00000014 referenced by sl in that error would again be the player reference so i'm going to dig a little deeper in the log to see if anything leads upto that or if the sl error is of its own issue to report

digging deeper i found issues with wet and cold along with pahe core all associated with the player until finally i found the same issue in your log as baba:

since both of you already tried updating racemenu and baba tried starting a new game, for now i'm going to have to advise the same as baba if you have racemenu morphs for sse, it needs to be updated

the error you posted wasn't coming from racemenu or nilO, but other scripts relying on nilO. you didn't download nilO, but installed it as apart of racemenu. in oldrim we have something called race menu morphs for both cbbe and uunp. if you have a similar thing for sse, that needs to be updated for the changes as well

So...  I started a new game with just Racemenu.  No other mods (except for Alternate Lives because I didn't want to sit through the opening scene) were even loaded (MO2 unchecked all mods).  I'm getting that error with just Racemenu.  And CBBE was updated, by extension the Racemenu CBBE, to the latest version with my regular game...

 

Additional stuff...  I'm not sure that error is the root cause.  I took out Racemenu and the stuff that depends on Racemenu and started a new game...  That error did not appear in the pap logs, but when I restarted a game after selling a slave...  That slave I just sold for testing purposes became unowned, even if he is still following the original buyer...  Same symptoms without that error would, to me, indicate that the root cause is something else...

Hi all, 

 

Sorry, haven't been able to play for a few days, but my setup is pretty much the same as baba. as soon as I play I will activate loggin and check if I get the same errors. On a side note, @CliftonJD if you can recommend the setup of versions that we should use I can roll back to it and tests it.

Another thing I tried...

 

I started a new game with just the PAHE mods: Core, HSH and AYGAS.  I did have alternate start and skyui loaded too, and needless to say I did have the other mandatory mods loaded (ZAZ and Sexlab).  Same stuff as before, I captured and sold a slave.  After selling the slave, I saved and restarted the game.  The slave was unowned after reloading.  According to the dialog, the slave was owned before reloading.  This is without any other mod (I was hoping to start seeing if there was some type of mod conflict).  Either the game is loading with a null player or something else is wrong. 

 

I did reinstall Skyrim SE from steam before this in an attempt to see if it was a corrupted update (I even did a file integrity check before and after reinstalling).

Everything is up to date.

 

Now there is another issue. I am in Breezehome with 2 slaves. I restrain one and leave the house with the other. As soon as I leave, I get a message saying that the active slaves now are 1 down from 2. I go back to the house and the restrained slave has vanished... :(

That really smells like a papyrusUtil issue. Slaves and owners are identified as such by Factions (that gives them the right dialogue), and the slave following the owner means that he is still loaded into an "active slot". But the actual owner is stored in PapyrusUtil, that that is the information that determines the "owners mark" when you ask for that.

 

Did the slave become unowned right away, or after you zoned out and came back, or after saving, quiting and loading the game again later?

 

I'll see if I can at least reproduce this. I'll need some time to install Skyrim on another computer and run the latest version of SE

In a nutshell, the answer is both the last two.  This is what I noticed:

 

1)  First time it happened, I sold slaves to earn money for Lakeview.manor.  I don't remember if I saved and logged out, but when I went back to Falkreath, the slaves were unowned with some of them in a T-Pose.  I assume the system was trying to cache them but got hung.  I have a few scripted mods; so, I chalked that up to too many scripts running at the same time.  Worrying, sure.  But I plugged along hoping it was a hiccup.

 

2) I decided to sell slaves to get to the point of being able to whore them out.  I was curious at this point.  I sold a couple of slaves in Falkreath (open world Skyrim), entered the Salof's store, sold him a slave, went back to Falkreath (open world Skyrim) and check the status of the slaves.  They were fine.  They were following their owners and were recoginized by dialog as owned slaves.  In addition, Scent of Sex had a slave owner faction for owners and slave type faction attached to the sold slaves.  I went to Dead Man's Drink at this point to sell the remainder of the slaves for the perk.  I sold various slaves in the inn and logged out (quit to desktop) in front of a slave.  I immediately logged back in and checked that slave.  It wasn't recognized as being owned; the owner claimed to have sold that slave awhile ago.  That applied to all of the slave still in the inn.  According to Scent of Sex, the owners still had the slave owner faction; however, the slaves had lost the slave type faction.  The slave was still following the owner obediently though.

 

3) At this point, I was very curious.  I sold a remaining slave (I had already got the perk at this point) and went adventuring.  I don't remember exactly where I went, but I do know that it would have forced a unload of the current zone (I think I went to Dawnstar and Stonehills to sell some ugly slaves to the mine).  When I came back, that slave had lost the slave type faction and was unowned according to dialog.  I forgot the check the owner's faction; however, he had sold the slave awhile ago according to dialog.  The slave was following the owner obediently.  I will point out that former owners did eventually lose their slave owner faction, but it was not immediate.  I think it took hours of gameplay before they lost that faction.

 

4) With debug messages on, I noticed, when I was reentering Falkreath on a seperate occasion, that Delacourt (Dead Man's Drink's bard) had a slave.  At the time, he didn't have one.  The slave I sold him "disappeared" already, and he had lost the slave owner faction by this point.  This was after hours and hours of gameplay after my perk acquisition.  I went to the inn, and he did have a slave following him.  The slave was owned, and Delacourt had reacquired the slave owner faction.  I assume the bastard wanted to buy a slave the wouldn't disappear on him.  :)Everything seemed to work according to the mods description.  I left the inn and went to the general store to sell loot.  I returned to the inn, and the slave was still correct.  Its dialog stated Delacourt was the owner, and it had the slave type faction.  As above, I logged out (quit to desktop) and logged back in.  The slave was unowned and had lost the slave type faction.  Poor Delacourt.

 

5) As a final check, I started a new game with a fresh install of Skyrim SE.  This game only had PAHE, HSH and AYGAS active.  Actually, I did activate Alternative Start to skip the opening sequence and SkyUI to access MCM related menus.  In addition, the requirements for PAHE were obviously active.  I captured a lone Stormcloak soldier and sold him in Rorikstead.  The sale was fine until I reloaded the game.  The slave became unowned on reload.  This was with no other script intensive modules active...

 

Based on my observation, I've done programming and some game development in the past, it seems that reloading a zone causes the slave type faction to disappear from the sold slave.  Now, I don't know how you have your mod is setup; so, I can't say with any certainty what exactly is happening.  I don't try to dissect or judge a program (or mod) without knowing how it is structured, unless it's a database system (my specialty in real-life).   But, I hope it helps you figure it out...

out of curiosity, i'd like to see that log so if aygas still spits out the same garbage to the log, at least we'll know for fact that script needs to be updated for the new sse (not just outside influence causing it to spit at us)

editor called sse edit from nexus, if you type or paste 00000014 into the formid box at the top, does that still  return as the PlayerRef

thanks for all the help tho.

unfortunately i'm not able to actually help play or test sse, i can only help advise on any script errors or review the log for problems there. sounds to me like it would be best to avoid the most current version of sse and try the most recent sse before current

not seeing a fresh capture in the log, but seeing some issues with aygas. were the slaves left in breezehome transfered from aygas to pahe in this playthru before getting removed from the game or were they already in pahe and just now left to breezehome before being removed

Yes, SSEEDIT does show 00...14 as the PlayerRef.  I've included the last four logs.  0 should be the reload of the scene.  1...  That's either a reload or the save I sold the slave.  Actually, that's probably 2...  I think I the sequence of events by pap log number is:

 

2) Enslaved and sold a slave

1) Checked, re-enslaved and resold the slave

0) Checked again (I can be a little anal about things on occasion) and got really depressed about the bug...

 

This sequence is with the minimum PAHE mods (including HSH and AYGAS) installed into the system.  Like I mentioned before, Alternative Start and SkyUI were loaded too, along with the PAHE prerequisites.  But, 1 and 2 are probably the ones you want to look at...  I think...  I'm pretty sure...

They are already in Pahe. Slave A's current state is Waiting and slave B is listed as waiting (sandbox). If I take Slave A and go out, Slave B gets totally erased. However if I take slave B, slave A doesn't go anywhere. Maybe the sandbox thingy is the issue? I don't know anymore xD

 

Btw, Slave A is literally staying in the same place inside Breezehome while Slave B is moving around (hence the sandbox I guess).

Why does one have a order to wait here and the other to move around, I don't know :D

Now there is another issue. I am in Breezehome with 2 slaves. I restrain one and leave the house with the other. As soon as I leave, I get a message saying that the active slaves now are 1 down from 2. I go back to the house and the restrained slave has vanished... :(

best guess is slave 2 was just cleaned from the system as a none object when it couldn't get the actor alias on update game time

 

if the slaves were just transfered from aygas during this playthru, then it would coincide with the problems with zoning in aygas. but if the slave was already in pahe when this playthru started and you're just now leaving the slave alone, i would need an enslavement log to see what's going on

if we assume you have the bsa for that, we either have a problem with reading from a bsa file in mo2 or we have a problem with skse

best guess is slave 2 was just cleaned from the system as a none object when it couldn't get the actor alias on update game time

 

if the slaves were just transfered from aygas during this playthru, then it would coincide with the problems with zoning in aygas. but if the slave was already in pahe when this playthru started and you're just now leaving the slave alone, i would need an enslavement log to see what's going on

 

I don't understand what you mean by "during this playthrough". Are we talking about a new game or just a save. Also, I don't get "transfering from aygas".

Every slave I get is through enslaving them myself during combat, through PAHE.

Sorry if I sound dumb, I'm just confused :/

 

On the weird thing of the day... I took this slave who loves to be getting deleted every time I go into a dungeon or I leave the house, and I went to sell her as a working slave to Mixwater Mill. The moment I sold her to Gilfre, the slave wished that the wilds will claim me one of these days and then immediately she was tied up against a tree by Gilfre! I mean, not even 2 seconds after I sold her... Now, I know you can leave slaves in the wilds, tied to things and stuff but I have never seen an NPC do that do a slave. Anyway, I left.

 

Now when I sold her, naturally my active slaves went from 2 to 1. Then I used my Haven Bag (it's a mod that adds a bag in your inventory and when you equip it, it teleports you inside the bag where you can find beds, chests, enchanting table, etc.., which of course counts as cell change) and the weird stuff is that I saw again the "Active Slaves: 1" I saw before entering the bag. When I teleported out of the bag, which goes me back to the place I was before going in, the slave I sold was gone... Though the "custom" tree that was used to tie her on was still there. Every day I see something weird now :D

if we assume you have the bsa for that, we either have a problem with reading from a bsa file in mo2 or we have a problem with skse

isn't there a special way to install that for mo, maybe you instal it before mo but again in mo after any conflicting mods.

best guess is slave 2 was just cleaned from the system as a none object when it couldn't get the actor alias on update game time

 

if the slaves were just transfered from aygas during this playthru, then it would coincide with the problems with zoning in aygas. but if the slave was already in pahe when this playthru started and you're just now leaving the slave alone, i would need an enslavement log to see what's going on

I'm pretty sure that skse is set up probably to work with MO2.  It's the same setup I used in previous multiple versions of Skyrim SE without any issues.  I'll double check though...

if you load a save then capture a new slave and weird stuff happens, post your log right away. if you save and quit before the weird stuff happens, post both logs. current log showing weird stuff happening and the enslavement log showing what went wrong during enslavement to cause the weirdness

if your skse is setup then we may have to get more experimental. maybe try shifting papyrus and sl around in the mo order to let sl overwrite

The last few pap logs were games without pap utils.  I could enable it and try but...  not sure if that will help. 

 

I did find something that might have caused an issue with SKSE and MO2.  I started a fresh game after addressing it but got the same results as before.  2 represents the initial load.  I just let the initial scripts load, saved and logged out.  1, I captured a slave, sold her, saved game and logged out.  0, I logged back in and the slave was unowned.  I added pap utils into the mix...

I can't find earlier saves because I have the bad habit of deleting them, I only got 2-3 saves of the same playthrough at all times... This slave was not recently capture, remember, I was having problems with her at Breezehome too. I remember loading and testing a lot after that, so it wasnt a single session. I'll post two logs in case it was recorded or something, if it helps:

interesting results in pap0. overall its looking much better, but aygas showing a bit of a hickup when selling the last slave. see if it still has problems if you catch 2 slaves but only sell 1

Just got back to the good ol Skyrim and updated my AYGAS, and Ive been experiencing the same issues stated before. For me its ranged from selling slaves to NPCs and after a few minutes the owners saying they no longer own the slave even though the slave is right behind them as well as slaves suddenly gaining the power to turn invisible.

wb to skyrim, you'll want to review the last 2 pages for any similarities and check your skse and papyrus versions then post your papyrus log if you still have trouble on a new save

Was looking over the last 2 pages and my Skse and PapyrisUtil are updated as well. I'll try to get some papyrus logs here when I get home, but the specifics I've been seeing are as follows.

 

1. Sold Uthgerd a bandit in Bleak Falls Barrow. She immediately started training the bandit but as I delved deeper (before heading into the sanctum) the bandit disappeared I asked her hows the new slave and she said she doesnt own her anymore (Primarily I thought a new feature was done where slaves could run away from masters if they lacked training so I paid it no mind lol)

 

2. I was attempting to use Soul Gem Oven 4 on a slave but for some reason their stats kept resetting. I figured some sort of reference or papyrus log issue was going on but wasnt sure if it was Aygas Pah or SGO so I sold the slave to Uthgerd before heading to fight the first dragon. As I come back same thing occurs where she says she no longer owns the slave.

 

3. Wanted to test if I sold a working girl to the bannered mare if the same would occur. I sold the bannered mare a slave went into a different cell from the Keep it Clean mod and came back. When asked I was told it was still too early to tell but when I went to bed and asked I was told that the slave I sold was no longer owned.

 

EDIT: So I have narrowed it down. in order for me to recreate the issue, I have to sell a slave to someone. then exit the cell (I havent tried it within the same cell) then load the game. Once the game loads and I ask the Owner how the slave is doing, they'll respond with I no longer own that slave. The second Papyrus log should have the info im talking about since i forgot to turn on logging for the other 2 (papyrus0 102 kb) @Musje @CliftonJD ((Also I agree that it is most likely an issue with Papyrus Util as the latest version was released Nov 23 or so and thats when the issues some of us have been facing in regards to ownerless slaves started in the Forums as well :)   ))

I did as you said. Still the same issue. I captured a guard and sold a slave i already had along with the guard. Once i Loaded the save after selling the second slave I checked and I still got the same thing (I no longer own that slave)

thank you (both) for your patience. as odd as it seems that its only showing its face in aygas, these are both pahcore issues. the next thing i need is confirmation of were you using the whistle key before sale. if so, try it again without the whistle and try it with consoleutil (might be an unrelated issue with dd, but still need to rule it out first as dd is spammy before pahcore)

in fact it might also be best to experiment with stripping the slave before starting since the devious device hider is what's spamming the log. if the slave is locked into devices, its understandable if that's not a feasible test idea and i'm still going to look into a fix in the mean time, just ruling out other issues as the possible cause for the reason pah core is having troubles since i have no way of helping test anything in sse and have to rely on your feedback

I can start Testing but I'll go ahead and say that in that last log I sent There was no BDSM equipment used as I havent gotten any equipment at this portion of the playthrough. Im pretty sure whats spamming the log is probably a cloak spell log or something of the sort. As for the whistle command Im confident for those two logs I sent I didnt do so, but I can go ahead and make another one for further confirmation if youd like. Also thanks so much for  responding to feedback. Both of these mods are one of my must haves for SSE and I believe is one of the best mods out there ❤️
