1. Do you mean the one that impales you first, or the one that roasts you? (omg these evil sick things my husband made me add to this mod :P )

  3. Could you describe more specifically what "doesn't seem to trigger properly" means? What do you see, or expect to see but not see? Visual glitch or getting stuck, etc.
  4. Do you have a follower mod that managed to bring your follower in there with you? I'm wondering if the random occurrence is a follower bumping into you.
  5. Could we get a screen shot, if you recreate it again? Rebirth scene does reoccur if you are naughty and lose your virginity again, so you will be back :P
  6. If you have a save where you can go back and try the exact same thing again, could you try using Player Reset in the MCM Misc tab, before letting the scene start, and see if it makes a difference. Theory here is the player is in some screwed up state before you start

By coincidence its about the same sick things my husband made me put in the mod, being discussed in the post above :P I've never seen that scene soooooo vividly described. The things you put in my mind, that now can never be removed! And playing that scene in the future, will never be the same again. Thank you for corrupting me. Nooo, I'm still innocent, and shall choose the fast and painless option!

about the old sexlab animation you still need in the mod. would a slal pack do it ? please list the animations you need so we can make a pack. thanks

You are referring to this... right ?

Known Mod Conflict: SexLab - Remove Standard Animations - will break Toy's Spontaneous Orgasm

 

Which is for Toys. SLaVE does use those from Toys too.

 

If you were to make a SLAL pack, that would be great. I'm almost certain that would be an alternate solution that would work. I'd link to it or include it on the download page, if you wanted.

 

Careful though. In many cases, the alignment adjust feature of sexlab is in use (I say that in general, no idea if in these ones), and would have to be known and be included in the SLAL Pack. I've never made a pack before, it would take me some time to do myself, and I don't know where to find the alignment adjustment numbers.

 

These are the only animations used. Needs the complete set for each, I've just given you the first one of each set. So its maybe about 50 animations. You'd have to ensure the names stay identical.

The on that impales, looks like its based off the old milking machine models though when it did impale the spit also worked .

it did take a couple of times, I've been periodically saving as I'm sure I've got some conflicts with older mods. i cant say exactly but i had to reload about 6-7 times before it worked after worship.

Sure, it will show my character moving up to the Impaler and stepping into it but will just stand there with nothing happening.

no follower turned up but i do use troubles of heroine with the my fan follower.

How would i use the player reset? bit of a silly question I've had some issues with MCM not loading all the mod menus.

i hope that helps. its really stable from what I've gone through which for me is surprising given my mishmash of mods, the other issue I've noticed and i don't think its due to this mod but maybe a body slide issue is some body clipping with some items and floating nipple piercings. 

I am wondering though after playing through a lot of the nocturnal stuff if for the daedric shrine worship animations if youll be adding a small shrine or something infront of the statue to worship directly instead of what looks like grinding on nothing if that makes sense? for example the nocturnal statues you worship could be perfect for some leg grinding?

 

of course i have no experience with mod creation and given how good this is already i dont want to make it more difficult for you :)

So here's our data:

  • It can work, given many tries, so the fail is random, but often. So it's an external factor causing this
  • Its animation related. Failure point is the furniture entry animation. There is no script involved here to go wrong. Nothing will be in the log
  • We seem to have a fairly mod heavy environment, maybe lag and such

Possible causes:

  1. install of animation related mods. Check for up-to-date skeleton. Make sure not using some obscure body. Make sure FNIS not generating errors. If Nemesis and/or DAR are involved, try without them (easier said than done). Use TroubleShooting #3
  2. Lag. If you are doing a new playthrough, maybe reduce your load
  3. Corrupt save. See Golden Rule. If a new playthough means new game, this would rule that out so long as no rule breaking after starting

My bet would be its 2 and 3 together. But 3 can be the cause of 2, rather than heavy load of mods

You just click it and exit the menu. I don't think its going to be the ticket though.

 

MCM not loading points to #3 above. If MCM loads fine on new game, but not fine with your save, the save has problems. In the inverse, its an install or mod problem. This is very "tell tale" that things are not well.

Trouble shoot that by first using the FAQ #1, in Toys. Would need more details to help further. Specific toy. Screenshot is good.

Sure I might. SLaVE uses animations liberally, all over the place, and I'm no animator so I'm just using stuff out there, often for things they were not intended for. Animation creation is very time consuming, but the real solution to refining many SLaVE scenes, is new, "made for", animations. That's not likely gonna happen.

My "something else" vote should be interpreted as "all of the above," as when I start a new game I frequently change up my race/sex/playstyle and I prefer not losing tons of features based on those decisions.

 

On an unrelated note, the first chapter of Monywyr's story is up. Might get a second one later tonight...

I should mention then... if you change gender using a mod that does a transformation while playing...

  • toy compatibility check will recognize your new gender immediately (like when it lets/prevents the equip of a toy). But it's not going to suddenly repel the toys off your body :P
  • Sounds and animations however, will not update to the new gender till you load a save
  • text/context of story, we don't have any yet (its just neutral in toys and disaster in SLaVE lol) will likely be same as sounds

I'm doing this because it seems critical for the toys, but too much script for a rare event to do it everywhere. There's no "I changed my gender" event to just capture.

The MCM has the Toys Tab. There you pick the default that Nocturnal will equip on first meeting for each toy. Or you can use it to change and swap after at anytime. And the initial default is already essentially the Bratty. Its actually Insignia, because Bratty does not cover the whole set. So essentially you get to determine exactly your preference already.

got another bug report but nothing to serious i think. 

 

on the erotic asphyxiation quest on the 7k steps there has been some consistent animation lock for the exhaustion but i can skip it using the mcm reset you pointed me to before. 

it seems to happen on the top three statues more than any other i dont know if its to do with the uneven terrain or not but there were also times where the player is moved to the top of a nearby pillar when dancing and when exhausted.

 

another one i have that i think is down to compatibility with the temple of dibella mod is wheres no worship option for dibellas shrine

When its "sometimes" like this, its most often going to be an external factor. 

  1. I'm assuming "animation lock" means the character is locked in place, the player controls cannot be used to move. That correct?
  2. What happens if you use the advance hot key (space bar by default) to skip the scene instead of reset in the MCM? Does that end it too?
  3. Have you hacked/modified/patched your Sexlab installation at all? For example the Remove Standard Animations mod, or something else changing the presence of animations normally available?
  4. Any errors when you rerun the FNIS build? Have you tried re-running it?
  5. Are all animation components installed correctly and up-to-date, such as skeleton? In your case it would have to be something rather subtle. Troubleshooting #3 gives you all the steps to check this. 
  6. Are you getting "animation lock" for anything else? I'd expect you will eventually see it elsewhere, at least for exhausted, unless we solve this

If 3, 4, or 5, don't reveal the problem, I'd like to see your papyrus log if you don't mind to spend the time. A log where you:

  • made a save in front of one of the statues
  • start up the game and load that save
  • make sure Toys MCM Misc - Log is set to at least verbose / SLaVE MCM - first tab - Verbose Log is on
  • let the scene play through, locked in place recreated, you break out of it (reset or advance hot key), and then exit to desktop
  • Grab that log for me. How to get the log is in the FAQs in case you need

Yes that's listed in the mod conflicts and also Troubleshooting #17 with a solution, but you'd be starting a new game as it needs a load order change.
