For example, for a private club to have a publicly viewed tab? And what levels of permissions are possible in clubs? i.e. if it is possible for a private club to have a public tab, can it be generally view-only but give certain "public" members posting access? EDIT: NVM, probably better to just use two separate clubs, I guess. Still I do wonder about permission levels. No, the accessibility level of a group is global for the group. And, yes, two clubs can be created in case you need one public and one private.
Kastagir Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Why have you not enabled secure connections?

My browser never redirected me to the HTTPS version of the site which is kinda dangerous for logins specially when you don't notice those things.
RitualClarity Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 (edited) This is really strange. The new site shows almost a thousand post difference (less) than the old sight.... lol.. I know I didn't post 1000 post on the old site since the start of this upgrade.... Or did I. That was alot of post I just did :P Edited November 13, 2017 by ritualclarity

Eva and Ivy always laugh at me when I come to the kitchen sometimes and I say: Why did I came and what did I need. :D On topic: Ashal, can't wait to read the good news: NEW SITE IS WORKING PROPERLY!!! Good luck with another attempt for upgrade. :)

dibz666 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 The new site is good so far Been loving the layout, I don't like complaining but I have a new issue. Everything for the most part is all good, My problem is with there being no friend system now & replacing it with a follower system. I respect your right to do as you see fit your website & I have no problem with the addition of a follower system...... That being said, I must say I personally HATE that you guy's have chosen to remove the friend system altogether & really wish/hope it will come back. As I said there's nothing wrong with the follower system but in my personal opinion its not a good replacement for a friend system. I have no problem letting others follow me but I don't wanna have to follow someone just to be friends with them &/or find them on the site. In the end I insist you guy's do what you want, It is your right......But personally regarding the follower system replacing the friend system, I HATE IT. 1

I must to agree, friends are friends and what are followers ?? there is no connection to these members, a good friend (no matter if virtual) is a good friend for me. ;)
Guest Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 (edited) Yea, I think I'm not dumb :D but I noticed that there is difference in "follower" and "friend" on the new site and it makes me bit confused. I don't mind the difference if it will be totally separated for I can follow somebody on the forum but we don't have to be friends and reverse. Therefore, since the change looks like to be permanent, my opinion is that those two things should be separated. Edited November 13, 2017 by EvalovesEP
Veladarius Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Ok, I am somewhat confused. The post at the start of this topic said the site was moved to the original www.loverslab.com but I am still accessing it via the dev.loverslab.com and get the old site if I go to www.loverslab.com. Any idea why? Here are screenshots of my browser showing the address as well as today's date and time at the bottom right. I think I am lost somewhere in time.
DeepBlueFrog Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 It was changed back over the weekend because of some issues with style sheets. The best bet at the moment is to keep going to dev.loverslab.com. It will automatically redirect you to the new site when it is ready or keep you on dev for the time being.

Technically problems with performance, but yes, use dev.llab.com it will be the new site as soon Ashal will fix the problems.

Darkening Demise Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I notice some hiccups when scrolling through comments like a slight lag/jerk/bump otherwise its amazing.
dibz666 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I have a simple question for the Dev's related to my last post, If you guy's are willing to answer. I will accept whatever choice is made, But I need to know. Are you going to add a friend system to the new site? Or is the follower system replacing it?
gregathit Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I'm not sure you are going to get a straight answer right now. The most pressing concern is to get the bugs ironed out and get the change over completed. Once that is done, then there will be opportunity for Ashal to explore what is and isn't possible with the new software.
dibz666 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 (edited) As I said, You guy's should do what you want. But side stepping the question just ensures I'll ask it again. Edited November 14, 2017 by dibz666
DeepBlueFrog Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Hey again - quick question. I saw some threads have orange, pinned messages at the top. Is that something we should be able to do or is it something for admins? I would love to be able to do that but I don't see any option for it on my threads.
Guest Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 (edited) Must compliment very fast and very good avatar changing and the wall changing. i'm the person who loves to change my avatar often and in comparison with the old site, this one works perfect. Edited November 14, 2017 by EvalovesEP

It is this option, but I am not sure yet if it is just for moderators. I will check soon and let you know.
Outlast1 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I like this upgrade its so much easier to read :P and shiny too!! I am gonna go pitch a tent somewhere around here :P 1
Shadowhawk827 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Liking it so far, BUT... 1) my security software is still warning me that the logins are unsecured 2) the main forums page is a bear to read in the default color scheme. White, light blue and light grey???
ongwk733 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 (edited) I know you guys just started the switch to the main address again, but immediately the site looks wonky again. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. I'm looking forward to having the new site on the main domain again. :) Edit: Deleted browser cache, yeah the site still looks wonky.
