Disable the scene hehe.

 

If you read the name of that scene (it's from FunnyBiz I think, right?). you will get the impression, like I got, that its actually intended. But unless you want to edit the animations in blender or something, no, you don't fix it.  

 

Your Voice in My Head line of text in that pic, is off-center. Someone else had the problem too. I've not yet learned what mod is changing it... seems must be a mod cuz Toy&Love can't do that by default. Not that it matters much.

 

 

And as for the bodyslide.. so you are using COCO body? @N.Gamma is much belter at bodysliding than I am. They even got the skirt in Toys Workshop to work in BHUNP.... that is... COCO BHUNP. But you can't expect regular BHUNP to work, if your body is COCO.

thanks I will have to slowly go through and disable scenes that don't work. When I saw what Alvor was doing to my character I was like, what in the world is going on that is not how it works.

 

So I go to love scenes in the mcm and I disable the scenes that I don't want right? just double checking

That's one option.

 

If you see a scene playing, you can disable it WHILE it's playing. Instead of having to find it, just click the Current Scene Playing.

(I read back a couple of months and didn't see much discussion, and I don't trust LL's Search for "male")

 

So, took the plunge and installed T&L+TT, trying things out with a few thoughts:

 

First up, I'm not sure I've BodySlide'd correctly, but to be honest I only use a female body replacer (BHUNP) for NPCs for consistency and immersion, and mostly so that things don't break or just seem "odd" (if the men bounce and don't wear underwear, why should the women be different).

 

I do use SOS-AE, which if I understand it correctly should just work fine "out of the box" (the main reason I've stuck with it rather than some of the newer alternatives since, as above, I'm a BodySlide neophyte and SL/DD had a hard enough time working with "just" SOS).

 

I very much appreciate that T&L has framework support for males baked in and that it just works.  However....

 

I have several of the Toyboxes installed, but it seems like a big majority of the Toys are listed as Gender Incompatible, even several that seem rather gender neutral like gags, collars and cuffs.  For most body slots, there are only a couple of items, if any, which are equipable (I run FrostFall, and was looking forward to H&W but most of the slots have zero items).

 

Assuming I've installed things correctly* (big If -- test save/not in full Golden Rule compliance), are there any plans to add male-centric Toyboxes or to retrofit male models into existing Toyboxes?  Even with SL/DDs palpable level of male PC hate, most DDs will "function" at some level on males most of the time (even when they probably shouldn't -- not really sure where that second plug is going).

So to address this first. No. Each of your "maybe I did something wrong?" can be put to rest because all of what you describe, from what I can tell, is working as intended. I can say this because bodyslide and SOS and anything body-fit, is cosmetic. The thing equips but looks wrong. You are not speaking of anything like that.

 

What you are speaking of is binary. Either it can equip, or it cannot. What Toys&Love has, that the other does not, is a feature where the toy is marked as compatible or not. If its NOT it wont equip hence the binary. So what is available for males, is what's available, you can't install that wrong, only the cosmetics.

They are FAR less neutral than you might think....

• The neck on males is MUCH thicker, playing havoc with collars. We converted the ones that we could
• The head/chin/mouth, is in a whole different location, so any gag has to be moved down, and also scaled. If the gag has lots of straps. Scaling is beyond do-able and now it needs a new asset. Again, we converted the ones that we could
• The small dainty cuffs wont fit, also must be scaled. The big thick ones, they work fine, thus you see they are set as compatible

So in summary, MUCH time went in to getting what we could male compatible, and sadly, that's still only about 40% of the toys in total. We have to make do.

• We DO have both a male harness and even a Scanty Belt, in the Insignia set. That's a first
• In Toy Story, the Wojtek Genital Toy works for males. That whole mod has been careful to be male compatible

Take a look at the survey here. Less than 10% of players want mods for Male players. This explains why authors have not made many assets for us to use.

The retrofitting is done. That's why about 40% DO work for males.

 

I would LOVE it if some authors make Toy Boxes for Male. No scripting required, very easy to do, IF  you have the assets.... Toy Box Authoring. Our team does not have anyone that can make the new assets, but Toy Boxes are like content mods, anyone can make them, lets hope someone comes along. There's some assets out there already that we've not used, but they still require work and getting permission.

I want to say majority of players here only play female characters which is why majority of the mods is only tailored for female player characters. Which is why you barely see anything for male characters when it comes to devious devices etc. I'm a male but play female characters cause I want to see my female character and other female characters taken advantage of.

Well the survey you are referencing says, we should spend more time on Futa than Male. That did surprise me.

 

At least we have close to full Futa support in the Love Scenes. Males are fully supported.

Dragonsreach in Whiterun and the mage I was mentioning was Farengar. He has 2 rooms that you could take items from and items on the big table that he stands in front of that also has the enchanting table.

Yes someone needs to make a bondage shop for Toys&Love, I keep hoping @Laura will convert the Laura shop! But there's room for new ones too.

 

I'd never just place the toys about to be picked up though. Toys Workshop has a little vending going on, and you can see toys on display, but no picking them up!

 

A good bondage vendor or shop, is FAR more about the quests and story that go with it, not the vendor/shop. And generally the toys displayed are props only too, you have to work a bit harder to actually get them.

 

Toys&Love is a Framework... Rudimentary, or not, the bondage shop cannot be in the framework, its the job for a content mod. Somebody needs to make it   To anyone interested, I promise you, its much easier with Toys&Love. MUCH. Your quests can have Love Scenes that can be triggered, merely by placing a keyword on a toy. Script-less Love scenes if you want. The toys setup much easier too.

3. New - Soft Toys Love -  (that's the demo I just described, for mod authors on how to use the new Global Functions for soft dependency use)

In case @Laura or other mod authors are reading ...  Options for any mod author with an existing DD/SLA/SL dependent mod:

1. Convert it, so it's a dedicated version for Toys&Love. This would be where it only requires Toys&Love. No need for Sexlab, you'd convert that too. Best in many ways and MUCH faster to do than the next options
   • This was the option I used for SLaVE
   • you end up with a faster, slimmer mod. Easier to maintain. Less to go wrong
   • The downside is then you have 2 mods to maintain, if you plan to continue supporting legacy DD/SLA/SL. Not an issue if you end that support like I did
2. Use the new Global Functions for a dependency free setup, where it supports DD and Toys, but installing Toys is optional
   • requires the next release which is in beta now
   • Disadvantage is that you still have to install the Legacy mods, so no option for users wanting a DD-less setup. Not a bad thing for many
   • Another disadvantage is that soft dependency does limit some Toys features, and how you go about using them, which can mean more effort, or just forgoing using some features
3. Support both DD and Toys, with a hard dependency on Toys
   • similar to #2 above, but now you don't have that 3rd disadvantage
   • Users do have more hard requirements. This is how Dark Desires Club has been done

Each has advantages. #2 can be a quick and dirty way to sneak a few Toys features in, without much work. That's why we are adding the Global Functions this coming release.

Having a bit of trouble getting Toys to play nice with SLSO. I've disabled the "Use Denial in Sexlab Scenes" option (or whatever it is) in the MCM. Also have disabled spontaneous orgasms by setting that option to zero. Have tried both linking rousing to SLA and unlinking it, but unfortunately, nothing seems to give the desired result. Arousal Level from SLA drops continually over the duration of the SL scene which means SLSO's enjoyment bar goes down instead of filling up like it's supposed to. I believe it's linked to Toys since this is the first save I'm using it on (wanted to test out Dark Desires Club) and SLSO worked fine before. I must be missing something obvious. Any ideas?

Highlight text for MCM option Use Denial in SL Scenes :

[ON] Sexlab scenes behave the same as Toys Love and Custom scenes... You squirt, each squirt reduces Rousing, and the squirt can be denied using the Denial hotkey.

[OFF] Squirt/Rousing reduction/denial won't happen. Useful if using a mod that alters Sexlab.

 

Your description of what's happening would appear to be the intended behavior for ON. You definitely want that OFF.

We can rule this out as being related.

Spontaneous Orgasms are separate scenes. Cannot happen if the player is busy in any other scene. Also they are played by Toys&Love, not SL. SLSO only runs on SL.

The default... SLA sync off.... means Rousing from Toys&Love never reaches SLA. So even if Use Denial in SL Scenes is left ON, it's effect on Rousing cannot touch Arousal, thus can't hurt SLSO.

If SLA Sync is ON, this is when Use Denial in SL Scenes needs to be OFF. Only when they are both on, will this be bad for SLSO.

I traced the code just now. Only way Toys&Love can reduce Rousing during an SL scene is through Squirting (which you can deny).

Only way Rousing can touch SLA (and thus impact SLSO), is if Sync is ON.

Thus only way you can have what you describe is (and it would be working as intended), is Use Denial in SL Scenes ON & Sync ON

 

So in conclusion I see 3 possibilities:

1. you have Use Denial in SL Scenes ON & Sync ON  <-- obviously you have tried with one or both off, so can rule this out
2. Another mod is doing arousal reduction
3. You have a corrupt save
   • Did you start a new game?  do I really need to start a new game? Or since starting that new game, did you break the Golden Rule ?
   • It would be simple to start a new game and test

Thanks for the real in-depth response. Yeah, the save is brand spanking new. No mods uninstalled. Nothing updated. Very very new game. I think I can rule Toys out based on your feedback. Must have missed some setting in some other mod out of the veritable cornucopia of debauchery I have installed.
