God how I love this mod.  Went from regular CTDs to rare (cut script load a lot).

I would like for you to consider a request;  recognize if PC is dragonborn, and if she is, then the rapists calling out to other men to join in raping the dragonborn.  I don't always play the dragonborn quest line and it's annoying to have someone call her that when she's not.

maybe for you, but not for me.  I'll role play the way I want, not the way someone else wants. I have mods that completely do away with anything relating to the dragonborn quest line.

Since we are discussing the thing ... +1 on the no-teleport thing.

 

And since it is about personal preferences and opinions: When getting raided in my sleep, the plausible outcomes in my mind are

  1. getting left at the same spot -> because the attacker is done and has more important things to do now
  2. getting "rescued" and nursed back to health by a friendly person at the same spot where I was attacked -> basically no difference to 1, plus a "say-thank-you" scene with a random NPC afterwards
  3. getting "rescued" and carried by a friendly person to the nearest dwelling and nursed back to health -> makes sense when I would be dying otherwise
  4. getting dragged to the attackers lair -> IF the attacker has a lair and thinks you are worthy to be kept (some kind of hand over to a slavery mod perhaps ?)
  5. getting enslaved and sold -> big shout out for "Simple Slavery"
  6. getting killed -> end of game, boring, thank you

 

Most relevant to be done by SLAdv

possible variation, could make sense in SLAdv

we already have mods for that => let them do the work, handover and be done with it, no point of further handling in SLAdv

no point in that at all

 

Conclusion for me => no need for teleporting IN SLAdv

There is no dialogue anyway as of now, but if I add some with references to the dragonborn, I will do it based on progression of the main quest. Whether your character is the dragonborn or not, nobody should refer to you as such unless they are aware of it.

 

So here is the story of what led to the inclusion of the "teleportation" after sleep rape. I had disliked the passout for quite some time (actually I always disliked it), because the screen did not fade to black entirely, and really the entire purpose was to mask them despawning. It felt unfinished and was very jarring to me. Ideally, what I wanted to do was that the attackers will simply leave the area and leave you alone. Sounds so simple but I could simply not make that work. In the end I had to do something, so I eventually came up with how it is now. The idea is that you escape and make it to the next town. I know this is not the best solution either and is definitely not final. As a band-aid for now I can add an option to suppress it, the attackers will then simply despawn.

? Adding an AI package that makes them run to whiterun and despawn out of sight?

Maybe use two subsequent waypoint with bandit lairs like WhiteRiverWatch->RedoransRetreat so wherever the attack happens the attacker will run out of sight (to be despawned).

 

Edit:

Second idea: keep that fade out, combine with flashing in the  image space and smart positioning

  1. fade out
  2. position the player in a suffering idle, maybe force 1st person camera
  3. flash the screen in pain white or red, create tunnel vision, like in
  4. maybe cover with fog,
  5. walk the attacker behind the player, maybe let the attacker walk anywhere now
  6. despawn
  7. reset flashing, restore vision, switch off fog
  8. return control to the player

3rd idea:

  1. create a new cell: "SLADV-sky", completely empty, bright white light, or red-humiliating fog, maybe clouds
  2. set marker at player position
  3. teleport player into SLADV-sky
  4. let player fall endlessly through the void
  5. despawn attacker
  6. return teleport, force suffering idle for the player
  7. wait a bit, insert moaning here
  8. return controls to the player

Also tried this, minus the extra cell (not needed, any cell will do), but the double loading screen was awkward.

Ah, yes. Loading screen :classic_sad: I forgot.

 

So I would come back to my second idea and doing it like a magician in a theater:

Raise fog, play the drums, create a distraction, focus the attention on something shiny, distract again, open the big hatch in the floor, make the virgin disappear. Et voila. :classic_angel:

There was at least one mod on the nexus that won't let people realize who you are. Maybe uninstalling it after you've been revealed as a Dragonborn?

Indeed.

 

Personally, I'm fine with the black fadeout vanilla manages.

Maybe it's my ENB?

 

But if you want it black as black ... put the camera inside a black box, faces looking inward. You don't have to move the camera, just spawn the box.

Lock controls so camera stays put.

 

There's no accounting for pests who have modified their camera frustum though.

 

 

Alternatively, fix baddies not running away, it's just more lame packages not updating.

 

Skyrim won't path a load of guys over that distance, all at once. It schedules pathing jobs like the tax office schedules refunds. Your scheme was too lazy.

Make ONE guy path, make the others follow him. Make sure his package updates.

 

I hate Skyrim AI, it's like making a ship in a bottle, out of needles that are made of really fragile glass, while driving off-road in a bus.

Look sideways at the CK and it goes "no package for YOU!"

I must regretfully report what seems to be another bug with .71c, at least in my game.

Crime reports dont work again. After one sex act, the crime system seems to get stuck in the after sex grace period, affecting all crime reports.

Before the update, it worked perfectly on .70d with the extra patches.

 

After .71c. it will work until theres a sex act. Then it shorts out.

 

Am I the only one experiencing this. Is it working well for other people on .71c?

 

Edit:

Retested. Verified that if I don't upgrade, the crime system continues working fine in the very same save.

If it makes a difference, I upgraded from .70d with the 3 patches you put out back in late december, just before xmas.

There is a minor interference with mod Dragonborn in Distress ( https://www.loverslab.com/topic/116018-dragonborn-in-distress/ ), or maybe any mod that involves jail time. Or why not just vanilla jail too. Player shouldn't be forced to pay tax while in jail. Afterall that time is meant for paying the debt back to 0. The above mentioned mod makes player spend many days in jail, depending on crimes committed.

 

As i was trying to do the Whiterun quest for redguard female. I went to visit the npc in the jails and to pay his 100 gold bounty, but guard won't talk to me other than "Wait, i know you!". That's because i had 400g bounty from this mod, and i can approve of the tax for most of the time. We just don't have any way to pay back what we owe, so i went and snatched an apple from the market. Could have paid it off there and then but wanted to test the jail so... Even if i paid straight away it propably simulates a day or more of time passed, causing tax anyway and me being unable to finish the quest.

 

Hint; if anyone knows of a mod or would be able to make a way to reduce those minor bounties off? Normally guard doesn't approach you until the bounty reaches 1000g or so.

 

Also a note on poverty system. First off i don't see explanation for how it works. And secondly i get maximum penalty (50% carryweight reduction set in MCM) while having almost 3000g. I wouldn't consider that too poor. It might also be better if the penalty would be set linearly towards player configured gold value.

Have you looked at PaySexCrime here on LL? You can set various values to pay off your crime via sex with guards if that's what you're looking for.

On the old sleep rape fade to black, that actually looked good to me.  I never noticed the attackers despawning at the end.  By knowing how the tricks were done, the creator can be the harshest judge of his own creation.  I don't recall anyone else complaining about that.  So it might not be worth doing more to fix fade to black, just add a toggle to use that rather than flee and move on to working on other things that you'd like to do.

Do crime reports still work after sex acts for everyone else or do they get stuck (on my game, the debug messages indicate the system gets stuck in an after sex grace period as soon as my pc is involved in a sex act after updating SLAdventures)?

I made an update yesterday but then Loverslab went down. I'd like to address the animation tag issues mentioned earlier, then I will upload it.

Everyone should have this, but it is fixed in the update.

I made some changes so taxation should no longer occur in jail.

The poverty system only reduces your carry weight. It does not scale. I checked if the tooltip was missing for some reason, but it is not. Is it not clear enough?

 

I have also added options for what happens after sleep rape. You can choose between the new escape mechanic or the old passout. If you want, you can also trigger a robbery.

A small idea that I thought of randomly while setting the Proximity Rape on my new playthrough profile. What if there was a post-rape option that could lead the character being drugged and/or drunk?

 

I imagined it as the following: The gang had their fun with the character and they wanna go; however, they neither want to have a bounty on them since the victim could report them to the nearest guards, they don't want to kill a potential "sex object" nor they are connected to any sex slaves' trader (Now this might be an option, do not recall if Simple Slavery is another post-rape result). So they agreed to get the victim drugged with skooma (Or other drinks that comes with Skooma Whore if installed) until she "passes out" and forget who were they. I know you have issues with the whole pass out thing that's why I kept it in between quotation marks so you could fiddle around with it.

 

Getting drunk as a post-rape don't seem that logical but I guess it could be another option for those who don't play with drug-related mods.

Thats not really a bug caused by this mod.

That happens to alot of Sexlab mods when sex starts just when your about to leave the area.

It kinda try to teleports you back to the last location where sex initiated. But it fails and teleport you into the void or below the world.

 

Oh and nothing to do with the bug but. Maybe this has been changed in later versions?

Right now when you get chased by a attacker and they fail after 30 seconds. They can just try again and again until success. It seems the chase part has no cooldown?

I failed to reproduce this, the cooldown was triggered after a failed pursuit. I suppose with a low cooldown, the next attack can happen shortly afterwards?

Yep. It's exactly as you describe it shadow866. That's what's happening. If the PC gets caught and hasn't gone through a cell-changing door, the PC gets teleported back to where she was when the "following started. It looks like SL Adventures is trying to move the PC back to the point where the "following" started, but if the PC has gone through a cell-changing door, the PC gets teleported into either an ocean or world or the perpetually falling blue screen.

 

I noticed that Teutonic uploaded an update. Maybe s/he's already figured this out.

I wished you said this before the update, since I could have fixed it. The "teleporting back" is not a bug, but a feature, however, it should teleport you to the place where the rape started, not the pursuit. 

 

Luckily, you can turn this off in the MCM on the rape page (turn on "Do not reposition Victim during Rape").

ok, I'm no modder and totally unaware of how things actually works, but in my opinion it can frequently happen whit rape mods becouse most of the times you are totally unaware of being raped ^.^ because of a certain lack of "transitions". when condions are met your potential aggressor is often involved in some too important vanilla idle.  maybe just chopping some wood o.O. ok ok I can imagine A LOT of interesting uses for chops ^.^ but that is, nothing is happening on screen and you keep playng as normal and maybe pass into another cell, enter somewhere, fast travel or wathever.

things should be faster, as it happen when NPCs are under attack. they instantly stops any idles and keep defending themselves. The same mechanics should be added to aggressors too. It would makes things more reasonable, and might prevents such accidents. IMHO
