Having a little bit of a problem installing it

When the mcm appears, i activate it and it says done but doesnt detect any plugins that i have

says dragonborn not found, dawnguard not found. etc

Then i exit and enter the menu again mod says running but still hasnt detected the plugins

I fixed this on my game by unistalling adventures, cleaning my save and then reinstalling.

I then ran into another problem. The "Proximity Rape" menu in the MCM is non-functional.

What made TDF Aroused Rape, almost perfectly useless, is that NPC arousal is a roulette game at best.

I forget what it was, but another mod I used actually generated arousal levels for NPCs so they had different levels. Also if you set the arousal needed for action to be around 50 your presence in town for too long will be enough to generate several candidates. The problem I had with it was the brawl feature frequently lead to actual fighting which leads to town based grand melees which lead to prison stays for me.

Now you could use fuz on an SLA rape approach'er if you see them fast enough, but it would likely turn into a town based grand melee with your either OP Dragonborn wiping out the town or your more reasonably powered Dragonborn in prison. ?

My theory is the problem is related to MiniNeeds. People who have MiniNeeds installed, should not have the problem, people who don't, should. Here is a patch that removes all script references to MiniNeeds. Please try it out and let me know if it fixes things (the previous patch is not required). Otherwise I need someone to give me a Papyrus log.

I am not running MiniNeeds the items that are not crossed off should be found. Let me know if you need additional information or would like me to try something, I am at the keyboard ready to do some experimenting. ?

Just to recap my systems current state

I got the proximity rape issue with it not being enable-able.

I attempted to correct the issue by doing a clean install

That corrected the proximity rape enable issue but created the new issue with SLA no longer detecting mods for plugin support.

I attempted to use this to upgrade directly from 0.70, and it seems to have worked. All options are unlocked and proximity rape can be changed, and it sees the plugins fine now.

Can you send me a papyrus log? It's enough to boot up the game, load your save file and wait a few seconds.

Hey there, i just want to weight in with the problems people are having with the 0.71 version.

I can't click on any entry in the SLA MCM any more.

No select, checkbox, etc works anymore (I tried waiting, reseting MCM via popular setstage command and clean uninstall/install).

I'm really looking forward to using this new update it sounds great, but, take your time with fixing. As a programmer myself i know that sometimes stuff just breaks and it keeps you forever to figure out whats going on.

Great work so far and I'll patiently wait for a more usable 0.71.

I can, but there has been a new development.

I got it to work! ?

Steps

1. Remove SLA and make a clean save

2. Re-install SLA .70d

3. run game and let all install operations for .70d complete so that version is fully running.

4. install .71 then merge fix patch(s)

5. Re-run Skyrim and hit the update button.

Plugins detected, and proximity rape is enabled.

I am thinking the patches aren't working because they aren't causing the MCM update option to run. (maybe?)

but here is my papyrus (not likely to be much help as it will just show a functioning SLA)

Papyrus.0.log

Sadly I do not always run papyrus logging so I do not have a prefixed version...

But, hey! I made a fix procedure that's gotta count for something right?? Ok, I'll go back to my corner now... ?

After merging this patch with version 0.71 of the mod, Proximity Rape is working with me. Thank you for the quick hot-fix.

A small request if I may. Could you please add in the explanation, and an example, of the Or Not, Or Double and Or Triple just like you have for the other settings? I'd love to make better detection rules than I had before.

Good to hear. The patches do not require an MCM update and they were working on my end, after I could reproduce the problem. Anyway, I will direct users to your procedure if merely installing the patches won't help, thank you for sharing it.

This development means I will have to drop MiniNeeds support after all.

Glad it is working now. I want to add explanations for them, I just keep forgetting about it. ?

Hey guys, I can't make MCM menu to show up, I've tried every suggestion I've seen here - F5/F9, new game, setstage ski_configmanagerinstance etc. Nothing work. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had an issue with that, uninstalled a bunch of other mods that I chose to install at the same time and fixed it. Haven't had time to mess around with which mod it is that caused issues, but it's likely one of these three: Jobs of Skyrim, Sexlab Diversity, or Dynamic Things. Installed about 10 other mods at the same time, so not 100% sure one of those three was the culprit, but they're the only ones that add anything MCM related, so that's my guess. Otherwise I had genesis surface spawns and a few follower mods.

Did you install MiniNeeds as well?

Side question

on the topic of cum coverage... (that is not a sentence I ever thought I would type)

In the menu, it asks how many layers is considered covered. But then each debuff sets its own number of layers for the debuff to happen. So why is it necessary to set the number of layers for covered? What impact does covered have?

It decides if you are committing the crime or not. And yes, it could be changed so the crime has a slider how many layers are allowed.

No mini-needs. Had Ineed in, but no mini-needs either when the MCM appeared or when it didn't.

I'm pretty sure Sexlab Eager NPCs had that option, and setting it only to Uniques would both solve the problem (most townspeople, excepting Inconsequential NPCs will be unique) and not overload scripts or save bloat.

I would assume for OR variances:

OR NOT would be 1 valid condition if it is FALSE.

OR DOUBLE would be 2 valid conditions if it is TRUE

OR TRIPLE would be 3 valid conditions if it is TRUE.

here is how a possible setup might look:

Nudity : OR

Night : OR DOUBLE

In City : Either Not

Unarmed : OR

Aroused : OR

Wounded IGNORE

Exhausted : IGNORE

Thane : OR NOT

Restrained OR DOUBLE

Collared : OR

Drunk : EITHER

Drugged : EITHER

Conditions Required : 5

so first of to be vulnerable at all you must be either: drunk, drugged, or not in a city;

and then if it is not night and you are not restrained you would have to be: nude, unarmed, aroused, collared, and not the thane.

If it is night or you are restrained only THREE of nude, unarmed, aroused, collared, or not thane have to be true.

If it is night and you are restrained, only ONE of nude, unarmed, aroused, collared, or not thane have to be true.

This is how I was thinking of setting up mine but the chances of none of the 5 singles being true when I am restrained is ridiculously low especially considering that I am not thane anywhere yet (new game), guess that means I will just have to avoid people at night time.

As an aside I feel this kind of setup partially counters the not realistic that you cant fight back statements recently in that first off you have to be away from guards, or not in your right mind to be vulnerable at all, and then you aren't vulnerable unless there is not much you can do to stop them, or your character wants some anyway.

This is 100% correct.

This is not a big issue for me, but I might investigate the possibility of being able to fight off the attackers during the pursuit phase. You would still have to be vigilant, you have to attack them, they won't just become hostile, and it will count as assault or potentially murder, with all its consequences. This would not only give you the ability to defend yourself, but also give an in-universe reason not to do so, especially if combat rape is a possibility. I'll have to see how that works out.

Bug Report:

Presently, if the mod is installed when a new game is started, AND Devious Devices is also installed when a new game is started, if Sexlab Adventures is installed (via the MCM) before the player configures Devious Devices, Sexlab Adventures seems to fail to recognize the Devious Devices is present.

Most of my knowledge of scripting is from what I've seen other mods do, so take what I'm about to suggest with a grain of salt... but you might be able to set it so that if you draw or use a weapon or spell it might scare off pursuers. That might make it a bit too easy to escape if warnings are enabled, as your only danger would be if suddenly jumped, but it would make a bit of sense. Attacking the player when they're running away and/or have their weapons sheathed, sure. Jumping them when they've got a sword in their hands or just thrown a lightning bolt into the ground a few feet from you would likely be a hell of a turnoff.

Nothing has changed about that. You probably have the same issue as everyone else. You did not install any of the patches, did you? (I am about to upload a new version, so you don't need to.)

It would indeed be too easy to escape this way. Besides, you know she would never really attack them. That would be assault, and she knows fully well the guard does not like that.
