Ashal Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Hey hey guys, problem here but after updating and then after I load the game it say that I'm missing Papyrus v2.7 etc. I know I have this installed and have re-installed SL, SKSE and re-run FNIS just in case. Is there anything I'm missing of doing wrong? See this post http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16623-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v159b-updated-0915/?p=925396 for possible solution if it applies to you. Yeah, strangely this error still occurs, I've even tried to disable SoS yet still the same message. Hmmm :/ well, if all else fails, you can always download the papyrusutil file and place it below SOS and Sexlab. But seriously, placing SOS above Sexlab should fix it. Sorry to be a pain but yeah, this thing still ain't working. Nothing here does. Anymore suggestions? Disclaimer: This rant is not 100% directed at you, I'm just fully tired of seeing people complain about this error as if it's somehow a problem with SexLab and need to vent it. Offers of suggested solutions included. If the game is complaining about missing or outdated Papyrusutil, than it is missing or outdated. You have as a matter of fact, installed it wrong. Sorry to be blunt, but it as simple as that. Similarly, though in a slightly different manner, with different solutions, this all also applies to the error people complain about with their FNIS being outdated. It may not necessarily be your fault that it's installed wrong, but it is still installed wrong. You may have (hopefully) followed directions, but everybodies computer plus Skyrim install is different and there is no accounting for all possibilities for all people. There is simply no room for error to occur here on the side of the plugin itself. It's a simple check of "Hey PapyrusUtil, what's your version number?" If it responds with a number less than 27, or in the case of missing is responded with with an empty zero, than you are not running PapyrusUtil 2.7 or newer. There is no reasonable margin for error here, that's not how computers works. Here is SexLab's PapyrusUtil check that displays the error. ; Check PapyrusUtil install - depends on passing SKSE check passing elseIf PapyrusUtil.GetVersion() < 27 CheckPapyrusUtil.Show(2.7) return false Now here is PapyrusUtils' GetVersion() function. unsigned int GetVersion() { return 27; } Now unless somebody can explain to me how I'm wrong and there is a scenario where in our existing base 10 number system 27 < 27 is true making SexLab's check a false positive, then the only explanation is you are missing the plugin entirely resulting in either SexLab doing a 0 < 27 indicating it's missing, an outdated install resulting in a 26 < 27 or 25 < 27 and so on. The problem is not with SexLab, it is with you (the royal you, not aiming this at anybody in particular.) Are we over and done with putting SexLab or other mods at blame for this now and accept that the problem lies elsewhere then? Good, here's some possible fixes you can try in no particular order: If you use the Schlongs of Skyrim and Mod Organizer, put SexLab lower on the mod list to give it a higher priority. SexLab includes the newest and correct version of PapyrusUtil, SOS includes 2.6 which is outdated. MOD LIST, not PLUGIN LIST - the mod list is the left pane which dictates file priority order, things checked in this list with a higher priority will overwrite the files of other mods if they have the same files. Look at your install of SexLab in Mod Organizer in the mod list, check the flags column, if it has a lightning bolt with a red -, or a bolt with a green + and a red -, you have files overwriting SexLab's files. Open up the information pane for SexLab and look at conflicts, if StorageUtil, ActorUtil, MiscUtil, PapyrusUtil, JsonUtil, or really anything in the scripts or SKSE folder in the bottom pane signifiying they are being overwritten by another mod, SexLab needs to be given higher priority or the offending mods given a lower priority. The ONLY files that are acceptable for a mod to be overwriting from SexLab resulting in the bolt with red - flag is sound or texture replacer mods. Install the latest version of PapyrusUtil manually by download papyrusutilv27.zip from http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/484-papyrusutil/ Make sure it installs AFTER any mod that includes PapyrusUtil packaged with it, such as SexLab and SOS. Meaning put it at the bottom of your Mod List in ModOrganizer, or if you still use NexusModManager for some reason, than you'll need to reinstall papyrusutilv27 after anytime you install another mod that includes it in order to ensure you overwrite their version with the newer version. Disable any anti-virus programs you might have running, they could be silently preventing the dll files from SKSE plugins like PapyrusUtil from being moved or placed in the folder it needs to be in order to "protect you" Run your mod manager of choice as an Adminstrator and reapply the SexLab update and/or re-install the papyrusutilv27 itself manually while in this mode. Start and load your game, after you get the error about PapyrusUtil being out of date, quit Skyrim and look for a file called "PapyrusUtilDev.log" file in same folder where your Skyrim.exe and skse_loader.exe folder are located. Don't confuse it with the "PapyrusUtilDev.log0" file which is the previous file before the .log one you actually want. You want the file corresponding directly to the game load you just quit out of, relaunching the game will result in a different file. If the file does not exist, than the plugin isn't even being loaded. Does the log file say anything beyond "Loading" - if not than the plugin never finished loading, either because you never loaded a save file for this version of the log or because it errored out somewhere. Check the log for any other signs of errors. Start and load your game, after you get the error about PapyrusUtil being out of date, quit Skyrim and look for the file "Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SKSE\skse.log". Accounting for whatever you Skyrim's steam installpath is, look for these two lines in the log file: checking plugin C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\StorageUtil.dll plugin C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\StorageUtil.dll (00000001 papyrusutil plugin 00000001) loaded correctly Check your papyrus debug log, which I've reiterated people should do be doing as a first step for any problems with Skyrim time, and time, and time again. Search it for errors related to being unable to bind native function, PapyrusUtil, StorageUtil, or sslSystemConfig. If the plugin is indicating a failure to load in any of the previous suggestions, try make sure you windows has installed all the updates it may have been pestering you to reboot for for months, and install the mvsc 2008 redistributable (Google it)
Ashal Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 I don't know if it's a problem with my game or with framework 1.59b : - "Arrok Sideways Fuck" animation : up/down and forward/back adjustments are moving the actor on the same axe (both using keys or the mcm menu). - "Arrok Devils Threeway" animation : this time forward/back and left/right are moving the actor on the same axe. - Tried an AP animation (don't remember the name), adjustments worked fine. I haven't tried adjusting other animations yet. Also I have had to restore animation registry in the mcm menu, could it be the cause of my problem ? Hotkey " [ " begins the adjustment, next hotkey " k " selects actor to be adjusted, actors name will appear in upper left. When finished press R Ctrl . Pressing R Ctrl does nothing with finishing adjustments, holding it or L Ctrl down while MAKING adjustments will make it apply those adjustments solely to that stage of the animation, as opposed to the default behavior of adjustments which affect ALL stages of the animation. Pressing L will nudge an actor forward slightly across all stages of that animation, pressing CTRL+L will nudge an actor forward slightly across only the active stage of the animation. Most animations use pretty uniform offsets and the same adjustments will work good, or atleast close to good, across all the stages, CTRL is for when that isn't the case and you need to make separate adjustments between the stages. You also don't have to press [ before starting adjustments either, the [ key just tells the actors to check what their alignment should beand automatically adjust accordingly if they aren't in position. Though it is a very good idea anyway to press it before starting adjustments as it makes sure you are starting your adjustments from what SexLab thinks should be their starting point, which if they aren't than any saved adjustments you make from that wrong location will just make the next time you play that animation that much more wrong.
B0ss plz Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Wow, thanks for taking the time to write that all out, I'll try these and get back to you's.

Since SexLab stores individual adjustments per stage, shouldn't this be the default adjustment mode? I mean, if the function of RCTRL key were the other way around, wouldn't it be more convenient? Here's an example scenario, let's assume that there are 4 stages and only in one of them the animation is off and needs adjustment. If I adjust that particular stage without holding down the RCTRL key, all other stages will become unaligned. However, if the key's behavior were the other way around, adjustments I made to that stage will not affect the others and I won't have to press and hold the RCTRL to adjust that specific stage. Of course, you can hold down the RCTRL key from start to finish, but it's a bit less convenient IMO.

Of course, you can hold down the RCTRL key from start to finish, but it's a bit less convenient IMO. In my experience most animations end up using roughly the same adjustments for every stage. If an actor needs to be moved up by 5 presses in stage 1, they usually need to be moved up 5 on stage 2 as well. So making it the default behavior to only affect stage would be tedious and annoying the vast majority of animations. The uncommon case is adjustments needing wildly different adjustments between stages, not the other way around, so makes more sense to make the uncommon scenario the one that requires an extra key presses. Since this is the default behavior, unless you find yourself having redo adjustments every stage on the majority of animations, adjusting one stage and then having to similarly do the reverse on the following stage, than this current behavior has been correct.

THAT was the information I was searching for. Or, to be more precise, happily stumbled upon. Didn't know that it even was possible to edit offsets of single animation stages. Cool!
nightdweller7 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Can anyone tell me what the StorageUtil.save file is in the SKSE plugin folder? I'm not sure why it was there or what it was used for.
ButchDiavolo Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 so... *NEWSFLASH* I just saw the new Zyn 4-way in action in Skyrim! And it is... AWESOME. backstory: I was in Castle Dour on my playthrough of the Civil War (for the Imperials this time) and after General Tullius had done his little speech and gave me my orders, I heard running footsteps. This means that the mod Random Sex deemed it time to be cowpoked manhandled again. So 1 guard appeared, then 2, then 3? and then... 4?! At first I thought I made a mistake somewhere and installed a conga line mod, but no... it started the brandnew 4 way animation! huzzah! I was so sticky surprised that I came to the forum to tell you (all) about it, since I thought there were no mods that could use the 4way yet. I feel so special now - V.
aravis7 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 After some testing I can confirm that the rotating problem has nothing to do with IFP, it only happens when I use TFC hotkey (no problems with console+tfc). I don"t know if I'm the only one with this bug : / I've also seen that you've completely replaced the arrok cowgirl in the latest hotfix. Although the new one is spectacular : ) perhaps you could reintroduce tho old one because it was slightly different (diversity is always good^^).

I've only been able to replicate it while using IFP with turn actor option enabled in profile. I've specifically tested TFC hotkey in the hotfix as that was one of the things broken in 1.59b and did not have any rotating issues at all, and if you are in TFC than your character would be locked in place regardless of anything SexLab, if you have rotating character issues while in free camera than you have some other issue (my money's still on IFP).
RitualClarity Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Thanks for the great mod, Ashal! Bit of a noob question here: Is there a more efficient way of testing/editing two- and three-person animations than using MatchMaker and just waiting for a specific animation to cycle around? You could disable all the unneeded animations. Seems the simplest way to me. Is there an easy way to check the animations to be able to tell which ones you want and those that you don't? There are so many there I can easily remove a few and still have a great variations. AS it is now I keep cycling through the animations until I find one that I like for that situation.
LibertyPrime Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Figured I would post this here. I am pretty sure this is not an issue with SexLab but with the game itself, but if anyone has any suggestions how to solve it, be my guest. My issue is that if I am looking at an item or at someone before sex starts, the "(Default Use Key) Talk" or "(Default Use Key Use)" does not go away. Is there a way to avoid that without having to use TM every single time?
TheHuntress1970 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Thanks for the update! Everything seems to be running a lot smoother for me in this regard... For example in Dangerous Nights I used to always be told that I was assaulted and then have the NPC walk away, walk back and then the action would start. Now, it's all one smooth - compared to before - event!
dhkLover Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 HELP!!!! I've followed the instructions to the letter for this framework but somehow my game keeps crashing as soon as the sex animation is about to start. Apart from the framework I have 2 active plugins namely "Sexlab Defeat" and "Sexlab Submit". I have checked the support topics for these plugins and they do not conflict. I am attaching my Papyrus Log, My Load Order and FNIS Report with this post. Kindly help me out and correct me if I have done something wrong. Secondly, after playing the game for a while when I save and quit Skyrim and then try to reload my save again I get a CTD. P.S. I use LOOT for my load order optimization and I used a similar framework for Fallout New Vegas i.e. "Sexout" and I didn't have any problems with that. The last point is just for reference that I'm not a newbie FNIS Report.txt
Forgotten Soul Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Well first things first, you're using a pirated version of Skyrim, so that might be a problem. Now, I'm no expert, but uninstalling and re-installing the plug-ins helped me with this problem and it may help you.

B0ss plz Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Wow, thanks for taking the time to write that all out, I'll try these and get back to you's. Alright, alright, alright; the problem here was indeed the papyrus... kind of. Back when I said that I've already installed papyrus was true, however it never worked I guess since I installed it manually. Using mod manager I installed the papyrus file yet that still didn't work. The solution was stupidly simple. Get this; on list on the left side of the mod manager shows your plugins, I never saw papyrus on the list at all even when I manually installed it. What I did was dragged my cursor down to the box underneath the mod list next to the name filter, clicked it and chose "categories" this bought up a new list and there it was. The papyrus file left unchecked this was my whole problem this whole time. I hope this helps anyone who has had the same problem.

WizzyD Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 so is it just me or is the di animation kinda finicky at the end. like the three way doesn't do the push/kick at the end. the 2 other actors on each end would just stand up and do nothing. while the character in the middle is just going along with the show. is it supposed to do that?

Would love to help you but... http://www.loverslab.com/topic/292-rules/?p=6248 Rule #6 makes it pretty clear that since yours is a pirate version of the game we are obligated to not help you. It's a shame you missed the sale on Steam last weekend since the whole Legendary Version of the game was available for less than five dollars. Why should we care about your not buying the game? Because it costs money to create these games and the people who did that work deserve to be rewarded for their work so they will continue to create new games like this. Come back with your questions when you have a legal copy of the game.
