what what whaaaat?

my post was about the papyrusUtil version that is included in SLF for LE

unless I misunderstood everything, and everyone is talking about SE ?

ahh, ok. not sure where the confusion came in then. think i made the mistake of assuming everybody was talking se cuz the issues being reported only exist in se due to an update. we think since its only the papyrus that's not saving proper that it would be the bad end of the update. pahe and home sweet home seem uneffected by it

Keep in mind they are not enslaved right away. Every once in a while, one of them might be moved to the slave pool. And every once in a while one of them will be drawn from that pool to be auctioned, assigned to a random NPC owner, or placed in the Restless Hunter cells for sale.

And you can track this (sort of). The exiles are normally in the Palace of the Kings or the Blue Palace (depending on which side lost. You can travel there and watch them disappear, one at a time. Once one you are interested in is gone you know that you can start looking for them elsewhere, as they have entered the pool.

That sounds like a similar bug, I have the feeling they messed up saving stuff to forms when they implemented support for forms in .esl files.

I'm hoping the storageutil guy will issue a fix at some point. If not I will look at jcontainers..

well from what DC found the data does get saved but it wont load. so say on sgo4 u take and put a gem and make a guard preg. if u save game that data is in the co save but when u go to load the game again the data doesnt load for the temp npc.

Yes I found something similar... but for any NPC.

maybe this helps others too:

if the mod "i'll take the display model" is installed, but in LO below AYGAS = AYGAS MCM will fail to register

solution: Displaymodel esp above the PAHE series, but especially above AYGAS in LO

Little feature request: Is it possible to make the text when selling slaves use the actual given (nick)name instead of the generic name? Having 5x "bandit" and accidentally selling the wrong one is annoying. If this isn't possible it would at least be nice to be able to distinguish them somehow (like adding race+gender to the selection text or an extra entry that allows pointing one out or something).

Also, despite this issue that ownership info is lost it works pretty great, so, kudos.

EDIT: Oh and I noticed that even though ownership info is lost, the slaves are still following their owners properly. Maybe that can be used to restore ownership info...?

I've never used this but it should give you (Something like) what you want:

Unfortunately not :( Skyrim has very limited functions to make dynamic text like names appear in dialogue, and apparently it always shows the original name rather than the new name.

To a degree, yes. But only for up to 20 slaves, if there are more they will get swapped in and out of the active slots and their owner info is lost.

i noticed soulgem oven is able to detect the slave's name, but haven't figured out if that method can also be used with dialogues

I have commented on the problems MME and AYGAS have with PapyrusUtil 3.8 and lost data fields.

Much to my chagrin, I am no longer able to recreate the MME problem with a new playthrough. Seems broken if the data came from a pre 3.8 save.

So the question is:

Does Musje's test case simulate a new playthrough of AYGAS?

Has anyone encountered the slave lost owner info on a new playthrough?

Is there a way to speed up slavery with this?

This thing with Slaverun complement very well so far, except for one detail.

It takes forever to raise slavery throughout Skyrim. Slaverun does its thing through a questline, but this mod needs you to personally take it upon your shoulders to take PAH slavery to every town.

Not to mention every slave has to be trained and it takes like 10000 sex acts to fully train one, you can always whip them for hours and make somewhat of a decent slave at least at one field of training, but NPCs still tell you they're bad slaves. I have a reputation to keep, you know...

The slavery levels increase faster if you set the mod to "easy", but it still takes a bit of effort. I've noticed that even at that setting it takes too long.

I'm thinking to adjust the rate of increase, and make it exponential, i.e. the more slavery there is overall, the faster the level will increase. And perhaps also let each hold pick up a point or 2 if a neighbouring hold already has high slavery (so they can see the obvious benefits of slavery ? )

I also have to review the economics module a little. You get decent prices for slaves sold to shopkeepers or farmers but a generic NPC will almost always say they aren't impressed, unless you have high sex stats.

As was noted by AWHA, the author is also unable to replicate this. Did you perhaps update PapyrusUtil in the mean time? Perhaps updating the version with the one on Nexus fixes the problem, but doesn't fix an existing (corrupted) save. I will try this as well later.

I tested this on a new game. I will re-test tonight, with Aygas as well as with the code posted by the author of PapyrusUtils.

There may be other factors, such as multiple values being saved on a particular NPC, or other mods being present. My test setup for SE includes SexLab and such; if the test code produces errors in that setup, I will try a new install with no other mods.

By the way, does anyone have data on performance differences between JContainers and PapyrusUtils?

JContainers could be used to replace PapyrusUtils but before I consider that route, I'd like to know how well it performs.

From everything I know and read - PapyrusUtil 3.8 is identical to the one in Sexlab 163 Beta 8.

It only exists as a standalone for those people who do not use Sexlab. Well it is hosted on Nexus...

They rest of us don't need it and should not use it because of confusion factors.
