Sitting on Santa's lap:

 

Some things i like to have:

-moving "the voice in my head" text left and right in addition to the height

-the active buffs and debuffs shown on the magic panel, where all other are

-more alignment options of love scenes (moving actors left, right, up, down)  

-auto vanilla voices (i use this mod for SL, it gives the npcs their original voices for moaning)

-functionality like SL tools (show the name of the running scene, disable it, or change to another)

There's a reason its only height... its centered text which maxes at a point of using almost 90% of the screen. There's no place to move it to other than up/down.

There's a reason they are not where all the others are.... Toys is not using magic effects, its using keywords and some properties read by the script. Would need to use magic effects for vanilla Skyrim to display in the usual spot.

 

So why is it done without magic effects?... This is to make it super easy for mod authors to make the toys. Even more importantly, its to centralize it into one script instead of having all those separate scripts firing off like crazy. Its also the only way to scale the buffs to Rousing and XP.

For alignment, you have the Height MCM options. Have you tried them? Sure this does not give you left/right, but it gives you the most common need... height... and automates it partly (up/down). Height covers non-standard heels, and non-standard actor height. The only thing left is badly made scenes.

 

The #1 goal was FAST scene starts.... If we overly complicate features like this, we slow it down, breaking Goal #1. 

 

Why is left/right needed? If the answer is only to compensate for bad scenes... the solution imo is disable them. But the jury is still out on whether or not the feature is needed so more info on the why is good feedback to have.

This is a good recommendation and is timely. Thank you. More voice options is on the list so we will be doing something for sure and I will check this out. Part of the issue will be getting permission from these inactive authors. I do have permission for some other voices.

 

The next release does have on sound improvement... the actors moaning in sync with the separate climaxes. But there will be more.

  • Name of the running scene, along with tags and a bit of other info, is in the console if you press ~
  • Disable the currently running scene is on the list. So that's coming. This is a convenience thing so you don't need to search for it to disable
  • Change to another scene feels not immersive to me, I'm not understanding the appeal. When/why do you use this? We do have the filter that was used, so it could limit you to valid scenes for the actors and the toys worn. This one is a maybe, and complex. I've added to the maybe list

If you reduce the text size (for example to 18) than the text won't be centered anymore.

How about a hotkey to show a window with the active buffs. Something like this possible?

Yeah it is for bad scenes. But maybe the scenes were made with other bodys in mind, so that for example she sucks to low or high.

I had for example a problem with toystory where she fucks the standing stone in the sea. The phallus was to low, it looks like she was riding on it instead of getting penetrated.    

The height option in the mcm hadn't helped there.

This is for scenes i don't like and want to disable or for scenes which were choosing unimmersive (like 2 women in a cocksucking scene without a cock).

Been having a lot of fun! Got a couple of issues to report.

 

1) Evidently the Missive Board from the mod Missives is treated as a  chest because I'm either finding toys or getting them equipped automatically.

 

2) Is there a setting somewhere to stop items from flying all over the place in Inns and houses during rousin events? I hate that mess!

Pretty sure for me it was centering but I will look into it. I've not played with the font size since first implementing. Can you double check please?

You should not need to adjust, centering should be automatic.

I've tried. I'd love to be able to make certain MCM windows hotkey up. Without making a fancy plugin (dll), the best I can do is a pop-up box which is very hard to format thus useless for lots of info. For example HoT&WeT has a hotkey that pops-up a small window of info. So beyond what you can see in HoT&WeT, not gonna happen. It would be like re-writing half of SkyUI. Tell the SkyUI author we need this :D (think they have not been active for a half decade).

If it's height. We've got height control, fully. Height control should be mostly automatic (which is how its implemented). You adjust for your non-standard character height and you are done. Maybe use the hotkey when using non-standard heel height. The standard heel height is automatic. When testing it out, use that lens of "automatic", not a sexlab lens. You should not need to mess with hotkeys, this is not immersive.

 

This is what I'm shooting for. If its not enough then I will do more. Jury is out.

 

If "other bodies" means non-standard skeleton... we have no plans to support non-standard skeletons. None of the SLAL pack authors have used non-standard skeletons.

  • Standing Stone is a custom scene. The height feature wont have any impact. The Height feature will gradually get utilized by "some" custom scenes, but likely not standing stone, I've tested it, and its not needed
  • If you want to know if the scene is custom or not, open console. If the scene info was not spit out there, its custom. In Toy Story its just the Standing Stone and the spanking that's custom. SLaVE has lots of custom scenes and they require a standard character height and skeleton
  • I don't think this problem you describe is height. You are using a non-standard skeleton I bet :D ? The bone in that position is in the wrong place. That's not going to work well in many cases

This should be posted on the ToyFul Temptations Support Thread such that the author sees it.

 

TT will do it's thingies for any container, even containers added by mods. Usually that's a great feature to have.

I'm not surprised its happening, and also amused :P.  What's wrong with a Missive Board serving up toys too?  *giggles* 

 

@Scrab might be able to provide a "don't trigger for custom containers" option, although I can see it being hard.

Visual Effect Strength Chance on the Scenes & Sounds tab.

 

But if you watch, its self cleaning. The items after they blow all over your room are magically floating back into place. And in some cases where this does not happen, they will self clean the next time you explode. There are a few item types that don't clean, but most do.

Seems like an immersion bonus to me, Toys hiding behind paper on some town board to assault bypassing adventurers ?

 

You know what, I should have them also distributed when trying to talk to someone, and for the immersion-deluxe version, Im gonna add another option to have them equipped when you step wiht a foot on the floor!

Sounds great, thank you. Gonna set it up over the weekend then and MCM Recorder should take care of keeping it set between games for the time being.

I think we can confirm that you have a mod that's changing the Toys&Love Voice in My Head widget.... No matter what I change, it stays centered.

Hello!

 

i probably found some bug or in my end messed up things :(

i not using the latest version of toys, based on change log this might not effect the bug i found.

 

installed and in use toys versions:

framework - v2.01

SLAVE - V 9.0

Toy Story - V 2.0

toys worskhop - V 1.3

 

i using Skyrim SE downgraded to 1.5.97 version from last skyrim se version using nexus unpatcher ( or something similar in name ).

 

Started new fresh game as instructed, not touched load order, no new mod added.

maybe important i installed the baka defeat mod for se but not activated. to run this i need use non standard arused redux. 

i use this version instead:
SexLabAroused Redux V28b SSE Modified by BakaFactory(2020 11 17))
 

The bug i encountered:

i get negative frost resist after used toys that give frost resist with high arusal. i removed this toy then noticed if i get any ice spell get insta killed. in normal difficulty from 180 hp

with a ice spike.

 

i think the problem lie here:

i have alternation - magic resist 10%

allowed max magic resist 80%

and i get messages from toys that my magicresist is 80 during the game play. maybe i archived some owerflow?

 

also strange thing happened to me after started use the feet fatish jewelry...

the item that give dragonborn bonus magica after special interaction with some  random npc.

i get amgica reduced by a great ammount after i removed this item.

maybe important i leveled up during usig sad item and improved my magica pool.

 

hmm maybe i need avoid install all the toys stuff in one go?

I've not been able to find cause but you can certainly have combinations of buffs stacked with buffs, including from other mods, that are not good.

 

The next release, which is very soon, has fail-safes where it will not set buffs "out of bounds". 

 

In the meantime, there's a console command you can use to fix if you get into trouble. Example for speed buff in here... Speed Buff/Debuff Broken

Thanks for the test. Now i have to find which one. i have tried disabling some gui mods, but haven't found the culprit yet.

 

Something complete different:

Would it be possible to build a bridge for SL mods to catch SL commands and direct them to toys, so that Toys plays the scenes?

 I think this would be interesting for quest mods and old mods, which have no maintainer anymore.

I tend to think that for a mod to have changed the Toys Widget, it would happen at startup, then get baked into the save.

So in other words, only way to test by removing suspect mods, and be sure, is to start a new game.

Hehe I knew someone would bring this up. Already came up in our discord. 

 

The same question came up multiple times for the.... DD ---> Toys scenario... Can I remap DDs to Toys? An FAQ for it here... Can DD be mapped to Toys&Love?

 

The answer for.... SL ---> Toys&Love is the same. The APIs are completely different, so you don't just map a 1 to 1 thing. You don't make a bridge.

 

Also even if you could, you can't "catch" the SL commands as they are not mod events that can be caught, they are function calls. Sure you could make a dummy sexlab that intercepts but the effort would be massive, and the lack of 1 to 1 would make it fail and slow things down. Toys is not clone. This is not the BS that Nemesis pulled.

 

No to make an old SL mod use Toys&Love, you manually go in and switch up the function calls. The code it takes to call Toys&Love is 10% of what it takes to call SL. 10 lines of code will end up being 1 or 3 lines, so much easier, but you still have to find each spot, understand it's intent and edge cases, and replace, and test.

 

On the bright side, its a MUCH easier job than converting a mod using DD, to using Toys. Why? Because bondage is "wide and diverse". Calling Love Scenes is much more narrow, specialized, and focused. There's many mods that would convert very quickly. There's a few cases where people are working on it.

 

To summarize... much easier to do the same features with Toys&Love, but no magic mapping/bridging gonna happen.

I'm trying to compile the following as a test to see if my setup works (which it obviously doesn't).

My end goal is to create a mod that starts love scenes through the Toys framework.

It says 'Compile Succeeded', but that's not right. When I try to save it says 'Compile not successful, do you want to save anyway?'

There's so many error messages, they don't fit inside the compiler output window. The ones I can read repeat over and over.

 

Additionally I get the warning

- Creation Kit 2.0

- SkyUI 5.1 SDK

- SKI_WidgetBase + SKI_WidgetManager

This is my first attempt at scripting which means I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I don't even know if my test script can work like this.

It would be nice if somebody out there would be willing to give me a nudge in the right direction.

JMap is JContainers.     Also if you look at line 48....       SceneInfo = JMap.getObj(Scenes, SceneID)        Its JMap.GetObj() that fails

 

If you have JContainers you would have JMap.psc in with all your other scripts.

 

Also possible that if you DO have JContainers, its caused by this... SE versus AE Version Trap

 

I've updated this.... Toys&Love - Mod Author's Documentation   you are probably using it. Sorry it did not mention JContainers

 

Note that without JC, Toys&Love will pop-up a message warning that JContainers is not installed if using v2.1+.

 

No JC = no love scenes can play.

I have the latest version 4.2.2 of JContainers, which is designed to work with what I have here (SKSE 2.1.5 and Skyrim AE 1.6.353.0).

The compiler clearly does not see JMap.psc 

 

Maybe it has something to do with virtualized files when using MO2? I use Vortex so can't help with specifics there if you use MO2. Vortex does not have that complexity to deal with. I have no additional ideas here. You could have problems beyond lack of JContainers being seen, but clearly that's the thing to solve first.

 

On a mostly unrelated thing, most people quickly abandon compiling inside CK. You can use a good editor like Notepad++ and compile externally. How to compile externally is in the Creation Kit Wiki, I think you'd find that with google. It's not the cause of your problem, but it would allow you to see ALL the message. No JC would cause a load of messages and I think its your only problem.

make sure all your source files are in the same path

 

for whatever compiler you're using. i tend to cross copy so everything is in both.

jcontainers uses the second. toys uses the first.
