re-employ them into something else. they're robots now, so you can't really pull milk from them, and robots probably aren't fucking the other robots. put them towards producing unity and alloys and start your militaristic machine conquest

Actually Synths/Robots can work Sex jobs. They just require genitals via robomodding. And breasts for dairy jobs.

even my previous robots with genital/breast traits doesnt work. i use many mod with this maybe mod compatability problem.(but im not using job-related mod so i can't figure out) or robot rights bug things.

anyway later i just invade other empire and enslave them and put them into brothel.

One or two things I don't get. One: why does higher class sex jobs (like escort) can't be done by all my enslaved (but domestic) xenos. Second: why does brothel (if I remember the name correctly) gives you more escort (I think) jobs than whores? Sounds pretty illogical.

To be an Escort requires choice.  You're not some common street girl, desperate for the money.  You are entertaining dignitaries, heads of state.  And you're not just a pretty face and a a set of mammaries.  You are educated, charming, possibly a singer or dancer.  You likely aren't even hired for sex but to provide the look of such for events.  You might be hired to host.  Slaves are not suitable.  At all.  They have no power.  Escort have the power.  The power of choice.,

@Bloody You're vastly over stating things or just don't know how Escorts work. Many of them can be involuntarily forced into the profession. The major difference between an escort and a street walker is that an escort does not display their profession to the general public and typically advertises their services through print media with a contact number to them or an agency they might work through.  It's still a very real chance that call girls can be sex trafficking victims or forced into the business by a pimp.

 

@Mirrond The actual reason domestic servants aren't selected for the job is because the default values for LV weight enslaved + servant capable pops at .1 the regular weight while every other brand of enslave has a weight of 10, meaning chattel slaves, battle thralls and livestock will be 100 times more likely to take the specialist slot over a domestic servant slave.

 

If you want to alter this  yourself, go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\!!Lustful Void\common\pop_jobs and open the lv_pop_jobs.txt with any text editor and find the appropiate line (Starting Line 1714 for escorts         

   

            modifier = {
            factor = 0.1
            can_take_servant_job = yes

 

change the factor to 10 or higher and your domestic servants will start taking the jobs at the same or greater rate as regular slaves.


As for Escorts vs Whores. Escorts generally require more infrastructure and cater to more luxurious clients. They work by appointment rather than walk ins. Think of them the VIP area of the bar or club while the worker class drones mingle about the public areas.

Of course you're absolutely right in the real world, but for simpler game purposes I think that dividing up whores/escorts in the way Davidchan says could be flavorful. In the images and events we have lots of women being raped, grabbed by tentacles, slaves etc. so having some women of power (not necessarily dominating) might be cool.

You can just delete the traits from your game files to play without them. Go to your Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\!!Lustful Void\common\traits folder and delete or change the txt files. I really don't recommend it, since most of the sexual traits have some modifier on sexual jobs, many of them having hidden bonuses like neuron saliva providing bonus research for sexual jobs.

This mod is said to be a sort of continuation of the "sexual gameplay" mod that isn't updated anymore. There are obviously a lot of addons here too, but I am concerned, because I couldn't find mention of some important parts from the old mod: Are these special breeder events from sexual gameplay still in? For example the generation of a hybrid species (including the art), or when a settlement went extinct because of sexual overtaking?

gotta thank both @Lithia<3 and you @Raana for giving me at least 50+ hours of renewed enjoyment of Stellaris.

though one thing @Raana, I couldn't get the Ravage mechanic to work for a very long time (tested like 10 hours) and figure I lacked the apocalypse DLC that had the raiding bombardment stance in it, and sure enough once i got that DLC (praise steam sale) it worked instantly, just as a heads up for any other players out there with the same problem browsing this thread for answers (hello!)

 

also started digging into the files trying to figure out how to add my own modifications and managed to add a tentacle trait species trait which was basically multiple penises x3 on all effects, it didn't have the description and couldn't figure out where that was, still looking.

 

I've been working on figuring out multiple way of making mind control themed events and content in the form of either suggestive actions or controlling actions (balance is not really considered here) and looked into the different files and what the flying hell spawn is !Lustful Void\events\lv_event_mods.txt?? had to load it up with notepad++ to get some amount of structure overview and it gives me a lot of appreciation for the work you've done @Lithia<3 and all the lovely people that have helped writing this mod (at least from what I've been reading there's a lot of contribution scatter about.

 

I'll dig deeper when I get the time and interest cause mind control is fun control!

That's actually a good catch with the bit about DLCs. I tend to pick them up as they come out because I have mods on the workshop that usually need updating and I've never really thought about whether some mechanics might not work without them.

 

Trait text and descriptions are found in the localisation files. For traits in LV it'd be the lv_traits_l_english.yml file. You just need to link the text to the trait ID.

trait_id:0 "Your Trait Name"
trait_id_desc:0 "Trait Description Text"

Mind control could be an interesting feature. Could do things like making aggressive empires like you more, break up powerful alliances steal pops from empires who normally wouldn't allow migration and probably other fun stuff, but with a good chance of backfiring spectacularly if your control is broken. Maybe have it work better on some populations than others. Authoritarians, spiritualists and xenophiles maybe being more susceptible while their opposites might be more resilient.

 

@Lithia<3 Deserves most of the credit for putting everything together though. I just offer up occasional additions I think might be fun if I can get them to work, and I know there are a few others helping as well.

I know I personally am waiting for the next update since my late game lag is gets really bad on the 1st and 4th of every month. Not sure if it's a mod conflict or what but hoping next patch will smooth it out a bit.
