Nite_Star Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I used to be a massive Nexus follower, but when I ported some clothing/Armor over to New Vegas from Fallout 3 I was threatened to be banned if I never got original authors permission... I had no problem with this but getting the permission from a modder who was never on seemed pretty hard. Yes he came on and I had messaged him but he totally ignored it, so I thought fuck it........and left and then found you guys and gals and been here ever since...

I downloaded it and it looks like he updated it to support cbbe and some other stuff. The main file is slightly bigger than before and the cbbe update is a separate download. There is also a patch for unp support. Maybe he asked them to delete it so he could start over? It seems strange to do that just update the pics and files no need to delete the whole mod page. Unless he posts here about it I guess we will never know for sure.

Kendo 2 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I am banned from Nexus...meh. Funny thing is, when Dante banned me he also deleted ALL of my mods. I didn't request that, he just did it. He even bragged that he was going to do it. In one punitive (and very petty, IMO) move he deleted about 35 mod pages and literally MILLIONS of posts and endorsements. He also scuttled every mod on Nexus that required my files. Ironically, I wasn't going to request my files be removed. I was going to leave them in place and I had given file admin access to two other members so they could continue to provide support in the event I ever left Nexus (did that about a year ago). What really sucks balls is Dante deleted the Official Type3 Release for New Vegas. I didn't author that, dimon99 and Backsteppo did. All I did was upload it, provide mod support and bring the REAL Type3 to New Vegas players. ANYWAY...If I owned a forum and a staff member deleted the amount of content Dante did, he wouldn't be on the staff after that. I'd probably ban HIM for sabotaging my forum. Oh yeah, every member of the Nexus staff and Dark0ne violated the TOS we all agreed to in Oct 2006. Dark0ne has changed the TOS so many times since then I guess they all forgot that WE (the staff and ME) agreed that it is OKAY TO STAND UP TO THEM...'the staff are not golden icons and can be disagreed with, etc.' That was what the TOS WE agreed to in 2006 said. OH WELL...

Sure it will gladly take the banana and sweets you offer it, but it would rather you keep your distance and will fling feces at you to prove it's point. So what's a person to do, but to start poking it with a stick from a safe distance and go into hiding when it reaches for it's ass then when the air clears, you resume the poking.

As much she was good at modding, she should've kept her ego in check. I don't hate her, but it's just that she went too far for the sake of gaining rep points. There's a difference between those who do something fucking stupid to get banned, and those who were banned for doing the right thing or for the sake of self-expression. Let's move on, okay?

They have been collecting mods for YEARS. It is nothing new. Back when Oblivion was hot, if a mod poacher uploaded a Japanese mod it would be deleted from Nexus, but not before Buddah or bben got their hands on it. StormRaven himself told me that.

Dark0ne 'offered' to pay back my premium fee. In my less-than-heart-felt-ban-appeal I just told him to keep it. After all, I downloaded a shitload of mods from his servers. He offfers a service and I used it. (Speaking strictly for myself here) I saw no reason to get the membership fee back. Woulda been kinda dishonest on my part.
