I'm hoping there is a way to do something about it in concord or something ?? You can either try to escape/free yourself (just try to open the pip-boy, which shouldn't work because you are cuffed. It will open a menu with some options instead). But that might take ages, or almost just as long as crawling to Good Neighbour. Or there are some mods that might help in some "questy" way: DD Armorbench Unlocker, allows you to use workbenches to unlock devices (either for a fee, or you can also set it up to get the unlocking for free) -> Or you can use some settlers (or other friendly NPC's) to help with the mod "Boston Devious Helpers". If that one is active, you can ask someone for help. They might be in the mood to actually unlock some devices (can be configured via MCM). But it comes at a price -> However, there should also be an option in the Devious Device MCM that allows you to make an "Emergency removal" of all attached devices. 1

In the MCM it appears a "RC9 enchantings" menu (I guess it comes from the DCW mod), however it doesn't seem to work: The debug options do nothing, and the "supported mods" submenu shows that there are none installed, when there are actually several of them. Otherwise, it seems to mostly work fine: I do find cursed loot every now and then, and items get locked, etc... But the MCM menu simply isn't working. Other issues I'm finding that are likely related: Other mods that should use the Kziits devious toolset always go back to Real Handcuffs. I believe it is related to the first problem. I'd suggest you make sure that you have either only the original DD or only the RC9 patch (with all their requirements, or course) installed. Here's where you find the patch:

Whenever I put on the Restrictive boots with the Restrictive corset, the boots start to clip and HHS won't work. I also have 3BBB true wasteland body so maybe the combo of 3bbb and HHS is breaking something? every other torso clothing bit seems to work (e.g. the harnesses from KFT) so idk what the problem is. I also have a clipping issue with the gloves that is there all the time but it's not all that noticeable.

You completely remove old versions of DD and install fresh version of DD 2.0 RC9? There seems in esp can't found properties what is inside scripts, but not in esp. UPD1: There in log is still errors from another mods by not finding something, but i will not report it here. Just curious, are we allowed to separate the RC9 Devious Devices into a separate thread and/or mod page with the new requirements and such? I feel like we constantly run into people either running into bugs because of AWKCR or trying to find an alternative version to the AWKCR version either every page or every other page and the only person who is consistently here enough to inform people is izzyknows.

Probably a dirty VMAD record on the script. If you want to remove a property from a script you always need to unassign it first. -Open the script properties -Search the property you want to delete and clear it ('revert' button) -Press Ok until the open windows are closed -Save the ESP/ESM -Edit the script to remove the property and recompile After I've made myself to do these steps I've never had a missing property issue again. You can check in xEdit if you can manually remove the record on the VMAD attached to the quest script.

I mean it either doesn't work, or returns back to initial value after a couple of seconds. Do you know if DD is damaging that AV on a timer or is it something else causing a conflict of some sort ?

Just replace this step: -Edit the script to remove the property and recompile with -Add the property back to the script and save the ESP/ESM If that stil does not fix it then removing the entire script from the quest/alias/item etc saving and adding it again is probably the only way to really fix it. VMAD errors can be a pain in the butt. 1

It may happen in the following scenario: 1) DD RC9 is installed and game saved. 2) DD reinstalled (or something) to the previous vesion (Note: mods manager may cause this kind of mess), like the original DD or RC8 3) Game loaded. Due to for some players DD_Library quest and DD_ConfigQuest conflict between both in latest version i remove all calls to DD_Config quest from DD_Library and because this variable is moved to DD_Library. It not inside esp/esm only in scripts. Seems you have old scripts or somehow in save is left old scripts. UPD: can you send here config.json file how it looks (DD MCM) Edited May 31, 2025 by Elsidia
