Just tried that, didn't help but I will also try a completely new save

Having issues with plugs of the commonwealth, it loads the mod properly, the plugs work in the game as devious devices, but it never applies them after the scenario.

When you start a new game, you should see Violate give you messages, top left, that will tell you the version of AAF that's installed, violates version and a couple others.
You can quickly test AAF by hitting the Home button and seeing if it works. Don't do much testing in the pre war part, but a simple animation between Nate & Nora should work okay.

yeah, I got this, I can see the menu when I press the home button. I also had these messages. but something feels wrong

Unlike the other DOA races Diego is not DiegoRace its "HumanRace-Diego". If that helps. Not entirely sure it's DOA lore friendly to have certain DOA fighters even subject to Violate. I mean, all Bass or Bayman would have to do is clench up their ass cheeks and it would rip off the violator's dick. But they are Ah-nold or Rambo action hero level status. All a choice. Just sayin.  I will put together a list of the race names in my follower mods but 99% of them are (DOA Char's Name)Race.

 

It's a 50 50 chance I was drunk or stoned when I started that mod and switched from the normal formula.

 

Liara is a custom race. with an unusual name. Ill have to get back to you on that. Morrigan is base humanrace. Violate should work on her out of the box. The "chuck Norris" summons upgrade is also human race but he should also be able to clench and rip off your dick.

As for myself, I view what are my skills not my companions. If I F-up on survival mode, my companions must pay too.

The commonwealth has kind of a 3rd world mentality- take/kill/help/fight/fuck whoever you want. There is always someone tougher than you... Besides having your great companions bound is HOT!

Chuck Norris or Roddy Piper... lived in Fallout...we would have to rename DeathClaws to  NorisPuppies and Super Mutants to PiperBabies

Ok, so im a bit new to modding, but using "The Fucking Manual" i was able to cobble together a working game. Exept 1 problem. I have Commonwealth Slavers mod and AAF Violate

I read that sometimes Violate can cause problems for CS, but i never had any

But im getting problems with Violate - when i press hotkey to surrender near raiders, i get the I cant surrender to these enemies message. If i disable CS, works fine. There is a patch for Hardcore raiders in CS, so i tried with it disabled (in case it did something like create a whole new "class" of enemies) and it didnt help

 

Edit - so it tlooks like CS prevents me from surrendering to ANY enemy. I tried ghouls, dogs, super mutants

Edit 2 - and im 99% sure Violate was working perfectly fine before i finished CS quests

So i think i better ask this question/search for answers on CS page

Violate shouldn't be active while running CS. The faction CS puts you in prevents violate from allowing you to surrender, at least it should.

I am new to modding (literally like a month) and I can't get any animations to work. I've read through everything and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can someone please help me figure this out? I feel really dumb, but I can't seem to get anything to work

Welp. Did you do any reading and / or research? Just installed all of the mods and wonder which  one(s) do not work? You provided no fucking information at all. Really. If you are that new and this is one of your first questions, then lol. Good luck. There are resources everywhere and *personally* I have no patience for users that want everyone else to figure out *your* issues.

Wow, ok. If you read what I had written you would have seen that, yes. I read everything. I read the fucking manual for AAF. I read every bit of information on how to install F4SE and I followed both sets of directions exactly. I read that AFF violate has to be installed last, and you need to ensure that the animations work BEFORE installing. But here's the kicker, REGARDLESS OF WHAT I DID  THERE WERE NO ANIMATIONS. So to answer your question simply, yes. I read the installation directions. I read the order of which things should be installed. I use vortex to manage mods and it is easier. I tried Mod Organizer and couldn't understand it because I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing which is why I asked the question to begin with.

Maybe a silly question but do you have any of the animation packs installed? (they are separate) figuring out issues always starts with step one.

Information such as: Including which Mod installer you're using, mod list, load order etc. always helps everyone to help you.

Ps: I understand the frustration, however responding angrily at people only accomplishes refusal of said help.

How does the problem manifest itself, is there any error message displayed? For example, AAF gets stuck at 68%?

Are you using any unique races?

 

Getting animations up and running is much easier than it might seem, several things listed in the manual are often not even needed.

 

It is important to follow the version number, newer versions may not work properly.

 

I recommend installing just the basics first and testing out how the animations work. Then you can gradually start adding more mods and patches.

i have the same problem have only the required mods to run it followed the instructions and am at a loss  it says LLFP DLL not loaded  I'm waiting for a solution now completely scoured this forum

The LLFP plugin is a F4SE plugin that comes with AAF.  You need to ensure that your versions of AAF, F4SE, and Fallout 4 itself all match, and that no other mod is overwriting the LL_FourPlay_[game version].dll file.

everything should be up to date i redownloaded fallout today have only the required mods and downloaded the latest files i cant see a reason the dll wouldn't be loading. i have archives invalidated would that do it?

You don't need to downgrade.  You need to install AAF version 1.1.1 (from the AAF discord) and F4SE version 0.7.2

okay so there's another version of aaf only found on discord not nexus? on the discord im not seeing a download for anything besides copywrite and terms of use do i need access or something

Go into the Rules channel and click on the nuclear explosion icon below the post at the bottom.  That will give you access to the other channels.  You download AAF from the AAF_Public_Release channel.
