Just getting back in the saddle after a couple of months away from the game. Not sure where I'm going with it this time but I've uninstalled quite a few mods, updated a few and have downloaded a lot to try out.

Will probably be back with some questions and advice seeking as the week goes on.

Well now. Two small problems and both caused by me.

First up. Character creation and I decided to go for a female preset while I was still on the first Nord male in RM. Goodbye beard, hello ponytail. Never to worry, it's only test run.

Next up.

I seem to have somehow managed to uninstall SOS.

Oh the joys of modding Skyareem.

(I'm also wondering why my ENB is making everywhere so bright)

New day and still unable to get out of the Mare. Decided to try the Skeever. Game went into ILS so I went to make a coffee. Came back and I was stood on the step outside the inn. Result! Took a couple of steps and was, as per usual, attacked by that dickhead Ja'Ree or whatever his fucking name is. I'm dead before I can get the cursor on him for a disable. Got him on the reload.

Wandered over to the market area to check out what Dawn of Skyrim Director's Cut has done. (Trying it in conjuction with JK's Skyrim Lite.) Met with this

 

 

 

 

 

No idea who the child is, I didn't check. I think the Redguard is Fironet from INPCs with a makeover from Cuyima. It's going to be a long day methinks.

So, we all know how enthusiastic Lydia is to be carrying our "burdens." My dragonborn finally got sick of her comments when offloading a bunch of dragon bones on her. So she decided to invite her round that night to join in a training session with her wife. Lydia was surprised to hear that her thane's wife was apparently honing her combat skills, but was delighted to help out.

 

She was rather less delighted - and considerably more surprised - when she discovered just what kind of "training" she had signed up for...

Im working on making Falmer sex much more appealing by making superior MNC Falmer textures

I've been experimenting with converting outfits and clothing items to work with a wider variety of character types. Some definitely went better than others.

Thin framed black glasses and dark fur mix a little too well (to the point where one practically needs glasses to be able to see the glasses). Unfortunately, Inigo not only did not pull off the skirt look, part of the skirt seems to have been pulled off.

Still tinkering with my new load order and such.

This is a result of upgrading HCOS. I'm not happy about it. I could do without a mega-coloured animation of dragon on horse on wolf on rabbit.

ENB continues to impress. Not made any changes to the settings yet it looks twice as good as it did before the break. Only change I have made which might be responsible is I installed Cities and villages 512 performance edition-73746-v1 over JK's Skyrim Lite.

Just thought - I upgraded SMIM so I mayhave overwritten something that was previously overwriting SMIM.

 

This is from a follower mod. It said you had to find a 'floating book' near the mill in Riverwood. So I traipse up and down the river bank looking for a floating book.

 

Only blot on the landscape is that I can't get SL Aroused Monitor Widget working. Used it for years without problems.

Thanks but I got that far. I just need the persistence to stick with it. Nothing is intuitively obvious and many things need 3 steps to accomplish a single desired outcome. Everything I've read says that once I get used to it it will be EASY. Well I've made some modifications of existing mods for my game to suit my style but whenever I want to move forward with an honest-to-God mod it finds a new way to frustrate me. ??

She's not a Smurf, she's a Riekling. She's from a mod but comes with a playable option. My leanings for my next game are either small grotesque female or extra-large grotesque male*. Currently still fine-tuning my mods and watching my plug-ins move ever closer to 255.

Nice timing with the CK vid - might well come in very handy, very soon.
