Hey, just wanted to say, thanks for uploading SE conversions on the main page

 

Its so much better than with old simple slavery having to track down the most stable of a bunch of obscure conversions

I've updated my post about the slaving mods.

 

Devious Cidhna (the pirate quest) seems to be the most promising atm, you get sold and it feels like you are a slave.

 

However the following problems occur which does nt seem intended:

  • Sometimes your owners start attacking you like a normal bandit camp/ vampire camp and sort (can be annoying when you are about to get free).
  • The devious devices does n't get removed when you finish the quest (most of the time it is not even possible to get stuff back, need cursed loot or something to get keys and free yoursef but that breaks the immerion a little since everyone can have a key which should only be the owners)

Im not sure if there is a after mod that works and does the following:

  • I use Prison Overhaul of Defeat to get sold to the slave auction.
  • Bidding starts and I get sold to a owner.
  • The owner and their gang will have their way with me (punish and such) or being sold like an animal to a brothel or something.
  • I can escape or be freed while completing the quest or be sold again to another owner*.
  • If not sold again everything should be clear again and I can move on.

* Offering sex to be freed is a no go... slaves don't have a choice.

 

Is there anything that does this.., working? Im keep getting stuck finding the right mod that triggers after simple slavery.

 

Ohh and there seems to be a small bug sometimes my brows disapear in de slave auction, it only happens after Defeat though, strainge can this be a slot where the brows are on that gets de-equipped for some reason?

A feedback about the latest update - I get CTD after the auction has been concluded, also - the items removal doesn't seem to work.

SD+, all Devious Cidhna scenarios, SLUTS, DCL Rubber Doll collar, Raven Beak Prison. Obviously I have no idea which scenario causes CTD, I tried few times, so chances are high that it's more than one of them.

I had ebonite collar & high sec armbinder (plus zbf non-lockable items) at the moment, none of those got removed.

I just downgraded SS++ to its previous version and everything runs just fine (same save; the Devious Cidhna scenarios have a rather significant delay between the end of the auction and the teleport, but other than that all is A-OK).

Equippable means an item in your inventory that you equip like a hat or ring.  Those eyebrows are not equippable so it must be a graphics problem.

Thank you for that information.  It looks like a last-minute change that I did broke the device keyword check.  Gosh, I hate it when I do that.  I have that fixed now.  I'm not getting a CTD after the auction, though.  I'll test a few more scenarios to see if I can find any problem before releasing a new version.

Did n't have this issue with the old ported version with the patch.

But it is no big deal since it always returns after a while

 

Some cosmetics are placed on a node, so this might be the case, I check later.

I tested SD+ (most recent version) 14 times with different SD gender pref settings, SLUTS 4 times, and once for each of the 3 Cidhna outcomes.  I don't see a problem.  I don't have Raven Beak or DCL, but those should be simple hand-offs, nothing that's changed since the last release.  Are you maybe using an old version of SD+?

 

I'll be releasing a version 6.3.1 shortly.  It will have the device removal fix for the problem that @kapibar noted.  I also put some error checking and a warning pop-up around the lookup of the SD+ gender preference global variable, but unless that's a recent addition to SD+ it shouldn't matter.

I love the name you chose for this.  :)

My old C++ programmer brain makes me see this as "Simple Slavery Increment By One", which I think is what I'll start calling this in comments just to confuse people (or will it?).

@HexBolt8 there's one mod that was not included in the original SS and - quite frankly - I have no idea why is that, it would be great if you could implement it as a potential outcome of the auction - Trapped in Rubber. Yes, it's a little bit outdated and (I think) unsupported at this point, but the same can be said about Captured Dreams.

I have no clue why TiR never seemed to get the love it deserved, but it's definitely worth promoting as a valuable addition, it would be very cool if you could do it some justice.

Probably because it doesn't have a way to start it remotely.  I've never played it, but it doesn't look like it was designed with that in mind.  Perhaps it's best to just use it outside of SS with its immersive start of finding the dead woman.

So here's an idea - I assume it would be possible to teleport the PC next to the dead woman and equip her with the gear, so the rest of the story would follow its natural course. It's just an idea, of course. From what I've seen a lot of people search for mods in the SS's dependancies, so it basically serves as a "best of loverslab slavery mods". Plus it's not unusual for SS to ignore some parts of other mods, as - for example - Leon/Leah quest is ignored, while willingness to do something as stupid as locking yourself in restraints plays important part in DCL quest, SS sends the PC straight into the slavery.

But of course this is your mod, I don't want to pressure you into doing something that doesn't suit your own vision.

SS is not really about promoting other mods, though.  It's just a gateway between a defeat or abduction event and an enslavement mod.  The handoff should be clean, without needing specific knowledge of how an enslavement mod works.  For example, the handoff to Leon is one line:

 

SendModEvent("dcur_TriggerLeonSlavery")

 

There's no embedded knowledge about Leon, his ref ID, his location, or anything else.  SS just tells DCL to enslave the player to Leon and DCL takes it from there.  DCL knows what to do, because it was designed to kick off enslavement to Leon from outside.  If a mod isn't designed for that, it gets messy.  From a software design viewpoint, it's bad practice to muck around in the internals of another application.  It should provide an interface for that.  Trapped in Rubber does not, as far as I can tell from its mod page.

 

I suppose I could add a section to this mod's description page for Enslavement Quests You Might Also Like, though that will spam a mod update notification every time it's edited, which isn't nice.

The author of Trapped in Rubber was quite emphatic that she did not want a different way to begin it, including via SS. Later, she said people could add to it in whatever way they wanted but, as Hex said, there isn't a clean way to get there. One of my ideas was to make a "pre-TiR" mod where the player is gradually trained to be a Rubbermaid, but I never got around to that one.

Of course I'm aware that SS is not a marketing device, but it helps some users with creating their own experience. You make a valid point about spamming.

 

Anyway, if TIR's autor has stated that it is undesired to mess with the mod's intro then I think this closes this subject. Thanks for considering my idea.

That was back when TiR was being developed. At a later point, near the very end, she said people could use it how they wanted. To me, that is tacit permission to connect. The problem at this point is that there is no good way to connect to it story-wise and, worse, without making it a dependency which, though Hex may certainly do if he wants, would be ill-advised.

The pirate quest is good but I had the fight issue too and couldn't get out of it except by summoning a follower to kill the crew, kind of immersion breaking. It happened after I stole the key to the footlocker with my gear. They would beat me into bleedout, walk away, then beat me down again when I recovered. Although I was able to convince them to remove my blindfold and armbinder between combat. You can pickpocket the key even if with armbinders for some reason.  Also looking for more quests that are story focused rather than bondage focused. 

 

Also thanks to the awesome people responsible for the new version + SE version.

have you tried Slaves of Tamriel? It's definitely story focused and has, in my opinion, by far the most realistic slavery experience of all the mods I've tried.

any chance to get some of the other places from Devious Stories added like Muatra's and the Skooma Den place ? they're just kinda sitting there empty and unsused and are great locations with potential..

it might be related to a similiar issue i am having with certain specific DD restraints causing CTD as they are being equipped, and those are Shackles and Chains mostly, with HDT scripts. so most likely caused by the prison, if i was to assume. then again it may not be related, but worth looking into if it is. hope that helps
