Eventually we made it, and the first thing to do is warming our bones.

Is that from ESF Companions, Growl or something else?  I suppose the vanilla game never had Don't You Know Who / WHAT I Am options because you just never could become something early.  Hircine's Ring and the Companions are close but Neloth's reaction to you being the arch mage is probably the most true bit of that whole guild quest.  You probably are no better than an apprentice candidate to him. Even if you had mastery level in a couple schools, he's still got what... 400 years of practice on you? (short of some Thalmor battle wizard or Psijic monk trainee).

Oh ? an island !

Perhaps you stumbled over the same issue that I have (had). If I might point you shamelessly to a question-thread in the technical support section:

I'm bound to be in the same "island surrounded by open ocean" setting.

If you have any better ideas to get the "endless ocean" feeling instead of a sharp edge of the world?

I think I finally have my mods sorted and can start a proper playthrough. Here we are at the end of Bleak Falls, but even this beginner dungeon was not without its devious mishaps. I even had to hobble my way back to Riverwood for some help, because I meant to level alteration and conjuration here but couldn't really cast anything with my hands tied.

Blondi (named after my dear, long since deceased cat) probably thinks DEC means Damn Enchanted Chests. But he can't complain so it's all good.

Letting everyone in Windhelm know what I think of racism.

Your blade will suffer if you let it stay that dirty ?

At least, I suggest to wipe it clean (e.g. with their clothes )

My sword's bloodstained all the time. Even if I'd clean it up, it wouldn't stay that way for more than a few minutes.

Seriously, very nice shot.

So I found a mod that allowed NPC's to craft for you. I much preferred The crafting in Witcher 3 to have Smiths really serve a purpose and not just be merchants.

The problem is, I also use Mortal Weapons and Armor, which I love but has it's own foibles...

Spoiler

Because the game was never designed for such things the Mod authors had write a script to remove items from the players inventory and then add them again, modified. MW&A has to do this a lot as it updates your equipment and if spam craft (like making loads of Leather Bracers to get your smithing up) it will sometimes break and you'll start dropping the bracers with the debug message saying you cannot possible carry anymore.

So trying to get an Enchanted weapon sharpened it seems the two mods had a falling out and made me drop everything, except some arrows and a couple of items of jewellery.

For now I'm doing nothing. Lol!  I finished all of the guild quests, DLCs, and the main story.  My character is on top of a mountain, embracing the mighty power of the dragons as the Dragonborn.  I decided not to kill Party Snacks....err....Paarthurnax.   I definitely did not join the Blades because I heard rumors that you don't get any important loot out of the quest line.  I'm sure eventually I'll come back to this game like I did so many times with different female characters I created back in the day, but I no longer have those characters.  For now I have my female Breton on PC and I have a hot looking female Dunmer I made on Xbox One S.

There are plenty of interesting "variants" that could keep your character busy for quite a while here on LL, Let me recommend my favorite: Paradise Halls Enhanced (PAHE) by CliftonJD along with its "expansions" Home Sweet Home and And You Get A Slave by Musje. You can bring slavery to Skyrim and, depending on your perspective, get all kinds of loot - in terms of human (NPC) property.
