It depends on who you take as the authority on Star Wars; George Lucas, the creator who imagined it all (basically its god), or Disney who currently owns it. According to Lucas, everything in the novels is / was canon. He was an extreme nutcase eccentric and needed full control over everything (partially why he destroyed the original film reels so that no one could steal them). I don't know how much of the novel / comic plot lines he specifically read, but he had to approve them personally, in order for them to be published, and was obsessively neurotic meticulous when it came to approving character creation (including the color of lightsabers).

 

Now, I know I'm resistant to change, and the ordinary course of action is to take Disney as the new authority, accepting any changes they make. That's how retcon works. Going by Disney, any similarities are coincidental, but all the novels (ALL of them), and all the comics (ALL of them), and the video games & toys (to the extent that they can be considered canon, such as action figures of of the Solo kids), never happened. Even parts of the original films no longer happened. ONLY the Disney movies are canon now. Look at "Rogue One". The movie starts with recapping a famous line about all these Bothan spies that died delivering the Death Star plans. I watched the movie. I never saw hundreds of Bothan spies die. There were no Bothan spies. There were no Bothans. There were no spies of any kind.

 

I like to think the Disney movies are like an alternate reality. Similar to DC comics, where there's an Earth-Prime, Earth-1, Earth-2, etc. The new stories are canon, but so are the old ones, even though there are contradictions, because the new stories are of a different reality. Otherwise, I have to accept Disney's new version, and throw EVERYTHING else out the window, with the original films being suspect. But then, what is Star Wars?

Agreed, sort of like what happened with the new Star Trek films.

The Star Wars expanded universe novels will always be canon to me. My favorite is the Thrawn and Daala series. I refuse to take that Disney crap as canon.

@2cool4u_1  Even better, the events of the Batuu pack do not fit anywhere in even the Disney timeline- because Rey and Kylo Renn make appearances, and Kylo is wearing his mask.  Before Episode 7, Rey was nobody, and hadn't been off that miserable sandbox since she was a little girl.  And the Millennium Falcon hadn't been either.  There is simply no time during Episodes 7 or 8 for them to happen, and there is no gap between them- 7 ends with Rey and Luke staring at each other, 8 begins with them actually talking.  In Episode 8, Kylo has a tantrum and smashes his mask, and in Episode 9 some techs just finish up welding it back together for him.  Also it really isn't believable that Rey would have the time or patience to send Chewbacca and the Falcon off to hang out with the smugglers, at any point in the sequels.  And of course, Kylo is dead at the end.

Caleb drops by a lot.  Probably because it's a sure thing, as long as the girls haven't gone to sleep yet.  But maybe also for the thrill of knowing they're two of the very few people who could kill him, if they wanted to.

 

 

Amy would much rather make love than war, but she is into fitness, and this is a fun workout.

 

 

A bit skinny for a Father Winter... but the important part, is that he ISN'T Amy's step father.

 

 

The girls seem to love sparring with their lightsabers.  They went 1-1, and I made them get to bed instead of doing a tie breaker.

Quite a while back, I searched for "instruments,"  and I was surprised that all I found was one guitar, that I didn't really like.  Turns out, if I had looked for "piano" and "guitar," then I would have found exactly what I was after.  There are several upright pianos, and LOADS of CC guitars, and they've been around for ages.  Uprights take up less space, and look normal pushed up against a wall.  Grand pianos, like the default Maxis ones, take a couple more squares, and look wrong unless they have lots of space around them.  And the electronic keyboards, your sim keeps messing with the settings so it sounds stupid, and they keep breaking down.

LOL. I'm pretty sure it was already awoken. Interesting Sims fact: I can text, chat, or invite a hot alien from Sixam over using my phone, but can only get there by a wormhole. Batuu is too far for my phone to make contact of any kind, but my sims can walk there in no time. I used MCCC to unhide Rey and Kylo, and add them to my household, for some test pics. It's a shame lightsabers don't give off any light. Screen caps would look much cooler.

@2cool4u_1  Yeah the Disney "cast members" don't give out their phone numbers.  I see that once Kylo is in your household, he doesn't have his own lightsaber anymore either.  I guess that's to keep anyone from doing what you did, then gifting it to your regular sim.

 

So you can't contact anyone from Batuu, but Amy just discovered that she CAN order cum from Hondo Ohnaka or a stormtrooper.  Can't buy anyone from the Doll Shop though.
