I did run FNIS and bodyslide not sure what is causing this. Also Devious Devices Equip mcm isn't showing up so turned that off for now will consult its page for info on that suspect its a game version plugin version mismatch.

Possible if there is attach points on device nifs (and there is function to manipulate a parts attached to it (like weapons in Fallout 4) you can made chastity belt what can open, close, take out, put in plugs. Anyway you can do it as remove previous device and equips new, but it will be visibly seen. And sound of equip will be there. And it will take more time to resolve scripts. Addasus Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 Possibly a stupid question, but did something change to put harder limits on the number of NPCs effected? Â I ask because only two NPCs ever seem to get shocked by their piercings, or effected by the Devious Blank spells when I try to use them. If I give another follower the same kind of plug, they don't even equip it/give no text box. If I give them a different plug, they might generate a text box and equip it, but they won't be affected by the spell. And only the first two characters I gave piercings too ever seem to get shocked by them. Â I remember being able to affect a wider array of people simultaneously before, so I was wondering if that had to be scaled back to make things more stable. Â Thanks for any insight you can provide.

threp Posted May 17, 2025 Posted May 17, 2025 Been fighting this for three days now and I'm stumped. Had to reinstall DD 5.2 into my formerly perfectly working LO thanks to a screw up on my part. (I'm on skyrim 1.5.9). Absolutely nothing else has changed. Â Start a new game and the Events (vibration, pump bump, stuff like that) in the DD MCM do not appear. Full stop. Every event fails to register, according to the papyrus log. Tried the usual - shutting off mods except for the needed to test and ... it's still like that. Â Any ideas before I punt this laptop into the sun in frustration?

Tried the usual - shutting off mods except for the needed to test and ... it's still like that.  Any ideas before I punt this laptop into the sun in frustration?  My problems with DD not loading are always tracked back to Sexlab preloading failing, or a mod dependent on sexlab messing it up. Sometimes I fail to load the proper version of a mod resource like Jcontainers, breaking another mod that created a trainwrenk in papyrus, issues visible in a complex mod like DD instead of the real culprit. Long ago, I discover that campfire was overwriting PapytusUtils SKSE dll with an ancient version that broke everything. Making sure framework mods load and win all conflicts is the first step before targeting the broken mod.  Spoiler Try, opening with Fallrim Tools ReSaver multiple saves separated by time intervals during game start-up. Look for what scripts are active, and script queue is decreasing or increasing with suspended scripts listed. Have a save when everything looks aleegelyyy completed loading and look if the queue has a trainwrenk of suspended scripts or just a few (under 20).  If it has suspended scripts and maybe in the hundreds, some scripts are not completing, maybe because something is missing or a bug in one script bork the operation of anything after it.  Edited May 17, 2025 by safado 1
threp Posted May 18, 2025 Posted May 18, 2025 Had a go at what you said. Had no suspended stacks/scripts at all in half my saves and only three or four in other. No orphan script instances, which surprised me. I do have a problem on the game start where I can only save twice thanks the mod to set starting skills: It gets tempermental and CTDs if you make more than one or two saves before it runs. Solved the problem temporarily by bumping my fUpdateBudgetMS and fSxtraTaskletBugetMS settings to 1.8 from the default in skyrim.ini then shifting POP, DDEquip (the mod, not the ancient Devious Devices component!), and SUM to my "load after I've started the game" group of mods than don't get ticked until I'm at whatever start I've picked in LAL. It seems to have worked for the moment, so I think it was just too much going on at once for my agmittedly somewhat elderly laptop to handle any more. Guess I am just at the hard limit of what my machine can handle.  Thank you for the advice - it helped a lot in solving the problem.

However, in the reflection, one can see a static picture of Whiterun, which doesn't really make sense when being indoor for example -> see pictures in spoiler section.  Is there a way to replace the responsible "iDDeInox_e.dds" file with a "generic" one and still retain the chrome and mirror look? It has some nice colour variants and some devices you don't get anywhere else, but yet another locking mechanism. Â 1

I have the slider, i have ran fnis got cbbe etc, enabled all the mods and the game runs, but there is just nothing, none of the mods are activating or appearing etc, What have i done wrong?

I see you're new here, so welcome to LoversLab! Â Getting Devious Devices running might take you a day or two, depending on your current setup and your expirience as a modder. (mod-user, that is) Â Start with the basics: find out, which game version you're using - if you've just downloaded it, you'll be on AE 1.6.1170 - which means that you'll need mods that actually run on that setup, using the right dll and stuff. This mod won't run on its own on AE, but you'll need it anyway to get DD NG running. First thing: get the right sexlab version and get that running. If it does, go to the landing page of any mod you want to install and read the instructions. If you have to read a lot: scroll down, read it. Every step you skip will be ten steps in debugging and wondering why things don't work. (Installing Laura's Bondage Shop will probably be next week...)

I never said it doesn't work, but it's got nothing to do with this mod. People need to learn to walk before they start running, which seems to be one of the main problems, regarding this thread. Oh, and maybe read instructions before asking for help.

Then I ticked it to enable it. Then ran FNIS. I then ran bodyslide x64, i changed the preset to kink, then ticked everything in body slider and clicked batch build, saw all of the devices there, ticked all of them and clicked the cbbe version. then build. Then loaded up the game, saved and reloaded my save, and yeah nothing Â

Something else?  Look at the troubleshooting post for how to make sure bodyslide is configured correctly.
MickeyC22 Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Ooo i just had a massive breakthrough, so i was thinking maybe i just dont know how to check if the mod is working so i installed cursed loot and it stated that "devious devices intergration.esm should be active but is inactive, so it sounds like that is the mistake i have made. but the next question is, how do i do that?  I am so sorry i am quite new to this clearly
