okay, thanks for the answer and sorry for my blind eyes. XD i have try it and still have a same error as before despite i already disabled anything on that page.

No matter what I do.. I can't get out of anything.  I cant turn off certain device i.e. straight jacket.  Is this new?  Seems like i could disable that before?  Keys bought don't work.  Makes the game unplayable and so many SL mods require it...considering OStim instead..help?

Uhmm, to make one thing clear: This mod is a framework. There is no option to disable Straightjackets, and there never was. When you go into a bookshop you don't ask the shopkeeper to remove the cooking books while you're there - just don't buy them...

Whatever borks your game - you must have at least one mod that makes use of this framework, be it Cursed Loot, Unforgiving Devices or something else I might not have heard of. Those have extra keys for their quest devices (or some other mechanic, never tried UD) so you might want to ask in the respective threads. This mod doen't even add a place to buy keys.

Yes, lock manipulation is controlled by this mod, but not being able to "turn off" something is not the same as not being able to "get out of" - even in translation. But the type of errors didn't make me assume that the author made use of a machine translation.

Just in case - you need two standard restraints keys to unlock straightjackets.

Lock\unlock Manipulation is normally applied for devices you equipped yourself from inventory and not the ones equipped by other mods scenes. DD is designed as a framework and will not populate it devices into Skyrim cells. Any DD assets acquire in game is managed by another mod using DD as a source. 

 

Depending on implementation, it may sometime affect DD devices applied by mods.  Manipulation is disabled by default, enable it first in the MCM. 

Also, the usage of keys is managed by DD but the access to the keys and unlock tools are from other mods.  I recommend disabling locking MCM, if equipping DD device.

Well, you haven't told me anything new personally... I mostly use DD assets without mods like DCL and others (UD) - it's not necessary for my own role-play.

The only thing that matters to me is that I can get out of the restraints on my own. Of course, I know how the UD or DCL mechanics work - I've used these mods myself for a long time.

What I want to do with bondage and fetish items in Skyrim is almost NOT covered by advanced mods... so my "magic hand" puts corsets or catsuits (or the Dwemer cuirass) on my avatar myself - or removes them again.

 

It was just a question of whether the lock manipulation also works with the straitjackets... I haven't tried it myself yet, as I don't use these assets.

 

But you didn't write this explanation for nothing – because the user to whom my original post referred lacks the information you mentioned!

Hey I was having the same issue as you. Downgrading my Race Distribution Framework managed to fix my issue. Personally I play on version 1.6.640 so and I used "Race Distribution Framework-113825-1-5-1-1717512684" (Release data June 4th 2024). If that doesn't work be sure to play around with the RDF version. Hopefully this helps

You are correct here.  I must have been thinking about Cursed Loot. It was years ago and I remembered you could toggle off Straightjacket... or at least reduce the percentage way down.  What I couldn't figure out was why none of the keys from Laura's shop worked?  Then I reloaded DD and voila, the keys started working! Thanks.

Please can anyone offer a complete troubleshooting guide about mouth not opening? I have searched this topic with keywords such as "mouth" and tried to install Mfg fix (including ng) but all in vain.

MFG Fix is required, the NG version is required if you're on 1.6.1170.

If you have DD NG, you need to move over there and ask.

 

If you have other mods that modify gags or expressions, they can be at fault too. Toys and headslide are some examples.

Can't help you with those. For base DD, it's only ever been the MFG Fix, persistent problems have always been do to something else.

Hey i wanna ask rq. I noticed that sometimes my followers will end up super slow even after i freed them from their devices,and saw that their speedmult ends up dropping to 23. is there a way to fix it on the spot or do i have to just reload a save before they got tied?

You can open the console, click on the NPC to select them, and enter: modav speedmult 100

Ay tysm! it worked!

Something else popped up tho,but is more work-aroundable. When my followers or sometimes myself are caught in DD,the wigs/hair just dissappears until either the devices are gone or i re-equip and de-equip the wig or helmet.

@Kimy I discovered an typo/intent bug in a ModEvent in zadLibs.psc

 

At line 1708 and 1712, the comments show that the event name is supposed to be "DeviousActorOrgasmExp", but the actual event name sent at line 1723 is "DeviceActorOrgasmEx" (no "p" at the end).

 

zadLibs is sending the "Ex" version, Unforgiving Devices is sending the "Exp" version. Searching my script library, I find at least one comment in the code about the inconsistency and regressing back to the legacy "DeviceActorOrgasm" event instead, which is also what I will do for now in my own code.

 

I know DD hasn't been updated for a couple years now, but I suggest a hotfix that picks one version and goes with that, or sends both events to maintain compatibility with scripts that have picked one or the other. DD(NG) and UD are using different versions right now, which is a problem for anyone using the new event and hasn't noticed that they are different.

Hi, i am having trouble with the download and deployement of Devious devices on AE. 
No matter which version i choose during the installation through NMM, a message pop up saying that the DLL Plugin has failed to load because it is "incompatible with current version of the game" when i dowloaded for the correct version.
Is it maybe linked with the load orders or the extensions for DD ?

You want to get devious devices NG. it requires the SE version also. Follow the instructions guide on the page.

I'm having an odd problem I can't figure out. There are no restraint or chastity keys in the Devious Devices SE 5.2 mod? I tried looking for them with AddItemMenu, but they just aren't present. I don't think any other mod except Devious Devices NG is overwriting anything. Everything else is working fine, just no restraint or chastity keys. Any advice?

You're looking in the wrong esp. Look in Devious Devices Expansion for the restraints. Some of the keys may be in Devious Devices Integration.
Never use anything from Devious Devices Assets when looking for devices with Add Item Menu.

I went back and checked and DD Expansion is loaded and contains no keys at all. The devices are there, but no keys. The furniture and DD other keys are present, but no chastity or restraint keys. I cannot figure out why. I've run hundreds of mod setups, but never encountered this problem before. Everything else DD related is working.

Uhmm, if you'r read the whole of Zarantha's post, it says: "The keys are in DD Integration" - this mod comes with 4 esp's for downward compatibility, so what's where doesn't seem logic from today's point of view.

I appreciate the guidance. The chastity and restraint keys are also not present in DD Integration. Here is a screenshot:

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I feel like such an idiot... The instructions for setting the output folder as an active mod were right there on the Bodyslide page on Nexus. Sorry for the trouble and thanks again! Everything is displaying correctly now!
